More points missing from the video:
-Criticizing off grid solar gear is easy because there is so much junk in the market. My videos would not have much value if these companies were doing a good job.
- I jump at every opportunity to tell people to avoid a product. These are opportunities to educate others, and increases the weight of future product recommendation. People do not need to be "sold" to, they need to be educated. Big difference.
- Someone could be dishonest with affiliate programs and recommend whatever they wish just to make quick money (as mentioned at the end of my video). But in my mind, my entire business would fail if I was dishonest. Even a single dishonest review could ruin me. My actual value comes from the trust I have. And I can lose it overnight if I was dishonest.

Will, I'd really like to see a review of the Lifeblue batteries. I've used them in my last two RV systems, and find the built in Bluetooth monitoring to be a nice benefit. In conjunction with my Victron solar controller with bluetooth, I can keep tabs on my system without needing a separate system monitor. (trimetric, Link Lite, etc)
Will, your doing a great job. Always going to have haters and they are just cynical people. Take it from some like myself that is 10 to 15 years older than you. The more people you meet, the more cynics you will find. The main key is to actively try not to join them. It is very easy to join and hard to avoid. Good luck and just do your thing and ignore the people who just want to hate.

@@WillProwse I was just going to say the exact same thing, perhaps a bit too honest at least when it comes to your personal finances. One must be careful these days. Thanks for the video Will., Oh ya just an edit here, any plans on a book aimed more towards Off Grid Living for Homes not just the RV's boats etc. My plan is to start from scratch with an off grid home build in Northern Ontario Canada, trying to get all my ducks in a row even before starting. Uh, he just said he was making Eighty Thousand per year when he was in his RV. He wasn't exactly hurting... When most people talk about someone "living in the street" they're talking about someone probably living on single digit dollars per day, not someone in the upper-middle class Choosing to live in an RV.
I'm not saying this in Any way as a negative against Will. Good for him for working hard and saving if that's what he wanted to do. But your comment makes it sound like he was begging for scraps at soup kitchens.

He kind of *was* "begging for scraps at soup kitchens" due to injury, disability, and lack of family support before he taught himself enough to treat his own disability, and then taught himself enough to start a successful business on disseminating solar power expertise.
The "working hard and saving" stage of RV life seemed to come after having done it out of necessity for some time, and he seems to have climbed his way from there to "the upper middle class" entirely on his own.

He moves to a van so he can deal with his health problems and book or career without having to worry about his fixed cost...rent, utilities...that eat up his health and career. He also has an education , innate intelligence , honesty , a sense of logic of efficiency , a combination that most people don't have nor work hard to achieve. He knows what it takes to achieve. Most losers don't grasp that combination. Reviewers who like him must have the same features and I bet you they are successful in their life. Besides he is a good looking kid and charming. He has good athletic skills. It is not easy to be a surfer or a skater. If he is not the way he is, did what he had done, he'd be living by the day with a bottle or addicted to prescription drugs. He had all the means towards that path. But he didn't take that route. He'd make a perfect son in law or son! The kid is still naive. He gets affected by comments from losers and yet comes out to educate them about how to make money besides solar...

Honestly, from living on the streets with a crippling disability to making $50K/month from your own book royalties and RUclips channel... Completely self-made, completely independent, did it all from his van. That is an incredible story. Especially having attained it at his age, he looks to be under 25. He should be on Oprah honestly, this story needs national attention.

It doesn't hurt that most items solar/battery related are high-ticket items. 5% of a $900 battery is $45. If he is making $8000 a month in affiliate that is about 175 batteries.
The problem with most RUclipsrs and their affiliates is the low dollar amount of items. 5% of a $60 video game is just $3.

I had no idea that someone could make that kind of money on RUclips way to go. I do like your videos.
There is an 8 year old RUclips doing unboxing videos of toys who last year, made ... wait for it ... $24 million dollars. There are many many millionaires as a result of RUclips content providers.
I have friends in Flordia who do sailboat rebuild RUclips videos and make a lot of money too, but what most don't realize is that it's a hard job and sometimes requires working seven days a week.
There are plenty who make that kind of money but usually it's through entertainment of some kind, such as playing video games for people to watch. It's much harder to get such a large following through providing educational content like Will is doing, which makes it all the more impressive.

Been watching a while. I’m 53 and worked with all kinds of electrical systems, and contractors, for more than three decades.
In one afternoon of a few hours I learned more valuable info and up to date looks at the industry in general than I accumulated in my 30 plus years.

I’m a middle school science teacher for just over 20 years. I’ve started showing my students your videos and I tell them to just think about the possibilities of the content. It generates SO much conversation with these inner city kids. It’s great in 2021 to focus on something useful other than all the other crap going on around us.
Don’t pay too much attention to the naysayers harassing you about your channel and the money you make. Part of what’s got our country lagging is everybody cares so much about things they have no business worrying about.

I'm homeless living in my van that I outfitted myself with Solar panels, but over the last couple of years. I totally trashed my solar batteries so they barely hold a charge to charge my phone during the night.. I know, I know, what a fool, but at age 62 and being evicted wrongfully from my home of 42 years (1970 - 2012) I've had to learn things on the fly. And with SSI income of just over a grand a month it ain't easy to do practically anything. Especially when I'm almost 3 years past my renewal of my registration after being hospitalized and they want $1,401.00 to get it current, well, you know, you do the best that you can .
I hope you have a great New Year and things keep going your way. You've been helpful to me learning about solar, I just wish I had seen your video a week or two before I bought the RockPals 500watt battery backup. I only paid $483 including tax, but I could have done bete better if I had seen your video on these stand alone power supplies.

An honest man only needs the quiet reassurance of the man in the mirror knowing that you did your best with honor and integrity. i feel better now...seriously, you deserve anything you make...when i first started watching your vids i didn't know anything about solar, watched the renogy starter vid, bought it, added more panels to make 400 watt/12 volt system...now i'm fixing to buy mpp or growatt 48 volt system for off-grid...i'm loving this sh!t and i thank you!!!!...HIGHER VOLTAGE IS THE WAY TO GO.
