I’ve always used the lil chizzler to smooth out a spot where maybe some felt from a gasket got into the film. With some decent heat and some good pressure from the pink chizzler tool it will take care of it
Question - what is a heat gun for? Ive been watching your tutorial videos, which I love by the way, and I am about to do my first tint job. Ive seen lots of people do a fine job without a heat gun, but yours always look better. Why use a heat gun?
gahhh I'm not sure yet. I've never done an in depth film review before and it really needs to be somewhat scripted so I don't run on tangents all video lol it's still on my todo list and these comments are always a good kick in the ass. my short answer for now is I like it for the price but I really have to figure out how to test longevity and that hasn't been done without leaving film on your car for over a year. my lamps might give some good insite tho
Hi thanks for the video really good help. One thing i wasn’t sure about if you could clear up, the glass station you have in your shop to put the tint on be installation what thpe of glass is that? Laminated? Thanks
You got any spare rolls of tint? There's no dealers that I can buy good tint from in Hawai'i and tintdepot won't ship to here. I'm just only trying to do my truck and don't want those cheapo blue walmart tints. Great videos though, keep up the good work.
Not sure if you'll see this, but I noticed Aliexpress stocked some 2 mil ceramic tint for a fair bit less than what Gila goes for here in Canada. Any chance you might be able to test a roll or two out of the Aliexpress stuff and gives some notes on how it compares with the off the shelf stuff you've tested already? Cheers.
Thanks man! glad ya liked the video. these often become much more work than I think when I set out to make it lol if ya pick up some of the tools, let them know I sent ya over!
Have you ever used Flexfilm products from Ralph at all, if so what do you think? Also what are the chances of having one of those epic events on the northern east coast? I want to go bad but not sure I can swing going down to Florida, I understand it was probably a ton of work to set up so I get it if it's only one time too.
yea I am familiar but I have not seen very many good things lately. I actually am going to be cohosting another class on Chicago in March. more details will be available for that in the coming weeks
I use Flex Film Daily and have their Nano Carbon on my personal vehicle. I myself like the film, but then again I haven't used very many different brands. I have a Lancer I'm about to do and the guy has some Lexan pre cuts. Gonna a see how i like it. ALSO I'm from Alabama and so is Ralph. I personally like the fact it's in state so that's my main reason for buying on top of it work well for me so far.
@@derekramos3100I have their nano ceramic and I like it so far but like you said I don't have much experience with much else. It does have a slight bluish low angle haze but it's not bad at all and that comes with the territory I guess with ceramics. Thanks for your info dude!
5:28...The "shank", is it just me, or does that look like a plastic palette knife? Yup, found in common art supply stores. Like a dollar each. In fact, if you scour the art supply section of the dollar store, you might get lucky and find a set of different bladed ones, 5 in a packet for $3 bucks. Hmmm, while you're at it, the hardware/tool section may have plastic paint scrapers, 10" wallpaper applicators, ice scrapers(in season of course)and all the drop cloths, vinyl sheets and masking tape to cover areas you don't want to get soaked. How about hemp rope wrapped with microfiber cloths, to jam in windshields and back windows? Then again, squeegees of assorted sizes available too.
If you really want to save some money, start with a 1ply film. you will learn plenty from it,its just a little thin in comparison to what I use. if you don't mind a spending a little extra to get something the same thickness and a lot more comparable to what I use then check out the 2 ply black. it also will last longer if you decide to leave it on your car. I added links to the specific films and we are adding them to me recommendations page soon bit.ly/2WvWa4K 1 ply charcoal tintdepot.com/product/eco-charcoal-5-20-35-40-50/ 2 ply black tintdepot.com/product/2ply-black-5-20-35-50-70/
I gotta pick one up but wasn't sure which one. I have one in mind now with fusions new release but could also go with a traditional looking one. What one are you using? does it have a cool down feature?
TintStuff I’ll have to test both out, I know the conquistadors are advertised to last longer because of how it’s molded. I guess it’s just a he said she said situation for both companies
that's gonna be a challenging video to figure out. so many things I can say but hard to figure out how to say them. It's needed tho, thanks for watching this one!

Hey Matt Can you make a video about window tint sales tips and mobile window tinting tips? It would help me majorly
Side swiped and tri edge are essential, fusion handles are the best for sure

Brian Hansen use a hair dryer instead. 😊
To shrink the tint so its not flat on curved glass

Bro, let’s start an apron co. It kills me they’re so hard to find
Any big differences between the black conquerers and yellow conquistadors?
not much, just made by different companies. If anything the Blue and Yellow conquerer blades seem to outlast the black Conquistador blade
