"I will never be safe. I will never be sane. I will always be weird inside. I will always be lame." When someone sings your innermost feelings. Sometimes you wonder if you'll ever be normal.
Blistering. Seriously fantastic performance. I keep coming back to this video. I watch it when I need to see some 100% authenticity and 101% heart and soul.
Everclear were one of the very very very few bands who could successfully straddle the fence separating punk rock and pop rock. Not many bands can do that.
these guys and pusa. there were a few more but those two stuck out to me most..tho presidents didn't get as much traction I felt them highly underrated.. good time to know radio.
“You would take me to a place inside that’s so hard to reach”… I’m 32 and I still feel this way about my dad. there’s just something special about listening listening to my old man talk. I couldn’t imagine my life without him. I feel for all of those that didn’t have their dad growing up. You are loved.
I really felt this comment. One of my friends was playing a 90s rock station on Pandora and this song came on. I hadn’t heard it in probably 12-15 years(I’m 22.)The second i heard it come on i felt instant nostalgia from my childhood and an unbelievable sense of love for my dad came over me. I cannot imagine life without my hero.
Arcade Fire's Laika performance was also a complete monster in a similar vein. Not saying it's better, just that if you dug this you might dig that. ruclips.net/video/_GED83N1RYA/видео.htmlsi=sp9On7bYrhXL7iYS
My boys and me could relate to that back then thank you Brian Brown for being a horrible father this song's dedicated to you and by the way thanks for terrorizing us
Wow what a performance- this is rock and roll therapy. Excellent. It seems to me Everclear could sometimes be hit or miss live; like a lot of great bands. This is definitely them kicking it - probably one of the best live tv performances of any band I’ve seen
When they were both on (like this vid) they were one of the best lead/backup tandems. Craig held down the smooth while Art's raspiness cut through. Also, just a big fan of Craig's playing.
He's in a band called Tacos in Hell now. They play a lot around Vancouver and Portland and Craigs vocals are always intense and awesome. He still rocks harder than most people in town

Wow. Huge performance. Wish I coulda been there… also, how the heck does he get through some of these lines without completely breaking down on stage. If not for the lyrics this song, just the instrumentals really kick ass.
I saw everclear twice- the first time his voice was obviously out ans i thought he must be a case of billy corgin. Then i saw them a second time and realized he just had a throat problem the first time because he ROCKED it!
sooo much energy. i’m excited to see them in july. also never new they had a guy that plays just snare cymbals and tambourine. also super tight, i wish my band could play this together
I did, watched them a couple weeks ago to get them off my bucket list, was so happy when I heard they were coming through town! As an 80s/90s kid I used to listen to them all the time...such powerful lyrics in all their songs.
Everytime I see this guy perform, my childhood and Ned Declassified comes to mind. Middle school and high school, so much fun, yet such a waste of time. P.S. I still don't have the right looks, and I still have the same old friends. Nothing changes but the names, the faces and trends. I swear I thought "High School Never Ends".

@velvetpilot2008 A couple of months after his last Everclear show in March of 2002, Davey joined with Storm Large (his then-girlfriend) and Everclear's former keyboard player James Beaton to form Storm and the Balls. Everclear barely toured that year; I think he just decided to make that his main gig.
You eat your daddy in every world and then sing this😂 every world, same thoughts in your head, right on the clock with the world right over. None of it is time traveling
@@baconator1550 i guess you’re right i mean you gotta move on from that stuff when you have a life of your own. but i think the song was also just him saying he was gonna be a good father to his kid yk?
Ultimately an anthem to breaking the cycle of abuse. And that’s no small thing.
Beautifully said

I believe it was Greg (the drummer) who said it was the one of the most in sync performances he could remember
I love that they were like, "We need more cymbals, how can we get more cymbals?
I know let's a person who plays just cymbals and snare drum... yes!"
still one of their best live performances of all time.
Everclear: Powerful rock with psychological truth and social commentary.
Love it
i love craig montoya's back up vocals though so fucking good

One of the highest performances on TV , hands down 👏🏼
Blind Melon "Change" on Letterman, the night after Kurt died is by far the best
This still sounds great !!!
What an energy man, so awesome ;-)
The worst part of child abuse is that it scares us to death to have a child of our own because we are terrified of perpetuating the cycle of abuse.
Art is so talented
One of'em best performances :0
I know this band from the name of this song, I am crying, A+
"And the wife I saw you beat!!" Gives me sadness and anger every time
Damn what a performance
