Wow, I didn't know Debbie Reynolds had gone through so many struggles in her life! Jordan, I really do appreciate your vlogs and the perspective you give on Old Hollywood. I look forward to the new content you will bring since you have moved.
Jordan, another great video. Please never change your style and delivery. Your way of telling the background story just pulls you in. I usually watch them 3 or 4 times, and learn something new every time. Great story here, and never knew all this happen to Debbie. A shame people took advantage of her. Thanks for the memories. Love the Dog, keep him in your videos too !
I can't believe how incredibly horrible her second husband was and having to pay him alimony and for his condo is such a travesty after he basically stole everything from her and then getting robbed! She was truly a strong special woman to keep things going. Thanks for the video!
Harry Karl was bad news personified. Harry had hookers visit him in this house while Debbie was at work. She had to pay off all his gambling debts. I couldn't believe her marriage lasted as long as it did. I watched "The Pleasure of His Company" 2 nights ago, made in 1961, and I was saying to the screen, "Leave him now, Debbie, before it's too late! He owes the Mob money! You have no idea what he's going to do to you!" This is very difficult to listen to. Debbie's resilience was almost super human. So, the house on Greenway sold, with a 3-day escrow!? How is it she had only 3 days to move?
This makes me so furious for Debbie, Todd and Carrie. What a lowlife for anyone to take advantage of someone and steal money-even worse when it is your husband who does that! And then he goes through all her money, she loses everything and he got alimony? Sickening.
What a horrible ordeal she had to go through. Absolutely terrible that people she trusted would be so deceitful to swindle her, steal from her and treat her so badly. She always seemed so cheerful and upbeat, when inside her heart must have been breaking.
Poor Debbie, she really went through so much. She was fabulous every inch of the way! Fascinating video, Jordan! I was glued to the screen and couldn't look away! That lil Jah is such a little handsome dude, always puts a smile on my face. Thank you Jordan.
Thank you for the history about Debbie Reynolds and her children. I didn't know about her being robbed. But it seemed like she held her head up and kept on going. Keep up the good work Jordan! You are the best! Enjoy your new home!
Wow, wild tales. I remember reading that Debbies 2nd husband had put her in debt, and it took her years to dig out of it. Gambling is a horrible addiction. Quick thinking on her part about the jewelry in her purse, that whole incident could have ended in tragedy, they were all very blessed. Thanks for sharing Jordan, it's good to see Jah wag his tail💝🎆🐶
I watched a documentary on Debbie and knew about the husband but not about the home invasion. That woman was tough as nails and the ultimate survivor. I have so much more respect for Debbie and hope her and Carrie are in a good place. Bless you for this Dave.
Jordan - So much happened to such a talented and lovely lady. My heart goes out to her. So many tragedies and disappointments. She just kept on going. She reminds me of one of my favorite songs - "Smile". "Smile though your heart is aching, smile even though it's breaking..." Thank you for sharing this Jordan. Blessings-Judith 🎵🎭
Cutie dog . Great story about Debbie’s life . She was really hassled in her life . I glade she was able to work out , went on to have a blessed life . You are a good story teller . Thanks for such great videos .
I hope your new property has a great dog yard for Jah. Hope there is a dog park near your new place where you can keep him socialized. He sure loves you.
Jordan, you go from strength to strength with these great tours and insights. I always really enjoy them. You're a terrific host/guide. Best, Rob in NYC
Thank you for the shout out and the beautiful sun glasses. You are such a fine young man, always respectful of people and places you vlog. Debbie Reynolds is one of my favorites.
I just finished "My Girls." I hated having it come to an end. I immediately watched "Bright Lights" on HBO. Thank you Jordan for your visit with Todd earlier this year. Due to that I continued my love for the Reynolds/Fisher family.
Jordon, My wife said some fool put out info on your location . So sorry to here of this some people need to get a life. Now to watch this video thanks for your hard work. much love from Georgia. Debra & Mike
Jordan, you are one of my favorite vloggers. You do the most amazing tours and have so much interesting information to share. Congratulations on your house, so happy for you!
Wow! I never knew that about Debbie Reynolds, she went through so much but she was a strong lady and got on with her life despite everything. Full of admiration for her. Great vlog and Jah is always a pleasure to see 💕. Thanks Jordan.
Thank you for the great video on Debbie Reynolds, she was such a nice person and had so many bad things happen to here. She was one tuff cookie, and a very talented person. We also wanted to say that we enjoyed your live chat. We always look for to watching them. Keep it up. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day.
The only way to react to Debbie’s misfortunes is🤯🤬😡. Wow she really went through some tough sh*t with husbands! On a cuter note....Jah......he is the cutest dog ever!! Don’t worry sweet boy, you are about to move to your dream home❣️❣️ I guess I should’ve waited until the end! Seeing Shirley Jones house was awesome!! Young girls used to camp out on her lawn wanting her to be “their mom” based on Shirley Partridge!!
The only bad thing about being a celebrity is that people will take advantage of you and steal you blind. It happens to so many of them it's no wonder so many of them have trust issues. It seems that Debbie's 2nd husband saw her as his personal bank and went for a long luxurious ride. At least she got to recoup her earnings and started her museum/theater. It also begs me to wonder if the husband had anything to do with the robbery. Could've just been coincidence, I guess.
Debbie Reynolds was a very strong woman! Such a sad story! So thankful she was alright after robbery! Never knew about it! Thank you for another wonderful interesting vlog! 🥰👍🌹
I had no idea Debbie Reynolds went thru so much. It makes my problems seem small. Glad to see that Todd inherited his mother’s strength to the point in writing such a fantastic book in his mother & Carrie’s honor. ❤️🙏🏻Thanks Jordan for sharing these moments with us and thank you Jah for brightening up my day. 🐕🦺🌈 Now I have 2 mallard ducks 🦆 🦆visiting my front lawn these past couple of days. Hope that’s a sign of better times ahead. 🌳🌳
The death of the daughter is something she couldn't survive. I get it that she was 84, but if she lost her daughter at 64, she would had died 2 months later.
What an awesome VLOG. Well done as always, Jordan! Thank you. Listening to all that happened to Debbie was just making my blood boil!! Someone was stealing from her at every turn, it seems. Hearing that that low life thief of an ex-husband GOT ALIMONY sent me over the top! He came into the marriage loaded and proceeded to piss away everything he had and then STEAL from her and piss away everything she had and she finally gets shod of the loser, and SHE had to pay HIM!?!? That’s insane!
I read Todd's book, talking about this!.. BTW Loved the book!.. I loved the story about, when they lived in the other house, before everything went down hill, they would have big parties..Once Betty Davis was there, she needed the bathroom, and went into his personal bathroom, and he walked in catching her, but went into the hall..she kept talking to him, until she was finished, and came out!..lol.. Great book..Great Vlog!!.. Thank You!!!
That was fascinating! I had no idea all that stuff happened to Debbie Reynolds. I'm surprised she turned out so level headed. Shows what an amazing person she was.
Wow...!! That is a sad and frightening story. That's something when you think everything is going great in your life and then all of a sudden things just keep falling apart. Debbie Reynolds was an extraordinary actress. I've always liked her. Thanks for sharing this story with us. Love seeing Jau too. He's so cute !!
Hi Jordan, what a magical childhood Todd & Carrie had, it really is another world. Oh my, I think I would have died on the spot finding out all that money had been gambled and mortgaged away! Geez, as if moving ain't stressful enough without having a gun put to your head. That looks a lovely street to live on even though it was a smaller house. Great vlog Jordan.
It's so sad that all of that happened to Miss Debbie. All of the awful things that happened in some degree parallel her movie The Unsinkable Molly Brown. The ups and downs the character went through including the sinking of the Titanic. Thanks for another fun and informative vlog.
Wow, Jordan, this was fantastic. I can’t believe you remembered all these details. It was interesting to see the house they moved into after Greenway. The next time you go west to do a Hollywood vlog, can you do the house on LaMaida in North Hollywood that she had before the Coldwater Canyon house. You did a fabulous job on this, thanks so much. ❤️
Ah yes, 619 Oakhurst, at the far east side of the Flats, thus an easy getaway. Another example of the fact it doesn't matter how rich or famous you are, life can still be a struggle. Her time as a Vegas casino owner is yet another example. Debbie was one of the last Old Hollywood legends. After Doris Day died I'm not sure if any are left now. Although you mentioned Shirley Jones - she certainly qualifies as Old Hollywood. Who else can you think of? So much incredible history in Beverly Hills.
Wow! I never heard the story of the robbery before. Very scary!!! Sounds like Debbie's second husband was a total nightmare! I believe Doris Day's husband/manager stole her money, too. Thanks for sharing this with us. Hugs to Jah!

As much as I enjoyed the Debbie Reynold's vlog, OMG, JAH, just steals the show. That sultry look in the intro and then the happy go lucky Jah at the park, brought smile after smile. He really has a strong connection to his beloved Jordan.
Oh my gosh! I never heard that story. That is indeed sad & scary. I have read of where even kin of celebrities (who also manage them) "cook the books" and embezzle tons of money, leaving the "Star" in bad financial shape.
Shame Shame Shame on them. When people marry into money or inherit it they lose all sense of being responsible. Thank You you know a lot of stories keep them coming. I feel for Debbie Reynolds.
I thought at the 21 minute mark you had run a red light, but after watching again looks like just the left turn was red. I was like, Jordan watch out! Lol.
I danced with Debbie Reynolds for hours one evening at a Myrtle Beach hotel bar in early spring of 1983. I was 24 and she was 52. She wouldn't admit to be Debbie, and just give me a coy smile when I asked, but there was no doubt. Now, I realize she was single at the time, probably in Myrtle Beach avoiding the limelight because REturn of the Jedi was being released. She seemed lonely and I know I brightened her night. The kicker? I was always a great dancer when tripping on LSD!
Glad Debbie and her friends made it out of that robbery good. Could you imagine staying in the bathroom for an hour, afraid to come out, and opening the bathroom door so slowly wondering if the gunmen are still interested there. For a woman who’s been through a lot, she had a great spirit and outlook on life. I loved her and Carrie’s sense of humor too
I’m so glad I got to meet Carrie, she was funny! Got a picture with her too.
Me too
I can't believe how incredibly horrible her second husband was and having to pay him alimony and for his condo is such a travesty after he basically stole everything from her and then getting robbed! She was truly a strong special woman to keep things going. Thanks for the video!
Thats why she said, "out of three husbands.. Eddie was the best of her 3 marriages.. "
@@DazewithJordantheLion so true

Yes just disgusting

Great episode, I once read that Taylor and Debbie ended up being friends and Elizabeth left Debbie a very nice piece of jewelry that she had admired.
Read Todd's book about Elizabeth and Debbie being together during 9-11-2001
See the flick These Old Broads...Debbie and Elizabeth have a great scene where they discuss their Ex "Freddy Hunter"
