Had the honor of meeting her, played at the same festival right after The Headpins, sat snd talked to her afterwards(both our bands) She is nothing short of a class act. I love hearing and seeing things about her!!! My top female vocalist!!!
i AM SO HAPPY TO HEAR DARBY MEANTIIONING HER ABSCENCE FROM THE EAST COAST. HEY JUST SO YOU KNOW YOU HAVE A FAN BASE HERE. THANK FOR REMEBERING US AND COME BACK AS FAST AS YOU HUMANLY CAN. HOPE TO SEE YA SOON.
Packed up the gremlin!! I knew I loved you for a reason Darby! My best friend had a green gremlin and we drove the piss out of it!! What a great interview!
@@mapleridgemike maybe not, but she still did an awesome job of keeping us rockin at the bush parties and house parties I went to as a kid. My biggest disappointment as a kid was having to leave a Toronto/Headpins concert bc my friend was puking. 🤨
saw her a few times in Niagara area..one of the greatest live voices ever..and yes "Too Loud Mcloud" was so underrated nobody sounded like him and his writing was so good best riff's ever
I just came upon this video 04/17/21 . I've always enjoyed so very much the band , Head Pins , but more so , Darby Mills . When you talked of your mom , dad and your husband , I could hear in your voice the love the compassion ❤ you showed to your family 💗 God bless your family , Darby , we all love you and those who have blazed the path of life before us 😇❤
Such a soft spoken voice, for a lady that had a 2 mile high voice back then. Ironically, she left out the only guitar player with the talent to match her voice. None the less, the Headpins was one of the most under rated Canadian bands in history. Right up there with Triumph and others.
Not a word on Brian too loud mcloud.. disappointing.. God bless Darby and her family . I wish there was more recognition for Brian. Arguably the most under rated guitar player in Canadian rock history.. in one word his playing was tasty.
How come no mention of Brian McLeod the guitar player and Founder of the Headpins.É. He asked Darby to join the band and all those wondrous shows opening for Whitesnake and others happened because of him.. it would have been nice to hear Darby acknowledge him because NONE of her career would have happened if not for him. As a Headpins fan I`m highly disappointed in this interview. Rip Brian McLeod.

Probably the best female power rock voice ever.

Such a great humble singer. 🇨🇦 Darby ROCKS!! ❤
I love those early Headpins albums!
She had a powerful voice. Still does.

Such a nice lady :) I hope Canada will give her more praise for her work as one of Canada's iconic rock singers as well as Lee Aaron
Lee Aaron can't hold a finger to Darby, not even close!

@@eeltenaj19 That would have been awesome to see !! The concert, not the puking….!
@@mapleridgemike yeah. I agree. We got I think, 3songs in with Toronto.

Gotta respect for her. Feet firmly planted on the ground and in reality.
Always a fan.
Great voice
Will be seeing her at the F**K Cancer concert at Hard Rock Coquitlam, October 1, 2022
Good for you Darby. Stay classy.

SCOTT M Anyone who matters misses Brian McLeod...no one will ever forget the man and his ego and his monstrous talent(s).
R.I.P Brian Great sound| You left us way too young.
Yes, Brian 'too loud' Mcleod is missed. And one of the greatest guitarists in the world ever. But this interview was about DARBY!
Absolutely he was amazing guitar player!!!🎸🎸
Oh he wasn’t under rated in the day. Commonly referred to as the best as I remember.
I'm proud to say this woman was one of tae kwon do instructors (ten years back) she gave me shit a few times.
Where did you practise ? Toronto ? I trained tae kwon do myself and I swear I saw her at tournanents back in the day ?

female version of Bon .. .
I think more a female version of Sammy Hagar
I love Darcy Miles! She makes Maria Carey sound like a weasel!
Christine Bent-ley knows nothing about music history. She was fired from bell media.
A million times better than rush you go girl
