    I like your video better explain as my instructor specially the 45 angle. We have the same Lathe, too. Do you know how can I find the minor diameter chart for Threads with the Category of them I meant Loos, Free, Medium, Close. Thank you

    Is it expected that this method will give an inferior finish to using the top slide? When I use my (admittedly cheap) threading tools to do this, I get a lot of chatter and a poor finish. Also can I ask where the other videos in this series are please? Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

      This is a process that uses the whole edge of a tool to form an angle. This will chatter if running to many RPM. Surface finish can be torn especially if the material is gummy or the tool is not sharp. Use oil, light feeds, and the right RPM. I recommend 40 SFM for this process when cutting mild steel with a HSS tool. There are many videos. Check my channel.

    Turn the autofocus off on your camera. Jumping in and out of focus is annoying.
