Check out my updated video on how to trim your own hair at home 😊ruclips.net/video/eHDQ-N8J_I4/видео.html
Hai @Tina Marie how long did it take for you to learn how to trim ur ends yourself and know that you're doing it correctly?( I spend $20 each time to get mines trimmed. I'm financially challenged lol I don't have money like that for something I could do for free).
Your skin is beautiful, your eyes are beautiful, your eyebrows are beautiful, your nails are beautiful, your hair is so beautiful.. Your just beautiful sis!!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Alisia Littles😍 your comment literally made my day! Thank you so much 💕
Beautiful chunky baby cheeks as well😁💞👍
Yes! Beautiful!! You remind me of Kenya Moore.
That's crazy. My cousin she's a hairstylist and she told me that some stylists didn't know the difference between a trim and a cut. I find it crazy how they don't know the difference, but they are supposed to be hairstylist. I haven't had my hair trimmed in about 2 years I'm a say, and I've never trimmed my own hair before, but I feel like I'm about to just start trimming my own hair myself. I'm going to have to suck it up and get some courage. If I mess up, it'll grow back because it's just hair. But great job.
Yes we do but some stylists will let you keep some dead hair.
And some won't cause it inhibits hair growth.
I think this is y my hair ain’t growing 🤣 I need to trim my ends 🤦🏽♀️
I think that's y hair not growing 2...but I'm scared to do it myself..but I'm going to try
Latoya Fields Don’t be scared. Even if you cut to much it will just grow back faster.
Yeah my shit get knotted ASAP & sheds something crazy every time I wash got to because I never cut my ends. 😂 Lol if it wasn’t for I definitely would of used those school scissors ✂️. I care about my hair more than I use too. Lol we got this.
Shon9tilR really? How often you trim your ends?
Lovelyy Nana right
I love how she’s not extra like these other natural hair bloggers. Great explanation and straight to the point.
lmao that eye roll was strong Asf. Great video sis
Martine Bernard girl these eye rolls don't be playing! lol thanks girl
😂I love it..
Its Black girl magic🥰❤❤❤❤
After seeing this, I feel comfortable I'll be able to trim my hair on my own. Thanks fir sharing
Ashlee Brown np! Thanks for watching 💕
Omg!! Similar experience. I was growing out my relaxer and told the hairdresser that I was. She started at the back and had cut all my relaxed hair off!!! It was so short I couldn't even tie it back. It was long too. I think it's jealousy and that's why I don't trust people with my hair.
How ever COMMA 😭 that took me out 🤣 also watching this in 2019 because I’m about to trim my own hair for the first time myself cuz then salons be trying to play our natural hair 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
“However comma” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Alisa Cox-West 😂😂😂
That's when you know it's real 😂
That's why I trim my own ends. If I fuck up it's ok-- but paying someone to fuck me up would have me feeling some type of way. It's weird, I know.
Not weird at all!! I feel the exact same way!! At least it'll be on me and not from me paying you to mess me up!! Trust me! I definitely understand lol
This was so helpful my ends we brittle and dull but once I did as you said my curls and hair is now healthy and beautiful again!
“Easy peasy, lemon squeezey.” This is a great video, thank youuu💕
I love natural hair salons but I swear they are a scam! $60 for a trim here in Chicago just because I don’t straighten my hair. But if I straighten it I can get one for like $20. I’ll just do it myself, with this method just fine.
Yes Sis, I live in Chicago too and I am no longer going to natural hair salons. I'll just do it myself. I have been disappointed too many times.
Scam at it's finest.
They probably don't know how to trim it.. I'm in Baltimore and adding it to any service is only 15 bucks... I always get my hair trimmed.. Just take off a little or whatever is needed
Finally found a video that teaches how to cut ends. The other videos were just rambling too much about unnecessary things🙄.
Thanks💕
I twist and trim. I love it and it saves you money. I paid three dollars fro hair shears.
Right! It's so easy and you get to save your coins!!
I twist and trim as well
I haven't been to salons in about 20yrs for that same reason. EVERY time I said TRIM they CUT...ugh!!!
Great video. Thanks for sharing...
LaVern Reid right! It's so annoying! But thank you so much and thanks for watching!😊
I have the same problem.
Lol the scissors you use in elementary school and when you cut the paper the paper folds 😂
Because those type of scissors will not give you a great cut.
I came down to the comments looking for this right here 😭😭😂
😂😂😂👌🏾
😂😂😂😂
Simple and to the point thanks
debra fortney thanks for watching! 💕
I am 4c and a trimming junky .... maximum growth with moisture retention
JustListen omg me too lol
Honestly the best video I’ve seen for my hair type! Thank you! This makes me feel like I can do it! Your hair looked great!
Thank you so much. Literally the best video on RUclips. I cut my hair last night, stretched and dry. Post cut (.5-1in) my hair looked healthier and more voluminous. Your tips were great. I used the first method.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
BEST HAIR TRIMMING VIDEO IVE FOUND . THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH 😍😍
Thank you so much for your help. Thanks to you, I over came my fear of taking sisors to my hair. Now my hair looks like a stylist did my hair, and it feels soooooooo good!!!! Thank you so much❤️
I love your hair tutorials. You are so down to earth and engaging, plus your hair is gorgeous.
ErmiMurMuse literally made my day😩😍 thank you so much!
Your eyes are so pretty
Asia Houston thank you!
SOOOO happy I found this video. I, too had a bad experience at a salon. smh long story short, I'm SURE she didn't cut enough of my ends off (It was my first trim since my big chop...almost a whole year later). I ended up paying more than I was told because their listed prices weren't up to date (I didn't know that until after I paid), and my ends were still looking crazy when I did twist outs! So yeah...ever since then, I said I would just learn how to trim it myself. I'm so happy you verbally explained how far you should be cutting..other videos just say "until about here" and I'm like "okay..there's no point on my hair that says "here", so how am I supposed to know??" LOL
Girl I just love that nail clicking sound when I braid my hair 😂☺️
First of all I love you! Thank you for this. And that color is giving me life.
Bad salon haircuts are the worst! My favorite stylist retired years ago, she was the only person I ever let touch my hair. She would spend a great deal of time giving me the most flattering, versatile, easy to care for cuts and perms that I was lost without her! after she retired, out of necessity, I learned to do my own hair (the right way) - cuts, perms, color and styling. After years of doing my own hair at home - and against my better judgement - I went to a "highly recommended" stylist for the first time in years. I DREW A PICTURE of the cut I wanted. I am a good artist, I draw awesome realistic portraits, so my sketches were like a photos of the cut from every angle. She turned me away from the mirror and cut and cut and cut. When she did the "reveal" I was horrified. It looked NOTHING like what I sketched and some spots were far to short to repair the cut. She teased my course, curly hair. Then she flattened it to my forehead with product (?). It was horrible and it was the kind of cut they give to old people in nursing homes! There was no rhyme or reason to this horrible cut! I was so embarrassed to leave that shop and be seen with that cut - me, an easy going, anything-goes kinda person, all of a sudden looking and feeling like everything was wrong! So now I rely on great videos and advice like yours to do my own hair - and for that - I truly thank you!😁
I’m a stylist, I turn my client either to the side or all the way around so that I have easy access to the tools and products on my station, not because I don’t want them to see. As far as the difference between a trim and a cut, too many stylists VIOLATE their clients length! I don’t even let any of my fellow stylists trim my hair anymore. Tired of getting butchered 😒
JessicaRabbytt 👏🏾👏🏾 I agree with you 100%😩
Thank you for this video I almost lost it and did a big chop. 🤯 but thanks to this video I just trimmed
You have pretty and thick hair, Loved this vid, I’m going to try this.
Your eyes are so pretty btw ❤️
Shay Lashyy thank you so much!😘❤️
Your eyes are gorgeous.
I. Cannot. Wait. Until I have your length. I just started....no relaxer since February 2018(so 30 seconds ago lol). You have a new subscriber💛
Thank you! You taught me how to trim my natural hair
Your eyes are so pretty and this video was really helpful. I’m about to go try this now
Thanks for the video ! I’m gonna trim my hair for the first time with your tips !!
Lord this has happen to me before never again! Thank you for posting Im about to try your technique
thank you so much for this tutorial! my mom doesn’t even let me cut my hair (she’s super traditional like that) even though i’m 19 now so my ends get crazy bad and even when i ask her if i can trim them she says no so imma have to take matters into my own hands. this tutorial really helps!
Thank you for the detail & 2 different ways to trim natural ends. I'm about to try it for the first time...wish me Luck
Charlene Bess thank you for watching ☺️💕 and you got this!!👍🏾💕
OMG...NEW SUB...I LOVE THE EYE ROLL GAME LOL...BUT GREAT VIDEO AS WELL... I'VE HAD BAD EXPERIENCES WITH 2 STYLISTS AND THEIR SCISSORS SO I'M TRYING TO LEARN TO TRIM MY OWN BECAUSE I'M TIRED OF WEAVE...
Great video. You did a wonderful job explaining and demonstrating. New subbie!
They make these videos look so easy when they do this...
Thank you for sharing! I will be trying this in a few hours.btw your hair and eyes are beautiful 💜💙💜💙
Ladies trim your hair as needed.I was able to grow my natural hair over 22 inches, just made my first RUclips video on this, and I only trimmed when needed. Don’t trim/cut just because, you are trying to grow your hair :)! Great demonstration on how to cut natural hair in its curly state.
Thank you for the great video. I tried it and it came out fabulous!
I will rather trim my hair my self than going to a salon
Great video ! Now I can go trim my mane ☺️☺️♥️
That pause before that eye roll! LMAO!!! "However Comma".
All this time I have been waiting on this information
thank you for this video 🥰💛 im most definitely doing this tonight 👌🏽 ..
This is honestly how I learned to cut my natural hair 😍😍
Love your tutorial. Save me a trip to the salon
She is such a natural beauty 😊
She’s gorgeous!! 💓💓💓
nice and quick and got straight to the point. thank you.
I am doing this as soon I get some non elementary style scissors 😂😂😂
I agree. Been there. That's why I am very picky who does my hair . Like now I want to go to a salon cause I know I probably have some heat damage cause my hair seems dry and I haven't had my ends trimmed in a long time
Toliessia Collins I definitely understand... Just do a lot of research and look at reviews of people who you have in mind
pretty healthy hair! Luv it...
Thank you so much!😊💕
Yes any hair you can see through cut it! Good vid!
You have a new subscriber !!! ❤️
Yasssssssss! Thanks love!💗
biiig help! I'm going to try this out in a few days
Was looking at my hair after washing it and my ends definitely need some TLC but I’ve been scared to go to a regular salon (not everyone can handle natural hair) and then finding an affordable natural salon is difficult sometimes,.. after watching your video my hair is getting trimmed tonight
Thanks for sharing. I been looking for a good video showing how to clip my ends! Great video btw.
Felicia Davis no problem! Thank you & thanks for watching 💗
You're welcome
Your hair is beautiful. I love the color. Going to look through your vids and see if you did it yourself. Side NOTE: ladies NEVER trim your ends in twists. It leaves it uneven.
You helped me a lot like literally💪💋💋💋 thank you and you're gorgeous
Your hair texture reminds me of angelic puffy clouds 🤩🤩
Hello Tina. I have a question, Instead of parting my hair the way you parted your hair to trim after you twisted your hair, I parted my hair in smaller sections and trimmed the ends that way. Did I do it right?
You are so pretty. I've watched this video so many times & I have yet to trim my hair because I'm too scared lol
Samantha Lynn thank you!!! & girl I understand lol just do it when you’re ready, don’t rush it 💕
Thanks for the video you got me to trim my ends while watching this i didnt realise how rough my ends were till they were gone felt like actual carpet
Trianni Pariz thanks for watching!& girl I know exactly how you feel! & your hair feels so much better once you let those dead ends go!💗
LOL!!
Love this video!! I’m the same way with my hair. I do not trust everybody. Do you ever experience unevenness in your hair since you trim your own hair? I trim mine & people always act so crazy about it lol.
Yasss that eyeroll was it!!! Lol 😂
Did you bleach and then dye your hair? And what do you put on your scalp ?
I just looked at your pic and was like ouee let me subscribe 😂😍
That eye roll was classic said it all...
you are a life saver. lord knows im not good at cutting hair and salons would fuck you up. they hear the word cut they think it means shave bald😂😂😂thanks to you im able to do it the easy way. i call it the tina marie twist n cut. again thank you so much for sharing your method looking forward to more vids😀😀😀
Thanks ma! I was terrified until I watched this👌🏾😁😁
Same thing happened to me when i went to the salon last year, our hair was about the same length before cut and she ended up chopping mine off, i was so mad and hurt cause i told her only 1 inch off she cut like 5 off and my hair wasnt even in the shape i wanted, never again will i ever go to salon i gave it a chance even though i had a bad feeling
Ronnie Adore girl I'm so sorry! These salons are the worse! But I will never go to one again either
That’s so trifling -even after you said only 1inch off...I hope you didn’t Pat for that
Your eyesss 😭😍
Super helpful!!!! thank you so much!!!
The 2nd option looks easy so I’ll be doing hat thank you for this video
Crystal Light no prob! Thanks for watching!
This video was very helpful. thank you🙂🙂!!
Beautiful hair and beauiful hair color!
Me: we all got to trim the ends even though I want to keep my length and be like everybody else 🤧
Inner me: but I don't want to be like everybody else 💀💀
Nice video.
I'm fed up with the scissor happy heifers, too. That's precisely what brought me here. I need to...NEED to start trimming my own hair.
Great results. I feel you cause I went to a stylist and I mention trim but it was stated that a trim is a cut. So it got layered cut. 🙁 I do my trim or my friend now who is also a stylist
Girl I agree with you though smh 🤦🏽♀️ . Those salons do get scissor happy 🧐. That’s why I’m getting my mom to cut mine this weekend, just a little trim to help it grow better 😌.
Awesome video!!!! Thank you!!
Yes I hear u I trim my hair to i like to trim my hair when it's wet and I also have conditioning in my hair
If you have a lot of split hair, do you think it's better to cut it all off at once or can you get away with doing it little by little?
hey great results!! did u blow your hair out first?
This really helped. Thanks !!
Toni Shanice you’re welcome 😊💕
Yo sis I know yu made this years ago but you just put me on some good stuff. Thanks a lot
When doing this method does your hair come out uneven? Tm is wash day & my ends need to go it's keeping me from growing my hair. Just want to be sure before I dive in
Do you recommend we trim our hair when blow dried or wet?
Thanks for the tutorial ! Btw your so Gorgeous 😍
Nice content! Keep it up!
Thank you!!
Girl, I have problems with my ends Being bushy and feeling rough😔 the front of my hair I can run a comb through there so easy no problem but ever where else it's an struggle 😓 do that mean I have alot of split ends and I need a trim?
TheFactsAccordingToGabbie1791 it definitely sounds like you may need a trim.. do you keep your ends moisturized... bc I know I used to neglect my ends all the time and they were always rough and bushy too until I started making sure they were always moisturized
Tina Marie78 thanks for the reply! And I keep my hair in cornrows under Crochet style so my ends are put away all of the time. I just keep my hair/scalp moisturize with a spray bottle of lco of my choice. But I think that's what it got to be, because my last wash day it was so easy to detangle ( I use cantu leave in condition on my natural hair for the first time since I been natural, I use to use it when I was getting a perm I went back to use it cause Africa pride wasn't getting it) my next wash day is this Wednesday so I'm going do the baggy method too. And see how my ends be 4 days later if still the same I'm going to the professionals and get it fix.
And do you do protein treatment? If so how often 4-6weeks? And how do I fit it in my hair regimen? Can I deep condition and Pt the same day? If so which one I do first PT and then DC🤔 sorry for the long paragraph 😅
Tina Marie78 my daughter has rough ends but she doesn’t have that untamed look at the end of her twist. Are they just lacking moisture? Her hair sets easily and she hardly ever sheds or has any sort of breakage.
Great job!😁😎
