  • Nine students (including Vincenza Corrado) from P.S. 80 in Manhattan, whose names are mostly unintelligible: "We adopted and support a Korean orphan." Bill guesses, going last, after Bess is almost there. Garry reads letters written by the students.
    Frank Corbin, VP of McCarty Associates, the show's PR firm, is eating a Thanksgiving dinner. "I'm going on a diet - starting tomorrow." Bess guesses, going third, but the show offers to give him the $80 prize money anyway, or $2 for each of the 40 pounds he intends to lose (he signs an affidavit).

    When I was in school around this air date, there were children in foreign countries adopted by various classes. I thought that when the other kid was adopted they literally came to live with my family. :)

    Carving the turkey white meat works much better if you cut the entire half breast away from the ribs and other bones, then on a separate cutting board you can slice the meat evenly across the grain. This makes the slices fork tender, too. Taking slices directly off the bird means you're cutting along the meat fibers, so you get shreds that are chewy and need knife and fork at your plate.
