Briliant, Excellant Just GEAT, Milton, just Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is what todays Lankans NEED!
Dear Vidhura,
Sorry for commenting so late... I never saw this movie but used to listen to this song on radio. Milton P has entertained us for years with his great playback songs in his own style and pace ! Oswald Jayasinghe was the Vijay of the 60s and the hero in most of KAW's movies. For some reason he never took to 'character' roles whereas his counterparts of the 70/80s Ravindra and Vijay made themselves evergreen by doing both commercial and art movies.
Thanks

I am watching this 10 years too late, in 2020, and cannot help relating it to the present political set up in the country. Milton is singing brilliantly about being born equal but divided by caste and creed. It is very true in this country, fellow humans fighting each other unable to accept the equality of all humans. The icing on the cake is the opening scene with buffaloes ploughing the field while the farmer drives the tractor. Is it not ironic that our political bosses are in the driving seat, while the human buffaloes are quite content to wallow in the mud and sing hosannas to their demi gods ? 😁
@palithabatu
Dear Palitha,
Thanks for the wealth of info.
I always like Milton's philosophical style songs sung with great emotion.
Not heard his version of 'adu kale'.

Vidhura
