  • the BEST vespa TIP EVER! trust me, watch it. you are affected or one of your friends.
widely UNKNOWN simple reasons why si carb engines - do NOT like warm starts / - do like to drown / - do like to get flooded.
in my opiniom, its one of the biggest #FAIL of piaggio ever. sloppy engineering. bungling. missing technical common sense. just no technical thinking at all. really really bad.

Thanks - I would never have worked that cover touch thing out -so you inspired me to get off my arse and re-tackle that little donkey in the garage I often hate but love so much. BUT. Neither was it that nor the pin which I changed in my last attempt. As I glanced at the float through in the slanting afternoon light I noticed it had liquid in it..... So it's it must've lost its buoyancy and so too logically it has lost its full ability to push the pin up hard enough to cut the petrol off?.... Hilariously true to form with this Italian wonder, the petrol that's gotten into the float is not leaking backing out again from any perceivable hole. So I can either drill a 1.5mm hole (in the top) to drain it and then -plug it with epoxy rather than be ripped off by the Cape Town parts mafia which will probably either not have it, or charge me $100 for one.
As a postscript, I would add that if you are a habitual petrol tap turner 'off - er' ( as we Vespasians are supposed to be?) and your rubber seal on your tap is working perfectly - you may never discover any of these 3 causes until that tap no longer works properly ...oh and until the petrol that seeps into the float reaches the optimum level for the float to no longer....float

I have one important question and I ask for an answer: is it good to mount a gasoline filter on the hose that connects the tank and the carburetor?

Hello! I widened the opening on the underside of the carburetor 20/20 and the filter box. Is it effective?
