Where is the drag race! :) I've driven the GT3RS quite a bit, awesome car, really looking forward to the new AMG GT black series...
This was great @888MF nice to change things up rather than seeing two cars drag each other. Also love the fact you make the owners drive and compare the laps, nice touch

Let me get this straight: the GT3 RS had 90% of the rear tire tread worn and the GTR has a ~200 hp increase mod?! Not really a fair comparison, I’d say!

Really fair comparison, a 700hp tuned gtr vs a stock 3rs.
Lets put it against a gt 2rs, it has less power still, but im sure it beats the shit out of it…
It would be interesting to see a stock vs stock comparison w an amg gtr(pro) and a 991.2 3RS

We didn't know the AMG GTR was tuned until it arrived at the track.
What this shows is that with a set of tyres the Porsche would set a faster time than a merc with 200 hp more

You've got a 6yr old beat down stock Porsche on Banana peels for tires, against a suped up and tuned +143hp 2yr old Mercedes.
That's not exactly stock to stock, Apples to Apples.
There should be a car show based on this test. Published “slope” rating for various cars. I’ve always thought slope ratings would be interesting and useful for sports cars.
This comparison makes no sense, one car is tuned and the other has no tires plus it’s an older car
Unfortunately we didn't know the GT3 RS had bald tyres until the time of filming. Regardless, the test is to try and get as close to the racing car drivers time, not the other car.
2.5 secondd us crazy. Even if the GTR was stock it would be at least.5 seconds faster. Even with new tires on gt3rs it would still ve slower
The gtr is very good value now , I like the dig at the Porsche owner on bald tyres and no fuel , made the car pointless to time
Unfortunately we didn't know the tyres were nearly bald until he arrived.

I think it's should done with the new 2019 gt3 rs which is faster and has more technical upgrades then the old gt3 rs olso it going up against like 2019 mercedes so it's not good comparison but still the old gt3 didn't beaten by a lot
the GT3 also had fubared tyres, i think with good tyres it would have beaten the Merc.

The owner of this 991 GT3 RS turned up with close to bald tyres, which made it slower around the track. The AMG GTR is a 2016 car so we put two cars from the same era against each other.

Merc after market tuned to 720hp, add another to 170bhp to the gt3 completely different story. Stock v stock only real comparison.

Because the Merc was a tuner with over 140hp over stock, and the GT3 had worn out tires. Bullshit comparo.

991 Gt3 is 493bhp the Gt3 RS is 520bhp
That's the facelifted one, the 991.2 GT3 (500hp/493bhp) & GT3 RS (520hp/513bhp). This is the pre-facelifted one 991.1 GT3 RS (500hp/493bhp).

Everything was good except for one thing, at 07:18 it would have been perfect if the displayed results were switched so that the GT3RS results were on top of the GT3RS in the picture and the AMG GTR results were on top of the AMG GTR.

Take out the owners times and shit nobody cares about that all we care about is which car is faster with a proper race driver. That's it. The rest of this video was all mumbo jumbo
This was an unfair comparison, the AMG was tuned. I would have finished watching if it had been stock. 👎
Doesn't matter about the car its pro 'v' amateur and that's what it's about not car 'v' car
The competition wasn't car vs car, it compared drivers in the same car so the power didn't matter.
