While Beyonce and Jay-Z were attending the Warriors/Raptors game, the wife of one of the owners got a little too close to Beyonce. But after being provided the context that she literally does this all the time and she was just trying to make them comfortable and feel at home, I feel bad. I do still stand by my belief that if you’re addressing someone’s husband or wife, you should make eye contact with their spouse as well. Spouses are territorial over each other. That woman also needs to be better at recognizing body language and reading social cues. It’s clear Beyoncé was trying to give her a hint to give them their space and she just wasn’t taking the hint. I easily recognize uncomfortable body language even when it’s in my peripheral vision and I’m only 30. By that age, women and men should have enough experience to notice obvious body language.
