I've just been SUFFERING with Toki. I'm at ~90 monsters killed. I get good treasures and bad loot, good loot and bad treasures. I get good treasures AND good loot, I get hard-counters to my deck. I get good loot, good treasures, and bosses I'm strong against, and I get shitty draws! She's the last one I have to finish! I'M JUST. SO. MAD. :
Another great video with good tips for the most part but I feel one tip has slip through the net. There is an active treasure that is a 5/5 3 cost card that causes you to swap hands with your opponent and I think this is hands down the best active treasure. The possibilities are endless. When you have it, on any turn after turn 3 you can just play it, get a look at your opponents hand then use your hero power and play as normal, knowing if your opponent has that removal they need or if you need to keep your own against a stronger minion. Especially good against infinite toki as you can use it on turn 9 to steal her 10 cost restart the game which you can use if you need it or just deny her the card. Also good if you run out of hand and need to swipe your opponents.
I just beat toki’s run and I basically beat the whole thing with double time, robe of the magi, and as many arcane missiles, breath of sindragosa, cinderstorm and greater arcane missiles as possible, these will never hit you or your own minions through double time, and the added spell damage makes these spells LETHAL. But I was also lucky to not come up against any of the bosses that directly counter spell casting which was nice.
I had enhance a matic + double time (I dont remember the rest tbh) And got call of the wild. Casted it as my first spell in next turn and had a full board ready to dish out LOADS of damage. Really nice combo :D
Thanks a lot! At first, I managed to let Icy Veins convince me that Double Time sucked, because it only considers Fireballs and Pyroblasts. But turns out there's a very large number of spells that are strictly friendly, such as Molten Reflection, Arcane Missiles, Flame Cannon and, of course, Time Warp. After you enlightened me, I managed to beat the run in only 2 more tries, largely thanks to Double Time giving me 2 extra turns in a row. I didn't even need Treasures; it was mainly down to the passive treasures - Khadgar's Scrying Orb and Double Time. The deck was average, because I had lots of awkward mixes such as big legendary minions, elementals, mechs... ach. But fortunately, 2 turns in a row compensated for that pretty nicely.
Damn man, I've been trying to beat this dungeon for about a week and I couldn't do it without your help. Thank you for this. I just needed to know which passives and cards to take.
I had really bad luck when trying to beat it as Toki. Like it took me 200+ bosses to make it work for me. :P Kept drawing cards that didn't fit well with each other. I tried to pick options like double time, robe of the magi, but it blew up in my face constantly because it gave me lots of spells that could hit my hero or my minions on the second try... And if they could hit my side they did... Every single time, even with resets... In the end once I got beyond frustrated, I began building my strategy around "first aid kit", especially since for infinite toki it kinda makes her resetting the game a lot less important. After several more tries against secondary bosses toki is horrible against, I was lucky enough to get entrenchment as the second passive so my early monsters had a much bigger chance against hers. Still after a long fight she was down to one health and she managed to clear the board entirely with a spell she had gotten from enhance-o-matic, but luckily the Lich King I had played earlier had given me a frostmourne, so finished her off with a direct attack. :P In the end I didn't feel any accomplishment when beating it with toki, like at all. It was more relief... Because the entire thing, every time I lost and when I finally won just felt like it was up to chance/luck... Chance in the bonuses, chance in the cards she got, and chance in the secondary bosses Toki faced. And when I beat Hagatha (Using your guide, which worked perfectly) I was very disappointed with the reward for all of this, after all the pain with Toki. :( Especially since I really wanted Crowley or Tess as different hero skins for their classes. (Though obviously expected them to have same hero power as the normal hero outside of this mode. But no cool reward like that, or even a cool card...)
Yeah, randomness sucks. It's too... random. And there are simply not enough options to mitigate randomness. I often fail even against the 1st boss, because everything is SO random, and you have so few options to actually hit the boss in the face.
Thank you, THANK YOU this guide helped me, although the biggest issue with this boss' set, is that halfway through most of my runs the mid boss always seemed to counter whatever cards style I had. But I finally got it. I also got 2 time-clocks so my spells tripled, ironically the future tink was stupidly easy when I finally reached her. *Granted I've lost to her some 5 times before this time where I won* But yeah the hardest part, is getting to her not herself.
I think you should make a special annotation for Beardo. He lets you reset a turn multiple times, and is in fact the only reason I beat Infinite Toki the first time I saw her.
In case anyone's still suffering with Toki, here's how I beat her (I'll put tl;dr on bottom): After doing about 15-20 rounds (cca 96 bosses), I finally managed to beat her. I tried everything, from strong spells to double spells and even trying to combine the extra turn quest. Nothing worked. Still not sure if this was because of bad rng or sth else, so who knows right. As I became more annoyed with it, I started to pick other treasures (what would some consider to be averege or worse). To my surprise, the last game I played and did that, was the game I won. I picked the treasure "start with 1 extra mana" and "minions higher than 5 cost 5". The third one was shitty option so it's not even worth writting it. Basically, I destroyed her with big minions and overall presence on the board. Ysera on turn 5 was god mode, and Lich King also. So the situation was, after 5. turn, all bosses tryed to clear my board while I was just pumping it. I rarely used my HP, mainly for cards I didn't pick (those "random" cards). The only hero I never managed to beat was that one on level 7 that evolves for 0 mana. Tl;dr - pick 5 mana big minion cost, extra mana on start for treasures; control the board with big minions and go face with big attack rather than trading (unless the boss has some kind of HP that would potentially harm your board)
Alright, so this one was the worst but I finally got it, and this guide definitely helped. I got "Robe of the Magi" and "Double Time" which I highly recommend. Another thing that helped was also Savannah Highmane from a Portal which I then duplicated about five times. The last thing that got me through it was that I didn't have to fight "Azalina Soulthief." She's the hardest imo.
1:37:I almost lost my run thanks to double time where I pyroblast infinite toki (cause I have no other options to have lethal besides that and no lethal=lose next turn) the second pyroblast went my face, causing a draw and restart that battle again. Thankfully I beat her the second time.
i beat her with y'shaarj rage unbound, which summoned big minnions from my deck, and when the board was full... i just atacked face with the minions as much as i could and the used the amalgamation for a big 90/78 minion and destroyed her
The number of people who cant pronounce HEARTH is astounding. This guys sounds English, Here in the uk I've never heard anyone get it wrong...till now lol
I actually hate the RNG in this. I ALWAYS GET A 1/1 SQUIRREL and my enemy always gets a bloody 5/5 dinosaur. Like wtf. I have killed 130 monsters now and still havent won
did ANYONE enjoy this challenge? Anyone think the rewards are even worth a 100th the grind it took to use super duper rng vs board filling boosting and restarting enemy’s? I can’t think of any reason this challenge exists beside helping players lose interest in the game
Its a fun challenge and a nice time killer if u dont feel like playing ladder. If these challenges were really that hard for you, maybe you need to work on yourself.
I mean I just can be unlucky as fck, I even trade everytime cause they pull everything from their asses. I MEAN HOW THE FCK SHOULD I CLEAR A BOARD FULL OF 7/7 4/5
toki time tinker is scammed and not beaten 500 times and every time on lvl 1 the game is fixed and I am defeated all videos of you tube out tried and nothing works so for all players who think it can be defeated but once know otherwise there is a cheat way.

You can double time time warp for 2 extra turns, this is a very good strat too!

Tommy, you truly are the unsung hero of Hearthstone.
In the name of the community... We thank you.

I love your witchwood guides. I have been trying to beat them loads of times last few days, after watching your guids today ive beat 2 of them tonight

whats the reward?
A card back. :P So pointless if you are already happy with one of the card backs you got.
I cleared with toki first attempt. Feels bad man.

That little noise you make after laughing kills me evertime :)
I got so triggered when you reset the 0 mana beardo drop, that is the most OP thing you'd ever get for Toki!
I came here specifically to ask, nay, DEMAND Tommy J to come back and make those awesome video guides. :-(
Double spell, quest for mage, cabalist tote and a really big minion. Sit back and enjoy 3 turns in a row with a lot of spells.
i beat her with y'shaarj rage unbound, which summoned big minnions from my deck, and when the board was full... i just atacked face with the minions as much as i could and the used the amalgamation for a big 90/78 minion and destroyed her
Thank you! keep being you much love from Sweden.
I beat toki on my first run because of your guide. Thanks!
Thanks for the great guides Tommy J! Great advice! Do you have any guides for Rastakhan’s Rumble? Maybe I missed them on your playlists.
surely mob is quite op with double time as you get 4 of the full board wipe ones
The number of people who cant pronounce HEARTH is astounding. This guys sounds English, Here in the uk I've never heard anyone get it wrong...till now lol
Tks! It realy helped me beating her!
Dude I have 221 monster kills, and haven't gotten to final boss. I've tried everything, and I still get stomped near the end
The spellslinger both gave you shatter
i cant even get to Infi Toki ive only gotten there twice
Yea what to do if the opponent casts destroy all minions summon a 50 50 like that shit destroyed me 5 times now
He took 1 damage :O
I easily got her down to 1 hp easily, then she used her time reset and beat me in a few turns. tried so many times but i cant get back to her.
I actually hate the RNG in this. I ALWAYS GET A 1/1 SQUIRREL and my enemy always gets a bloody 5/5 dinosaur. Like wtf. I have killed 130 monsters now and still havent won
I have won with every character except Toki, the last boss killed me..
Those guides seem a lot less in depth then your dungeon run videos.
I am just getting destroyed in this game mode...
.....i still cangtt beat it i can beat any of the solo adventures
did ANYONE enjoy this challenge? Anyone think the rewards are even worth a 100th the grind it took to use super duper rng vs board filling boosting and restarting enemy’s? I can’t think of any reason this challenge exists beside helping players lose interest in the game
