Thanks for the recommendation Luke, this looks like some light and breezy fun. My cousin's in the UK at the moment and is bringing a copy of it back for me. It's a pity the game's not more widely available.
My 2 recent hidden gems are Ohanami and Tsukiji. Ohanami is sort of a mix between The Game and Sushi Go and Tsukiji is an interesting stock market/market manipulation, set collection game with great artwork.
i absolutely LOVE this game. I bought it at the Taipei Game Show, and my friends and I have been playing it for months. I seem to have got worse at it, while my friends have got better...but I really enjoy it still :)
There is a very good reason why that space is there in the middle. Read your manual again. I won't spoil it for you. If you can't figure it out, let me know.
I say keep Islands and ditch Carcassonne, mostly because the app exists and is amazing. Carcassonne is so bloated, and scoring gets super wonky as you add in more expansions. To me, my favorite way to play is with 2 players with double tiles and several expansions, and the app enhancements really streamline that, be it against AI, direct connect, pass and play, or randoms online.
Thank you! Love the game! 😊

Yeah it is, but it's a solid hidden gem.
Sounds great! 10/10 review.
I suggested getting this and maybe selling carcassonne. Didn't go down well with my wife haha
Agreed. It’s great and I love the advanced goal cards.
great review! love this format.

The dictionary definition of a hidden gem for me.
Great review!

Did you ever take out the insert?
I may have done, easy enough to store things without it.
@@TheBrokenMeeple there is supposed to be a secret treasure underneath it
Sounds interesting, my hidden gem is Spirits of the Forest.
Looks awesome! I really wish I was there to grab Mizo games’ Raid on Takao - that co-op looks fun
That's on my "play" list with a review to come after.
The Broken Meeple awesome Luke!! Yeah - I’ll def check back in and see the review!
Woo hoo! Solo mode!
Any plans of a solo playthrough for the channel?
If I can get the format to work soon, then yeah I don't see why not!
Is this available in the states? If no is it possible to order and have shipped to the states?
No idea, best check with Cool Stuff Inc or Mushroom Games themselves.
Board game Bliss selling it for $13.
Wow, great deal!! Well worth that!
