  • The local took a bit to get moving again, so I tried to stop at Mickey Dee's to grab a quick bite. Of course, as I was in line, I heard his horn in the distance, so I quickly got my food and rushed over to this crossing and got out just in time to get the crossing in action. This is quite the nice, but very unusual crossing. It has a WRRS gated signal and a gateless signal, all with 8" LEDs and a WRRS bell. This is not a one way street, so I have no idea why isn't a full gated crossing. It may have been one way at some point, but not anymore.
I also really like this spot because of how tight the tracks fit in through here. Just around the corner too is where Joel Lawrence caught local spinning its wheels like crazy.

Glad you were able to get a video of this crossing! I've seen a few crossings like this with only one gate arm as well, the one I've filmed was this way due to a large intersection right next to the crossing, where there wasn't enough room for CSX to install a gated signal on the one side.
