  • This is just a short video on how fast / responsive these meters read a start capacitor. Thanks for watching!

Fieldpiece 440 is the best one for hvac. Good size as well fits in most bags 💯

It is darn hard to beat the good old Fieldpiece sc440. #TheWorkHorse

Exactly what I've been looking for. Currently have sc440. Testo 770-2, uei 429 and fluke 116. Thinking about 902. More testing of these meters would be cool

What kind of tests would you like to see ? And which meters ? I can probably make another video, I’ve been thinking about it. The 902 is a great rugged meter, if it did mV dc it would be a perfect home run meter, at least for what I test,

@@Jeepjones85 902 vs fieldpeice vs uei. High resistance, capacitance etc. As far as how fast they read and such. Thanks

Looked like the UEI range selected was nanofarads giving you trouble.

You know that's a good point, I'll look at that meter again and see if it has a different range on the capacitor setting. It was definitely trying to read nf but I assumed it would auto range. I do like the meter especially all it can do for the money

Wonder why The top FP reads the Cap too far off as compared to the two flukes.

I am currently looking to buy a new meter looking at the FP SC440 and the fluke 902 would be used for hvac and electrical. In your experience what one you think would be a better choice

I think you will really like the Fp for hvac work, it's a really great meter. It has a few more functions that the Fluke doesn't have. If your working on alot of industrial 3 phase 480v I would go with the Fluke. Hope this helps

Wouldn’t you have to discharge your capacitor after each test to to ensure a comparable test result? Really, what’s the big deal that one meter takes 900 milliseconds, and another meter takes 650?

    Does the SC440 read 575v?
