Did my first cut today and I’ll say it’s a 5/10 cut. One side was better than the other and the back is ok. Overall look will pass until the next cut in 2 weeks to practice more! Thanks for your tutorial. Didn’t realize that this cutting technique isn’t hard. The hardest part was the hand movement and motion control.
@Paul I want to do this cut, I had it back 23 years ago when Jon b was doing it in the 90s, but now I'm tired of braids and I want this cut, you think my hair is to trained to be pulled back, that I can't get it to lay flat and nice bangs let line up like this?
@Paul that's what's up Paul I appreciate it, yes I just got it cut yesterday and I've been brushing and sleeping with a wave cap to help it, it actually looks pretty good, I'm happy I decided to finally cut my hair
I can relate to this. I’ve been cutting my own hair for the 3 years now and I never thought it would be a useful skill to learn. Definitely came in handy when this pandemic started 😅😅 clean work bro much love 👍🏽
Bro not only that but we save hella money! Especially when Barbers just keep upping the price 😒😒… i bought my own clippers and been cutting/trimming my own hair. Granted it’s not perfect or comes out like a barbershop but im getting better and better. And i can always trim on demand when my side burns grow quick
Started doing selfcuts again since ages ago and I gotta say its okay if you mess up! I went full bald a couple times, learnt from the previous mistakes and redid it. Now I'm good at 1 to fade and trying to learn 0 to fade method. Wish me luck!

Phenomenal skills. The hardest thing is to get used to the mirrors and directions. My brother definitely has done this before. Swaveé!!! Beautiful job.
I got the chance to see this video. It was a honor thank you. I do cut my hair and my son's hair and family members. But I go to the barbershop to get a cut also. It was nice to see how you took the time to explain the guards and blending and using the corner of the blade to get better results. Hands up bro Keep doing you thing you have a good method on cutting and teaching others who want to learn you will go far God bless
Recommendation y’all. Practice cutting your hair after a week from a professional cut. Good way to practice. People f up because they have all this bulk on top and side.
Did anyone else notice this guys left hand game? My man waz killin it when he had the clipper on his left hand while using a mirror! Mic drop 🎤 Skillz man!
Been a barber for years and a self fade is definitely the most difficult I typically have a taper but every once and a while I will give myself a fade but it takes me like an hour and a half to 2 hours... great work
I just give myself a Peaky Blinders cut with a number 1 all the way up to the top and then its long on top with no blending but I've never seen someone give them self a fade, and a really good one at that. Great job
Haha i used to do that too,i started off with only #1 number all around, now I'm slowly getting into more complicated cuts,I'm a bit hesitant to try this one tho.
Yea bro the cut came out smooth bro. Definitely have some skills. Not too many ppl can cut their own hair. I've been cutting mine myself too with the fade since I was 16 and now I'm 35. Never paid a dime. You gave some good tips for me for real. That fade was blended smooth and perfect
Ever since i saw ur first quarantine self cut video it inspired me to cut my own hair bro, Mid fade bald that's how i cut it too. I bought the 5 star senior clippers and the wahl detailer. Its easier blades are good and sharp, but i have a hard time too fading the back lol, byt yes practice makes perfect. Thank bro keep up the vids
I thought my cheap clippers were the reasons my self cuts are so so...turns out it’s me and my sorry skills 😬.This dude got skills with cheap clippers damn it I feel bad...nice work dude
Finally gave it a go!!! It looked not bad for my first time as a complete novice but practice makes perfect! So I'm going to give it a couple more goes until I get it right. I accidentally dropped the line in the back of my head a little too low. 😂 😊
Yh bro you got 2get use2 holding the clippers when doing the back going left and right it's confusing at first I been doing it for last 20yrs 😂🤣😂 I saved £25 for fades every 2weeks for last 20yrs u get use2 it bro good luck!!!
Raks is the best hair cutter from Turkey, and the first to introduce fade combs...and the little static trimmer is a good addition. In fact Latin, Turkish and African barbers are the best when it comes to cut style.
You need to pick up them pop barber clippers off Ali express. Best budget clipper hands down no lie!!!!! Range of masters, jrl 2020c motor, babyliss fx body, 4 hr run time and two speeds. I would recommend swapping cutter blade to wahl, but other than that these clippers are the truth!!! 🔥🔥🔥 Perfect blendz and just the perfect all around clipper. Check em out they won’t disappoint 💯💯💯
I'll try the tutorial at a later time and see how it goes. First I'm going to see how well I do without the guidelines. I did this cut every week without using guidelines and my unit couldn't tell that I did it myself, but that was a very long time ago. So, I'll see where I'm at first then try out your method. Nonetheless, thank you for the tutorial. I never thought about doing a fade this way.
