These cameras are made for someone who just want to start using DSLR from smartphone, they dont want to spend much... its that one DSLR that you use but dont care much.
I took Nikon p900 for a start. Changing and carrying massive lenses is ... stupid. I dont think i will ever go for a an dslr because if i do, than i will need to bring big amount of money. With p900, i actually have everything i need. The only problem with p900 is tripod lol...

They forgot to mention that 4000d has PLASTIC bajonet. It will be costy to replace after it get broken. They rather do not mention it. I see those happy faces at service centers.
Why would Canon come up with such ridiculous models? The naming is now so messed up it makes no sense whatsoever. Even if you buy these models as your first DSLR, you will later have to move to other manufacturers as Canon is deliberately pushing themselves out of mainstream enthusiast /semi-pro market offering 0 value on the table on higher end cameras, when compared to competition.

I started on a 1300d. It’s perfect for learning your photography. Some of my best shots were from that camera.
Who cares?! - buy a used T4i or T5i for less money than either of these cameras plus you'll get more features.
The 4000 is a cut down of the 2000 a replacement for the 1300 but in lower than 750 not as good as 700 worse than 200. Blar blar blar
