I kept loooooking…..that’s not Quartz. Second was smoothly sweeping away at 4hrtz…….lol! And Seiko does make a decent tri-compax in their criminally under used VK-67. Has a 12 hour totalizer, a 60 minute totalizer (I am an old, retired pilot.) I know what those little sub-dial thingys are for. I much prefer the 30 minute sub-dial over the 60 minute totalizer. Much reduced legibility in a small Cessna in moderate turbulence……harder to read and therefore a 30 totalizer is best . Best for reading travel time from one: way points (IFR) & visual landmarks (VFR) I get the mistake. I’m a musician for the last million years. I make plenty o’ mistakes 😂😜😆
Great List! My favorite is the Zenith with its amazing dial and time-tested movement. The second choice is the Seiko with a lovely dial and movement. Thank you for a lovely video!
Great presentation. I think the Zenith is a better watch and better value than a Daytona for someone who will wear and use the watch. For me, it is much more readable than a Daytona. The Chopard is also gorgeous and readable as well.
I'm glad you liked it! We expanded our video style on this one and we're hoping the audience reacts positively. Appreciate the support as always! 👊 - Jason
I’m surprised there isn’t a Tag in there given the nod to motorsports. The glass box would have been a good addition or the Monaco. Thanks for the details on Chopard, I have always loved it but picked up some nuggets of information here.
The glass box is a spectacular timepiece... and I agree with your assessment. I have it planned for another video and that's the reason it didn't make this list. I had enough alternatives already, so it was moved out to be included for the other video idea that I have. We're glad you enjoyed the video and always appreciate the support! - Jason
I'm not comfortable buying a serious watch from Ali Express, but I'm sure some of the viewers would like to check this out. I have thought about buying the parts and pieces from AE and building a watch though. I think that could be a fun video - Jason
Maybe it's because I've had a couple bad experiences buying off Ali Express... but the idea makes me hesitant. If we make a video on building a watch, then I might buy one just to see. Maybe do a video on it and then offer it as a Giveaway for our Patreon subs. Appreciate you adding to our comments section! 👊 - Jason
Lot's of research and a time crunch to record... I got my wires crossed on this one. It happens, unfortunately. I apologize for getting it wrong - Jason
Yeah I know. Unfortunately we were all rushing to get this video out, and I got some stuff wrong. The video in whole is stands, but I missed on the Baltic. I'm not perfect obviously, but I strive to do better going forward. - Jason
The Baltic Tricompax houses a Sellita SW510 manual movement.
Yeah, it was a mistake on my part - Jason

Yes!... That Zenith is just superb 🤌 - Jason
Missed TAG’s glass box
I love that piece, but I left it off intentionally, because I think I'm going to have it on another list that I'm working on - Jason
I have the blue GB with the date at the 6:00 & just finally got the bracelet. It is my best tri-compax.
I have FC highlife chrono and I really love it. ❤ It has unique and stunning dial with an excellent movement. I really recommended 😊
🙌… love this piece! It’s an amazing chrono for the price - Jason

Love the Zennith, even Rolex used their legendary movements back in the day 🏆
The Zennith is a sick watch. I'm actually trying to source a neo vintage Zennith movement Daytona. It's my very favorite Daytona - Jason

That's a nice piece. I happen to like the 90's versions w/ white dial. But that black still hits! - Jason
@@TheWatchBrosHaha awesome, saw that clip and straight away thought of you 👍
The chopard is a piece of art. Fun video❤

@TheWatchBros ya tons of your competitors make this content. So it's a good one to do. Well done and best wishes Jason and team.
im suprised the omega speedmaster (especially white dial) was not included in the list.
Fantastic watch! I thought it was too obvious so it didn't make the list... this time 😉 - Jason
Ah my favourite topic. Especially for people that already enlighted from ROLEX obsession and FOMO trend. Really enjoy your video. 🤜🤛
Awesome... we're glad you enjoyed the topic and video 😁 - Jason
I’m probably crazy, I like the Speedmaster more. I also, only like the zenith Daytona w/ the white dial. I know I know
The Zenith Daytona is my favorite Daytona version... and one of my favorite Chronos of all time! - Jason
@ what is your favorite color?
I'm into the clean look of the white dial. How about you? - Jason

I think you missed the Tudor chronograph 😊 it is another excellent watch alternative to Daytona
I covered this in our last BTL episode on the new Flamingo Blue release. Take a look and watch when you get the time. Thanks - Jason
Sugess chronograph homage is a good one. Ali Express.
I'm not comfortable buying a serious watch from Ali Express, but I'm sure some of the viewers would like to check this out. I have thought about buying the parts and pieces from AE and building a watch though. I think that could be a fun video - Jason
@@TheWatchBros That $1,600.00 Baltic with a Seiko VK64 movement is not a serious watch. That $400 Sugess with a fully mechanical Peacock movement is!

funny how a Patek 5170 or 5172 even is overlapping Daytona values when you look at secondary!
Those are some strong pieces - Jason
Baltic Tricompax has an SW510 manual wind movement
Lot's of research and a time crunch to record... I got my wires crossed on this one. It happens, unfortunately. I apologize for getting it wrong - Jason
Alternative usely means alot cheaper, Zenith is probably same price originally and a way better watch😒😏
I wanted to give options on both sides of price point. I agree, the Zenith is absolutely a better chronograph - Jason
@TheWatchBros glad I educated you
Did you think I thought the Daytona was better? - Jason
@@TheWatchBrosnope you just didn't think keep safe😊
I own the Longines Conquest Chronograph, and it’s 42 mm and I don’t think it has a column wheel movement. But I hope you’re correct.
@@markandlynneshapiro4027 It’s a modular chronograph design. It doesn’t have a column wheel. I was thinking the same thing when he said it…
There’s no alternative to the Daytona.
Well… that’s not true - Jason
lol lots of wrong info at the Baltic section
