*Update* Retro Shooter finally broker their silence and basically confirmed a cease and desist was sent to 3A to stop including their games on the consoles so 3A and their affiliates including Retro Shooter can no longer include games to avoid a lawsuit.
Well that doesn’t explain why 3A official pulled nearly all of their stuff, including bare bones official twin stick boxes from their store! I think they’re leaving emulation behind altogether.
The whole plug and play part is really what it's all about. Glad I got mine when I did.
Just get the guns, 4 sensors and the PC hub for better gameplay. There are mods for light guns games

This actually happened a couple of years ago. I bought a box from Ali, and it said it doesn’t have the SD card shipping. They did supply some info as to where I could get the software, but due to the hassle, I’ve never bothered setting this up.
Yes some Ali sellers do not include games but many many do.

I think you’ve cracked the case. It has to be because of this. Companies have been cracking down on this stuff a lot, as of late. I love Buy Stuff Arcades and respect the hell out of them, but I worry about what they’re doing too.

In Australia Jaycar is a big electronics chain of stores . They sell Pandora's boxes in store. They don't hide the fact.We get catalogues in the mail box with Pandora's. So you tell me.

@@PDubsArcadeLoftThey want a piece of the Pie? Not happening. Because most who go the Pandora Box route aren't going to be on Xbox live or whatever, buying SNK games and such. If the Official Pandora Box goes away, those buyers will just go another route, raspberry pi and such. Also let's be real here: They can sue 3A games all they want but, Pandora Box clones will ALWAYS be out there. All this does is open things up for the numerous, no-name, clone makers out there in china and such, to step up further. There's even clone lightgun Pandoras out there. This changes nothing in the end.
@@PDubsArcadeLoft They're not getting a peice of the pie no matter what. The type of gamers that go for a Pandora Box type system, aren't the type to be buying SNK games on XBOX Live or whatever. Take away the Pandora box and they'll just go elsewhere, like the Raspberry Pi stuff. Besides, even if the Official Pandora Box line goes away, clone Pandora Boxes will ALWAYS be out there. This changes nothing, it merely opens things for the no-name, Chinese clone makers, to step it up and fill the absence in the market.
@@Gametester110-qf8vsyeah but the darker the market these things go to the crappier the quality. With the PB10th they were actually just starting to listen to consumers and provide some quality.

This is exactly why I jumped on the original retro shooter, a Pandora’s box tenth, despite having multiple iterations of them and I bought a couple of arcade one ups and modified them with various buy stuff things. I always felt this stuff was too good to be true and at some point these bigger players are going to get a cease and desist letter. I hope it doesn’t happen to buy stuff because I’ve been patiently waiting their PC bill for my fast and furious cabinet. I wouldn’t be surprised.
Guess retro shooter prices r going to go through the roof on eBay.
pretty dumb if you buy one over priced when you can get Gun4IR or Sinden guns and just download a game pack from 1000 different places online.

Why I never did the Retro Shooter mod to T2. We still have the Team Encoder soft mod granted only a handful of shooting games.

Hello, I've recently got my RetroShooter Pandora box. Unfortunately, the included SD card is almost empty. Where do I get the approx. 100 light gun games which are still listetd on the retro shooter website? Many thanks for your help! Hope to get a reply from you soon.
I bought the new Pandora's Box when it released, but not the Retro Shooter. The appeal of the Pandora's Boxes is of course they're basically plug and play. But given that all the games are pirated I suspect they're screwed, although I suppose that depends on the Chinese legal system.

Preservation is always under attack .. I mean you get why companies sue my thing though is at least provide a way for people to purchase and own copies of your ips
My only surprise is it's taken so long for the game owners to start suing these box companies.
Great opportunity for someone to start selling fully loaded cards that work with retro shooter with even more games then before Retro shooter could do it as a third party. I'll keep an eye out for that.

Nintendo and sega have been going after various rom and emulation websites recently as well . The companies that are actively purchasing licenses may even be reporting the guys that aren’t . Have to do it oversees somewhere

They messed up when they advertised Tecmo Super Bowl. That is taking it too far. Glad they got sued. They ruined Pandora now. Goofy retro shooter. He ruined the Pandora jungle.

It was only a matter of time before the lawsuits over these boxes were going to happen.
Most retro gamers like myself are in there 40s or 50s and to occupied with life to mess around collecting working roms. That's why I prefer the plug and play options.
so i have the retro shooter console with a bsa custom pedestal/sticks and buttons but I rarely use the console and play with the hub/guns. I mainly use the mx24 with the kriscoolmod drive and switch back and forth between rs and gun4ir. The plug and play aspect is nice but there are plenty of hard drives available for retro shhh pew pew

Mid June I finally decided to pull the trigger (pun slightly intended) and order the retro shooter kit. After a week or so of not hearing on shipping I reached out to them and was told about the warehouse fire. Luckily, like you said, no one was hurt according to the email they sent me. This was on June 25th. Now, I'm waiting patiently for them to be able to start shipping again. But after seeing this, I have to wonder what I'll actually get. Will they honor the fact that I ordered it BEFORE this and send me the fully-loaded console or will I get just the hardware and no games. I've done enough emulation systems to know how to set these up, but it's not really the point. I bought it not just for the guns but for the games included (specifically the ones that take advantage of the light guns). If it wasn't going to include those games I might not have bothered. So now, I don't know what to expect. I feel bad for them but at the same time I'm not happy with this development. I'll let you know what happens if/when I finally get mine. I highly doubt when they ship your order it will include the SD card of games etc

Bought it just like you. Recieved mine today. Set it up all excited to play only to find a SD card with no games on it. This is annoying me because I bought it mainly for all those games
I mean it was bound to happen. I think these Pandora and similar companies are flying wayyy to close to the sun. It's one thing to have this stuff available on the down low, it's a totally different thing to shove it in these developer's faces.
I can't believe you didn't show the full image I made! I am no longer affiliated with Team Pandory, they got kinda annoyed that I called out people being scammed by someone and were fine to turn a blind eye to it all when they started to bad mouth people who wouldn't send them free stuff.
I think they were kinda pissed that 3a were speaking to me and not them (after they took a dump on the EX as they couldn't get Pandory Tool working on it) as well and that I signed an agreement with them so I could get discount codes and stuff as well as being sent test boards.

Nothing like a good warehouse fire to get rid of unsold inventory at full price, that you can't sell now due to a lawsuit. Or better yet, you overstate the inventory destroyed, sold it and got paid and get paid again by your insurance company.

I missed the boat on the RS. Im not a do my own rom guy. Oh well its too bad. I have a T2 cab with a bad PCB i just got off of marketplace a week ago. Was literally getting ready to order the RS kit snd BS upgraded 19" screen. This sucks. 😢

I'd honestly PREFER a Pandora's Box that has no ROMs in it and I put them on myself. My Pandora 4S, I only got because I traded my Sailor Moon PCB for a Vewlix and the 4S was able to emulate it like 99% perfectly. If I got other Pandoras, I'd only want them to have at most like 50 games just for the sake of running mystery game tournaments.
Assuming they still sell for dirt cheap (I think I paid $60 for my 4S) I'd have zero issues loading my own games. If fact I might pay more for that function.

The real question, imho, is "did they threaten to sue them in the US or China?". My instincts tell me this is a problem for 3A in the US and that you will still be able to buy Pandora's boxes from China via Aliexpress. Are they breaking any laws in China? Not my problem now as I have a loaded Pandora's box 10th and the guns already. But I was hoping to get a new, loaded box a few years from now.

Damn I just got to the point where I would have enough money for a retro shooter next month.... Sigh I am not PC savvy anymore the tech has changed a lot since the 90's I am too out of touch these days and don't own a PC or know what to do with a PC.

@@PDubsArcadeLoft And what would I do with the SD card? Like I said haven't used a PC since the 90's used. To be up on them till the late 90's but got sick of all the hassle of a PC and ditched them for consoles ease of use.
I am primarily after light guns and am totally confused by the whole situation in the modern day VR just isn't as good but is passable but not as fun.

Honestly, the Pandora's Box solution has always been crap. Going to a hardware-only, PC-based model will be the best thing moving forward. PCs can run this stuff much better, and there are plenty of pre-built options already on the market.

Bro I’m still waiting for my order i ordered last month I just want the guns at this point because my order is taking way too long idc about the system I was planing on putting the pc mod on it anyways because it can’t run time crisis (arcade) or time crisis 2
for me this will make them better because of the cloned games and bad naming of the roms. I can't believe they caved in because the gaming market is a huge con where any use does not own the the title they buy! snk have changed too much from their old days. I still love the aes and collect for it but now i don't feel the passion
If the box comes with no games than it’s just better to buy a Sinden and download a pre build. Guess it’s over for pandora. It’s going back in the coffin box.

Another rom seller bites the dust.. what's new? This has been going on for 25 years lol. But it's for their service, not the roms themselves. That's never held up, ever. Nothing new here, we all know how this story ends. Nintendo sues everyone. SNK going after those making money off their stuff. Drive sellers are next.
