- Join me and my friend Geoff as we embark on an exciting freediving adventure in the beautiful waters of Wellington! 🌊
In this video, we start our day at our first diving spot, but luck isn't on our side as we struggle to find much. Determined to make the most of our day, we head to a second location where our fortunes change-we hit the jackpot and gather a good haul of mussels! 🦪
The adventure doesn't stop there! We move on to another spot where Goeff hops back into the water and manages to spear a couple of kahawai. Not wanting to miss out on the action, I borrow a rod from some friendly locals and catch a fish myself. 🎣
With our catch of the day in hand, we head back to Geoff's house and cook up an incredible feast to share with his family. Watch as we prepare and enjoy this amazing meal together. 🍽️

Me and my mate catch so many Kahawai there, one time we saw a school of the biggest kingfish I’ve ever seen chasing the Kahawai upstream

You need to remember that the mighty kahawai have soft mouths so if you apply too much pressure to the fish you just tear out the hook
Also if you swap the trebs for single hooks you'll have way better success Chur the bro
