Great info! I have a 403(b) with a great match, and in 2025 getting the option to also contribute to a 457(b). Maxing both out sounds great in theory, but then what money will I actually have left after all the deductions?!
Wow! I haven't heard of a 403(b) with a match yet. May I ask how many % does your employer match? Hahaha, I agree. It's great in theory but there would be no money to enjoy or pay bills. 😆
Is the 10k per month your gross amount including benefits or just your gross take home pay? I'm a first year in Nevada and my total comp package is about 80k but my gross take-home is only 48k with the difference going to medical and pension.
Sending this to my brother who just became a teacher!!!
Thank you!! That’s right wishing him the best
Great to see teacher doing this FIRE 🔥 thing.

They match 10% of my salary which comes out to 10k match per year
@@NV-rr8mpomg that’s amazing!! Wish I had that
We’re grossly underpaid compared to our peers, so they make the benefits lucrative.

The $10k is my gross take home pay! I haven't calculated my total comp package
i suggest not to rely on your Boyfriend on your retirement plans (regarding heath care).
Appreciate that. I’ll most likely look into health plans
