  • #2 engine rev range reacts to turns of the screw
    IN = leaner= rev invreases, OUT = richer = rev decreases
    Clockwise=LEANER / Counter-clockwise=RICHER
    the idle.jet is THE! engine killer when it comes to si carburettors. trick1 to identify the correct idle.jet = engine dies if u twist the mixture screw.in. correct idle.jet DOESNT MEAN the mixture screw / idle je is yetbset right, but that u are near to the right setring. if there is no response from.the engine (rev range) change it to the ricjer one, but u takr.big steps pls so from 2,9 to 2,7 to 2 4 and not from 2,9 to 2,8 that doesnt make sense u can set that with the mixture screw.
    faq's: how many turns can i go out? 1) as lng as the engine replies 2) abd the scre doesnt pop out ;) how much turns out to start setting it? 2-3 is good / is there a normal setting for tunes.engines (ie 1,5 turns as recommended everywhere)? nope there isnnot, it totally depends on the engine setup.
    IMPORTANT: basis is a healthy engine, this means: rotary valve is ok (0,05mm) no false air (carb, cyl.foot, cyl head, seals) and no oilsucker. only one of these problems and u CANT SET ur cab right.
    take care where the mixture screw is if its not a si or dellorto carb (mikuni ie) - it sits:
    1) at the engine side = regulates the fuel amount: in = leaner (u allow more fuel to flow)
    2) the air side = regulates the air amount: OUT = LEANER! (u allow more air to flow) --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    So... If you turn the mixture screw in, the RPM's should go up because it will be running lean. If you keep turning the mixture screw in, the bike should die because it will be too lean to run. Correct? This is a great tip for dialing in that slow-running jet. Thanks!

      yes it is BUT only if u are using the correct idle jet / so if the carb doesnt react like that = its the wrong idle jet
      take care where the mixture screw - if its not a si or dellorto carb (mikuni ie) - sits: engine side = fuel amount = in = Leaner, air side = air amount = OUT = LEANER!

    was ist wenn die LLGS bis an Anschlag eindrehe da steigen die Drehzahlen aber der Motor stirbt nicht ab. Ich hab eine 52/150 NB... Langhubwelle und Polini177 + SI24.. Fetter oder Mager ?

      das ist ok. wichtig ist dass der motor reagiert und eben speziell auf aenderungen richtung FETT

    Ist die ideale Einstellung bei der höchsten Drehzahl, oder kann man das nicht so verallgemeinern?

    • @FreakMoPed8
      @FreakMoPed8  2 года назад +1

      nein das ist zu mager. du musst fetter dtehen. das siehst wenn du mit der im stehen eingestellten schraube fahrst. die effekte zeigen dann zu mager.

    When you close the mixture screw, but the engine is not die, what the diagnose? The Idle jet is to small or to big?

    • @FreakMoPed8
      @FreakMoPed8  Год назад +1

      engine has to react. its ok when it doesnt die

    So to clarify...
    Clockwise=LEANER
    Counter-clockwise=RICHER
    Thanks you.
