Got my brand new van delivered a week ago, took it to the team at water works in Corby, amazing job fitted me a 700 litre tank and two power up hd reels! Totally in love with them! Could not go back to a manual real
Iv just fitted my van out with 2 electric reels from pure freedom and have the speed set at max 99 and there plenty fast enough.... Been using them a couple of weeks and love em 👍🏻
Nice video Ashley!, I couldn't live without my electric hose reel now, it's defo the best bit of kit out there in my opinion, it is pricy but soo worth it!
Have 2 electric hoses, both from two different company’s one is water works, water works is good, but not sure on longevity , it does look and feel cheap compared to my every day electric reel. One main thing I would invest in, pure hot water, makes life so much easier cleaner windows and have to say does leave a better clean!! Thanks again Ash 👍🏻
Great video Ashley. I had RSI problems with my left shoulder from manual reeling after 15 odd years of WFP and that has now gone. The only problem I have is that I run 8 mm hose and also tubeless for my poles and when you reel this in it sometimes maxes out the reel space available and catches on the plates. However the pluses of an electric reel far out way that occasional niggle. Take care bud
Will definitely agree with you makes my life a lot easier but do agree with the fact it feels a bit slow and not as powerful as the old ones with I have in my other van 👍
I love my powerup reel. I don't pay any attention to the speed comments.. after all someone's reel could reel in at 40 seconds but I could be 5 minutes faster cleaning windows on a 3 bed semi.. it's a pointless comparison.. it certainly saves muscle fatigue. Big 👍 up
@@aemackintosh also do you really want to wind up that fast? It’s ok when the hose is laid out in straight lengths, but if it’s not and you get it hooked on something or you get a twist or hoop in the hose now that could course some serious damage to the van or the reel.
I just bought the Hd version and i dont know how to attach the emergency crank handle. When I slide it on the barrel the crank arm just spinns and doesn't rotate the reel. Ant ideas?
Nice equipment it’s just the thought of having the doors left open And you have to make sure you can find parking spaces where there’s enough room to have doors open as well if that makes sense My system is connected underneath so I can have the doors closed too many vultures around
Do you not worry about having your van open all the time? Saw a wfp cleaner plug a manual reel into a water port on the bottom of his bumper and thought that was good to secure the van, suppose then it’s a pain lugging it in and out the van all the time. I’d like to take my dog on a round and he can sit in the van but wouldn’t have him in there with van unlocked.
Hi, I've just bought one of these, but you mentioned in your video about a 6mm hose...why would you recommend this over an 8mm please? I'm just starting out so buying all new equipment
Hello mate, you say you’ve now fitted an inline fuse to the red (positive) cable but you’ve wired the black cable to the positive terminal on battery so shouldn’t the fuse be on the cable that is connected to the positive terminal? (Black cable) Only asking as I’ve ordered a reel and fitting it same as you as I want the crank on the right
You mention about reeling in but how do you find the PowerUp3D when pulling out to properties? I've had mine a few months now and it feels like I'm pulling the whole van with me!
Making the switch to power reels soon &cannot wait, anything that makes our job easier or faster is money well spent IMO, going for the pure freedom reels as from my research they seem to be more reliable & more robust, going for the 650 smart tank same as you, any advice? Pros/cons would be greatly received.
Yeah, I was going to swap the signage round, but actually I quite like it the way it is. There is a nice little gap for me to tuck a pair of gloves.😆👍🏼
I will usually ask the customer. If there is a compost heap or garden waste bin, they are the best options, but sometimes a flower bed or under a bush.😃👍🏼
Hiya Mate, have you got any videos on solar panel cleaning on a roof? If no any advice for panel that are really dirty with some small hard moss patches it's pouring with rain tomorrow so may give the customer a buzz. what do think?
If it’s already wet, that will be your best chance. The tricky thing is trying to find something abrasive enough but without damaging the panel. A upvc cleaner might do it, and maybe a white pad like the alpha scrubber I tried recently from DA components.😃👍🏼
@@aemackintosh cheers for the reply. Trouble is I only have my Gardiner Pole and probably use my flocked head, but it's getting enough purchase on them will be the problem as mostly I be cleaning from the ground , have u a video to watch?
You might want to top up your battery with a mains charger, especially if you are doing local work, you might not do enough mileage or your vehicle to charge it enough.👍🏼
Yeah, I’ve had a few people getting in touch telling me the problems they have had. They seemed to have ironed out the teething issues now as my model hasn’t missed a beat.😃👍🏼
I sat like to find out how I can get some of the black cherry rubber we don't have any more in the United States is there a phone number that I could call in England I believe that's where you're at or where you're at I could call and help me to get some of this rubber I think they come in 14 and 18 I don't know if they come any bigger but sure would appreciate it give me give me the information back pleasure and somebody up a phone number I could call and find out what I could do to get some of this stuff the Black series rubber I sure would appreciate it thank you

ive got the previous version and its brilliant
It's all about making life as easy & convenient as possible Ashley. Thank you for the upload 👍☘️
Yes indeed. Thanks.😃👍🏼

Thanks. That’s true. The tiny difference in speed isn’t going to make that much difference in reality.😃👍🏼

Hi Ashley, can you run the reel and your pump off one battery for a full day?
Guessing you should charge the battery every night?
Thanks, great vid.
Yeah, the battery is charged by the van. But I have a charger that I use from the mains to give it an extra boost every so often.😃👍🏼

I can actually shut the doors on the 6mm hose and lock it if I want. As long as I pull enough hose out first.😃👍🏼
yeah me too

Yeah I have ports just under the bumper so I have the option to plug in an external reel if I want.😉👍🏼

Yeah, there is slight resistance there. I’m not sure about he whole van, but it’s doesn’t reel out quite as easily as my old manual reel did.
Great video btw 😁

The smartank has been great! So convenient, I love it. Just don’t park on a slope the wrong way when it’s nearly empty.😆👍🏼
@@aemackintosh tbh I have the exact same problem with my current upright tank. Thanks for the reply.
You just have to remember to turn round and park the other way for certain jobs.😃👍🏼
Just got mine. Did you know you can unbolt Power up signage and put it on other side. Noticed you have yours other way because of inlet.

Hi mate
What pump do you use ,must be powerful to pump through all that yellow hose?
It’s a pretty standard diaphragm pump, 5litres per minute.😃👍🏼

My big skyvac Industrial goes in the side door. I have to lay it down, but there is plenty of room for it.😃👍🏼
Just about to get my van kitted out and going to have 2x of these installed, anyone had any problems with power consumption off 1 battery?

hi where do you get the small tubs of hypo in your other vid thanks tim
I just bout it in 5litre quantities rather than the bigger drums.😃👍🏼

Nice review mate as always. What make is the hose your using it looks good stuff 👍
It was supplied with the reel from WCW.😃👍🏼
Thanks mate 👍
Nice video, you based in Luton?
No, I mostly work in the Northampton area. Well spotted though! This is a sheltered accommodation block we do in Luton.😃👍🏼
Whats the rubber youve got on the floor?
Rubber matting I bought on eBay, cut to size.😃👍🏼
Where do you get them storage units at the top of the van Ashley?
They came out of the ex British Gas van that I had before this one. They are really handy.😃👍🏼
Cool 👍

Any ideas how to clean rendering
Softwash.😃👍🏼

Window cleaning warehouse in the uk.😃👍🏼
