    Mr and Such you cannot have many tables left in your house after all the carving on them you have done, you need some more driftwood, and maybe you could have your meals from a tray!!! PS you always have good music on your videos.

    I use two squares of the scotchbrite on top each other. Why I haven't just cut that into a circle I shall never know...

    Great Video. How do you deal with dust? Is that a downdraft dust extractor table? Did you make it yourself?

    How do you keep the sand paper from falling off the mandrel, I can’t seem to have it stay on while sanding

    Great Video......when using the split mandrel, are you using PSA adhesive paper? Seems to stick to itself in the final wrap.

    • @carvingandsuch
      @carvingandsuch  2 года назад +1

      Yes I do and some cases if it doesn’t stick I use superglue

      @@carvingandsuch Thank you very much for making this video and answering my question on the PSA paper. Your sanding tool was exactly what I needed to get into tight grooves in the wooden Sea Shells I make. Going to make up a batch in different grits for quick change out.

      What kind of shells? Segment shells on scroll saw?

    • @rroe5718
      @rroe5718 2 года назад

      @@carvingandsuch Yes, I do Scrollsaw shells that are segmented. Each segment (36) is cut on the scrollsaw with table tilted and spiral blades to maintain the same orientation. Have about 7 styles of shells that I do this way. Glued together and then shaped with burrs such as Sabburtooth and Kutzall. Sanding is the tedious process and I'm always looking for new ways to get into the tiny crevices. Split mandrel will work great. This weekend I've made a couple of Split straight mandrels using Brass tubing.....Also work great.
