Absolutely love your style of teaching - like having a teacher in the room with me. Please keep adding more songs.

@@GuitarPracticeHub Now this bits true...the original name of the song was Desert Song ,then they changed it to Horse With No Name in 1972 and it became a hit.

Almost any time that I would pick up someone's guitar over the years (not having been a guitar player at the time) this is the song I would play. I discovered it unintentionally by messing around with the guitar. Same key but only the chorus. I also changed the words. So mine has nothing to do with being in a desert on a horse with no name. lol i changed it to "I've been baptized in Jesus' name... it felt good to get out of my pain...In the water you can forget all your shame... cause there ain't no one to bring it up again....oh, la, la....." ;)

Hi Joy, thanks so much for that story! Great to hear and I love your lyrics! How long have you been playing for now? Do you come up with many of your own songs?

@@GuitarPracticeHub Well, actually.... I'm only now getting serious with it. Before, I would just play my "go-to" songs, and hmmmm... and learned to pick a bit of "dueling banjos" at one time. lol So, I've been playing the guitar seriously now for about a week! lol (more like breaking in my fingertips though... :D ) I do play piano as well (which helps. with understanding. not with breaking in the fingertips!)
I do actually have other songs- lots! (how kind of you to ask!) Mostly praise songs, but also some positive songs/ fun tunes, "cool vibey" songs, and kid songs, etc. (Now to get them off of my phone... lol) How kind of you to ask!
Thank you as you've already helped me with finger placement (with a different video of yours). Thank you so much for even asking! God bless you! :)
