- In the near future, the world is at war: the USR (the Undersea Silence Revolution or the Underwater Silence Revolution) a mysterious organization led by Admiral Red and his powerful submarine UX, wants to stop human exploitation of the seas, having torpedoed many ships and ports. The world's navies unite and form the Peace Keeping Navy, or PKN, to fight the "terrorists". Every major UN member contributed a submarine, though the Japanese entry is an old clunker, the 707, and it is running late to the inaugural meeting. When the meeting finally begins, Admiral Red and the UX come to spoil the show with a spread of torpedoes. Arriving late in the battle, Captain Youhei Hayami steers the 707 into the way of a torpedo launched at the supercarrier that serves as the PKN's flagship. His ship is destroyed, but the flagship survives.
Six months later, Captain Hayami is given command of the salvaged and rebuilt 707, and takes a crew of old comrades and brand new cadets to sea to fight Admiral Red once more.
This is part 2 of the movie.

This animated episode is made so good and action packed it's like watching a non-animated movie.

A nice little treat in the vein of, and from the same creator as Blue Submarine No.6 (not quite as good, admittedly), would have loved to see it continue, but what we did get certainly didn't disappoint.
Check out the Silent Service. It is pretty good. 😎

Supposedly this was a pilot for a new anime series, based on an older animated film that itself was based on a manga, it just didn't get picked up for further episodes.
It's a shame really, for I really liked this one. Sure, it's not exactly 100℅ accurate/realistic, but it does capture the flavor of what submarine combat is like , the whole cat-and-mouse angle and the skipper's having to form a mental picture of what's going on outside the sub, and trying to get into your enemy's head.
The 707 itself is one cool sub, a pity the WW2 version got blown up in the first part, but I do like that both it and the rebuilt version are diesel subs. DBF!
At 11:41 it sounds so much like Ace Combat 5 if you play the Japanese version the way they sound and talking to each other on the radio. So realistic and scary at the same time.

707号二世、ジュニア、速水艦長の姿は昔のままだが、後はだいぶ変わっていて戸惑い。1960年代に少年サンデーで読んだままをアニメ化して欲しかった。707二世はUX号ではなく相手はブラックジャックだった。
沈黙の艦隊を検索したらドラえもんみたいなこのアニメが出て来た

此れは「劇場版」ですかな？ 「潜水艦マンガ」で初めてヒットした「マンガ」でしたよね。当時、私は小五でしたが、単純に「カッコイイ」と思って読んで居ました。今見れば、「全てが子供じみている」と思いますが、それでも「当時（原作）」を思い出して、楽しく拝見しました。原作でも「大和」が出て来たり、「怪獣（赤ハゲ）」が出て来るなど、結構メチャクチャ（子供でも思って居ました）な展開で、最後の方は「潜水艦マンガ」として「面白く無く成った」のが正直な所ですかね。しかし、日本の「漫画界」に於いて「潜水艦マンガ」と言う「金字塔を打ち立てた」功績は大きいと思って居ます。
最近の潜水艦は水中速力を上げるために涙滴型が主流だけど707みたいな船型の方が好きだな。

青６とサブマリン７０７のマンガの４０１とＵＸを合わせたお話ですね。
けど好きですよ。アニメの青６よりいい。
+tadasi hayasaka コーバック号が出て来るから尚更そう感じるねｗ、にしても撃沈されたグレートガーディアン、デザインが「りゅうおう」（アニメ版の6号）に似てて嫌な感じｗｗｗ
見事に全部のストーリーとキャラクターを混ぜ合わせた感じですね…

「母港の君に入港したいよ」ってハヤミ艦長め、下ネタぶっ込んできやがったな🤣まっ、あれだけ綺麗な奥さんなら入港したい気持ちは解らんでもないな🤤
このシリーズ、２作しか作られなかったんだな。シリーズ化してくれたらもっと嬉しいのだが。
子供の頃漫画でみたり、プラモデルを作ったりしていました。若くてセクシーな奥様やロリなアユちゃんはいなかったように思えます。
着物姿の奥さんが「今度の仕事は難しいのですね…もう帰れない覚悟なのですね…長年連れ添った私にはわかるんです…」と、原本の1巻にあったような…健気な嫁を捨てて若い女に乗り換えたのか?速水一佐…尊敬できないぞ!!!
清々しい気持ちで新しい週明けを迎えられそうです。なんか、どろどろしてなくて良いですね。

Next new submarine 707 comes up in ending roll, but I am sorry that there is not a sequel.
Part 2 の方は英語吹き替えなんだ。でもなかなか楽しめたよ。
最後の方で、新造の707が見えてくるんだけど、続きがないのは残念だな～

"ふしぎの海のナディア"のノーチラス号とガーフィッシュの戦闘シーンを彷彿させますね。それにしても、707のセイルのトップにあるレーダー?のシャークマウスがメッチャカッコいいですね(^-^)
せっかくなので、ジュニアの活躍をも観てみたいてす。
元々、ナディアに登場するノーチラス号の装備であるホムガードと敵艦のガーフィッシュ自体、元ネタはこの作品の原作ですからｗｗｗ
日本の潜水艦アニメや漫画の大半はこの作品の原作が元になってると思いますよ。
「沈黙の艦隊」のたつなみ副長・速水健次の名前の由来も、この作品の登場人物からですね
元ネタこれです コミックではガーフィもでます
気になって原作調べたら、1960年代のマンガなんだよね。
続きも作ってほしかったな・・・

艦長の台詞が良過ぎです！
「逃げるんだよ、賢い亀はな！」
オープニングに写ってる707のもとになった潜水艦を横から見た姿が旧日本海軍の伊201とそっくりで、水中を高速で移動する潜水艦の外観ってあれが一番いいんだなぁと実感しますよね。
あと、後部に魚雷発射管装備してる潜水艦って珍しいけど、艦長の作戦とめちゃくちゃ相性がよさそう…
結局、勝負の行方は先送り。いわゆる『俺達の戦いはこれからだ！』という尻切れトンボな終わり方で消化不良気味です😕 続編を作って欲しいんですが、望み薄そうですね😥

DVDを持ってますが、RUclipsも観てしまいます。脚本には？ですが、707の復活。連載当時のストーリーが良いです。

This battle scene really made me not care about the series going forward sad to say... Like obviously everything doesn't need to be super realistic for me to like it, but the problem is none of these strategies even make sense as compared to real submarine warfare. Like in real combat when a submarine fires a torpedo on you, generally you dodge to the right or left and crank up your speed to maximum while deploying all sorts of various decoys and false signals as you try and kick up as much water as possible to Bury your signal in noise because the enemy is gonna be blasting you with active sonar. Realistically every decision the skipper makes should have gotten him killed, but he's presented as some genius sub commander... it's just too unbelievable for me to like it and I'm not surprised the show wasn't picked up.

原作が産まれた時代が時代だけれど、アニメ化で迫力出すためとはいえ距離と速度と時間のレートが潜水艦ではなく戦闘機戦だね。
まぁ、いずれにせよ、以前に制作されたナックのOVAに比べるとマシなのは確か。あっちは本当に酷いからｗｗｗ
