Hi Adam, your introduction is great! I like the way you explain what, why, and how. Quite clear and easy to understand. Now I know that Azure AD is the identity provider and access control service in the cloud. I'm a BI project manager for one of Microsoft's partners in China. I'll definitely watch more of your sharing videos of other Azure products. Thanks a lot!
Today I've searched for some material to understand Azure AD better for my current project and I thought how good it would be if Adam had a video about that service - as the best source of the clearest explanations of Azure services. And now I've just got a notification about this upload :D Thanks for these crystal clear explanations and high quality content! Cheers
Excellent !!! Would love to see more in depth videos of Azure AD covering its other features. Combination of theory, followed by simple practical is amazing. Please keep uploading more interesting content. I’ve started my AZ-900 and AZ-104 journey with your channel. Your work is truly commendable..!!! God Bless..💫
Hi Adam, Thank you for the great explanation and presentation. Did you post the detailed explanation and difference between AD-DS, AAD, and Azure AD-DS as you mentioned?
Thank you Adam ❤ have you made any playlist for other courses such as Ms azure for associate level? can anyone give me the link where i can learn for free, how this guy has taught us. I'm looking for azure developer or azure data engineer.
Hi Adam thanks for your clear explanation about AZ AD, on my side i use free subscription from my organization but i don't have any admin privileges' so i decided to create my new tenant where i can use learn, i need to know if this will not affect the organization subscription
Adam, I have learned a lot from your videos...Your videos are awesome and very easier to understand...would you please continue this AZ administrator series.??
What an excellent overview - especially the segment at 27 min comparing on-prem vs Azure and how each fits against each other. Thank you so much for this.
It's not possible to create roles with a free account. If you want to connect any application to the proxy, or even create a role, in order that altogether can be useful, you have to have to pay a high amount. Azure AD is for enterprises. Most of options are restricted in free mode.
It was always surprising to me that custom roles require higher license, but that said Azure AD pricing is per user so small organizations pay comparatively less to enterprises. App proxy makes sense as it requires extra throughput from Azure to proxy and secure your app traffic. Although if you would ask me, I wouldn't buy P1 just for roles, but if I would multiple features from this tier then I would. Things like conditional access policies and app proxy are good candidates.
Helped me coming from AWS to see how Microsoft plays their game as I'm preparing for AZ-104. Watched some other videos on this and the explanations weren't clear but after this I was able to mess around with it on my own and learn a lot.
Can we create our own login and sign in page and then make a request asynchronously to get the token ? Will azure ad alwas use microsoft accnt to lgin ?
For Azure AD you can only do a basic branding docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/fundamentals/customize-branding?WT.mc_id=AZ-MVP-5003556 You can also try to do Azure B2C docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory-b2c/customize-ui-with-html?pivots=b2c-user-flow?WT.mc_id=AZ-MVP-5003556 Or integrate with custom IDP docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/external-identities/identity-providers?WT.mc_id=AZ-MVP-5003556 docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory-b2c/add-identity-provider?WT.mc_id=AZ-MVP-5003556
Hi Adam, Thanks for your nice explanation. It's really helpful and clear. But I have a question: Can I add (as a global administrator) a new organization with new domain which belongs to the same Tenant/ azure AD ? If yes, how I can do so ?
Hey, thanks! Unfortunately I didn't understand the question. If you are asking if you can add custom domain name to Azure AD then yes. Otherwise please rephrase the question.
I have seen almost all videos on azure fundamental and the way you explained with boxes and pictures is really helpful. I have cleared my fundamentals exam and now looking for azure admin exam soon. Your videos and whole page with cheat sheet n practice test help me to grow in this area. your videos helping beginners. Now i am looking for more knowledge and learning thru your channel. please make more videos for the exam-specific as you did for az900
Nice video.... few questions I have .... 1)If I want to add user which not part of Active directory users or group. Will I able to add him in Resource group access control? 2) How many active directories organization can have or is it only 1 ? 3)When new joinee joins the organization, his name directly available in search box of access control IM , Its mean his name is already added in the active directory of the organization ?
Thanks for watching. 1. yes, 2. many but only one is the main used for roles in azure (but you can federate others or use external guests), 3. probably, I'm not an admin of your org but if you see him in azure IAM then most likely yes.
Thanks again for the great videos Adam! I'm super interested to see a video on Azure Synapse Analytics, I've been trying to use it and struggling and there isn't anything good on youtube covering it!
Synapse is on the way. Sooner than later. API Management, Synapse Analytics & Workspaces, Service Bus, AZ-900 full course. All high on my list of topics. :)
Hi Adam, very good video. I just want to know i have one requirement where i need to configure Kafka cluster on Azure and want users can access the application using Azure AD only. Pls suggest which service i need to use. Thanks
HI Adam, After completion of AZ 900 , I am looking more Session from you on topics of AZ 500. It would be nice if you can have List & Materials for AZ 500.
Platinum kudo’s (not golden kudo’s) on how you explain such subject in a simple manner. I’d like to elaborate why. And I definitely think others would agree on this. It’s inspiring how you explain Azure Active Directory with such clarity. This video is really well structured and the story is crystal-clear. And I saw some nifty presentation tricks. 🤺 I admire the way how you explain things, you convey your story in a very attractive, simple and clear cut way. And as a bonus (result) it motivates me to learn even more. Telling stories is one thing. Tapping into someone’s brain is a whole other game. Also, you sum up the take-aways. I always ask myself. “What did I learn?”. Hence I really like how you wrap up the session. Thank you again. The day just started and I already learned something new.
12:51 I don't get it, so he (tom) can manage AD if he has proper roles, which he doesn't. What is "proper roles"? I'd be thankful if someone could explain. Also, at 13:09 why can't the admin grant him privileges? Can't we grant privileges through Access Control (IAM) by adding tom to the 'Owners' list? Isn't that what we've learned in previous episodes? Or am I missing something?
Thank you! Unfortunately Intune is an Office365 offering. For O365 I only know SharePoint, PowerBI, PowerApps and Microsoft Flow on a intermediate level, but not much about intune :(
hey adam, do you have or planning to make a video on how to join a azure domain on a vm? I haven't understood the process 100% but i have learned how to do it. would be great to see what's actully happend during that time.
Hey, did you try this guide? If you have Azure AD DS it is pretty easy to follow docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory-domain-services/join-windows-vm
What if I want to have a web app for clients, where they can have their own personal blog. Can I set authentication with Azure AD and when they login, they see and create their own blogs. Is that possible with Azure AD?

Hi, thank you for your video, it's so good to me. I want to ask about Azure AADS. Can we use external DNS for this service? For example, I have an Azure AADS Service and DNS Service on GCP (cloud DNS or other things like Infoblox or Bind on GCP Instance), can we do it? Or we must use Azure DNS for this project. Thank you
@Adam, could you help me with getting how can I have another azure account so I can play with Azure +30days. I finished my 30 days free from Azure Pass - Sponsorship, I had an Azure pass, now, for continuing to study, what do you suggest me doing it? Thank you very much. I've tried pay as you go, but it charges already some support, even if I don't create any resources
MS Identities are always breaking for us and leaving users dead in the water since they can't access VPN, office apps, etc... Having to logo out , disconnecting identities, logging back in, running dsregcmd /leave & dsregcmd /join, praying , rinsing and repeating. The concept is ok but the execution is trash. MS Authenticator also fails frequently or has long delays in providing a notice. More buggy crap from MS but we have to learn it.
Cześć Adam, podpowiedz proszę. Mam całkowicie nową firmę, zaczynamy z "czystą kartą", około 30 pracowników. Co chcę osiągnąć? I don't like Azure AD, I think working with windows AD is much better, you can see and feel the whole process. It is like new way of programming before we had to write code now we move som object around to code something.

Do I need a subscription to create a new tenant in Azure Active Directory using a new user account? Have there been any recent changes regarding this requirement?
YOu assert in the video that in Client -- Server setups about 10 years ago that Identity Providers didn't exist. This is very far from true. Active Directory has exist for 22 years and is the most common Identity Provider in the world. AD was preceded by Windows NT. While there are manay applications that use the "internal" user data base, even today, there are tons of applications and solutions that use or depend on Active Directory. In particular, in your example, SQL (or MSSQL) has used Active Directory for a long time.
After watching a number of your videos, Adam, I've probably saved at least 50 hours of time setting up systems to improve out company. Your work is invaluable. Thank you very much for the enormous effort it takes to make these videos. Outstanding, sir, outstanding! Dziękuję!

And I don't mean social media popularity but how often they are used within Azure. I hope you will still find those videos interesting though.
Hi Adam, what if the client is a program out of the AD (NO INTERACTIVTY) and the server is an api endpoint. Is it still the better way to secure my api ? Or I should implement a sort of ApyKey Managment ? Do I need still a token ?
Hi Adam i have a question for you ---- there are few applications running on on-premises and few applications running on AZURE CLOUD what are the best practices to improve implement to performe these applications to interacting both on-premises as well as azure?
Hi Adam first of all thanks for the helpful video about Azure. I am an IT technician what course is useful to me? I have checked AZ-900 and I found out it is for sales person or IT consultant. Am I right?. Thank you
Hey Adam hope you doing good I want to say that thank you so much for making this informative vedio.
