Wow, never thought i would see a video covering this tank and with such depth, I always assumed there was little to no info on it, But then you came along!
0:19 Wait, so you're telling me that that ugly thing was an actual real tank design? I've always thought that was a design that Wargaming made up. And I didn't know that the emergency track thing was real.
I know so many videos call the M47 a stopgap, but it is still one of my favorite tanks. The Yoh tanks are in World of Tanks, but I do not play them much. I have, whatever the tier VII and VIII are, but they just do not stand out much to me.
wait... does gunner actually need to push ammo in the barrel? also how do you keep the hole from hull to turret big enough when turret moves up and down? is it so big hole?
With the advent of remote control automated drones, perhaps designs like this may see a Renaissance. With no crew to house, that frees up internal space for more fuel and ammo. Assuming an efficient autoloading system is developed.
Could make a video about the T-22 Grotte Tank, it is also known as TG-1. I think he's a tank with an interesting look and it would be cool to see his story.
I swear they must’ve based the halo scorpion of this design, this design was pretty out there, i wonder however what would happen if it took a hit at the joint of the turret
The crew poaitions look sooo fricking cramped, the crew members are already sitting with their butt on the floor and still seem to be hitting their head on the hull roof. This thing would be a nightmare to drive offroad.
Look I've heard of thinking outside the box but this is we don't need no stinking box. I think it would of been a somewhat uncomfortable tank to operate. as the ergonomics which are truth be told are rarely stunning in a tank looked terrible. but as a thought experiment it is impressive as tanks have always been very incremental.
TY- never knew about these ones, but very unlikely to be procured for reasons not mentioned: too strange for most men , like the Jack Northrup flying wings. Cool fantasy for boys in wot, but never fly in reality.
So we are talking about a fantasy tank, that sucks in almost all aspects, that is part of a "fantasy" tank game and has never had any real world impact.......ok

"Civilian Tank Designer" is a term I never expected to hear.
Maybe they wanted innovative ideas from the civilians since they may have put of the box ideas than the military.
Don't Civilians design most Weapons that are then adopted by the Military to be built by the Company that offers the lowest price?

Human tank designer...
Everyone has to categorize themselves, belonging to certain groups to make themselves look complex & important, "oh I'm a_____"
Civillians are behind the majority of weapons design and manufacture.
These are fascinating!!!! My son loves oscillating turret designs, so he'll love these vehicle concepts. Thanks for this intriguing upload.

The turret could nowadays be completely crewless.

We'll happily call out Wargaming on their fakes. This one, however, is very much real.
I thought I have seen some weird tanks but holy…
With all the new tech since then, some of those designs would be more viable now, especially powerplants.
I can only hope that Gaijin finally picks up the Yoh

very interesting looking tanks
from the 1930s through the 1950s us Americans loved machine guns on our tanks to the point of absurdity.
I dunno, Ave u seen the British TD line in wotpc, wotblitz or wotconsole ?? But granted the two 50cals on the back of the Chrysler K

The US have so much Brownings at that period that it just basically offloading surpluses

YOH!!!!!!! That's crazy!
If they added a bustle door to the external auto loader would it not be helpful for crew safety similar to the Abrams? Thanks for more great work!

I've long thought that a crewless oscilating turret would be a great tank :b
Isn't there a different turret model in game that's at least a little more accurate with the illustrations?
The one with the shorter turret length?
Closest thing I've seen to Machinen Krieger in a tank.
