I still love the "Front" on all your sketchbooks. I know why but just seeing it and then seeing what's inside is like a perfect metafor for how artists live. We're messy, disorganized (or organized messy) and awkward people but we can make some beautiful things. Just like the crude "front" scratched on the cover with no effort, strictly utilitarian but then you open it up and there's hyper-detailed, clean lines and well thought out pieces. Everything we do is "front" until we get a pen in our hand and some time.
You can start out with any normal construction that you'd use for drawing humans but then replace the flesh with the sort of shape language and parts that you would see in machines
That fish idea is honestly perfect for an anime or comic in general. You should definitely consider creating a full series, or even just putting the idea out there to some companies. I’d pay for a full series like that
You are so inspiring. Thank you for showing us your lovely sketchbooks Chroma Moma, I was enjoing a nice bowl of warm oats whilst being pleasantly intrigued by your creative drawings.
I've never been so happy to click on a recommended video... I love your illustrations so much, sketches like yours is what originally got me started with drawing. I'm super into this look/aesthetic, and I definitely want to study from you.
i love the world that you created for inktober. I feel like it's more inspiring and creative than following a list, this helps me with artblock a lot :')
man we need that big fish manga absolutely need it or it could be just more illustrations like that no need for a story with those amazing illustrations
while watching your video, i couldnt help but keep thinking that all your sci fi ideas would make an amazing series. like if you animated this as a tv show with space being the final frontier for netflix, kinda like a love death and robots vibe, i would watch the shit outta that
Yesterday I watched the video on how the calarts sketchbooks are bad and only show fleshed out pieces and then today u upload this masterpiece of a sketchbook lol
I don’t know what you filmed this on, but I guess it’s a dslr with shallow depth of field. It’s really difficult to watch when the right side is out of focus. Really love the content though 🤷🏾♂️ maybe the solution would be to increase light so the you can use a larger f stop...just a suggestion 😉
Excellent idea about telling a story for a sequence of sketches I loved all explanations of this video. Can you make a video talking about how to use references correctly? Will be great :)
Does anyone know of any sketchbooks with smooth paper? A moleskine sketchbook would be perfect but they’re a bit expensive for me. His sketchbook looks pretty smooth but it’s sometimes difficult to tell through a camera. I typically use a fabriano sketchbook. Awesome sketches btw, your art is awesome!
Hi chroma, I wonder how you get all these ideas... this is my biggest problem when I draw. I just can’t figure out : « what do I draw ? » Your drawings are very impressive, as always. Stay hydrated ✌️
Does anyone else notice the wonky focus of the camera making the right side of the video kinda blurry, his right hand is less sharp as his right as well
I was absolutely immersed in that large fish universe and I honestly didn't want to leave. I'd love to have a physical copy / pdf of those drawings :0
Honestly I would pay for a hardcover book on just the concepts of the large fish universe
@@cronian2372 Same bro
i feel so inspired
i'm sorry but HOW can a person be so CREATIVE????

This would make a really good comic or illustration book, I'd really like to see this world in some sort of story.
That fish idea is honestly perfect for an anime or comic in general. You should definitely consider creating a full series, or even just putting the idea out there to some companies. I’d pay for a full series like that

Blown away by your line quality, as always! Also love the small detail of the inkan/hanko/chop stamping on the first page!
That's such a cool idea, it totally could be a animated movie. Good work!
while watching your video, i couldnt help but keep thinking that all your sci fi ideas would make an amazing series. like if you animated this as a tv show with space being the final frontier for netflix, kinda like a love death and robots vibe, i would watch the shit outta that

His sketchbook looks pretty smooth but it’s sometimes difficult to tell through a camera. I typically use a fabriano sketchbook. Awesome sketches btw, your art is awesome!

Do u use a camera or phone for recording??
Does anyone else notice the wonky focus of the camera making the right side of the video kinda blurry, his right hand is less sharp as his right as well
I think a lot of artists have standbys. Mine are sea creatures and insects.
My guy, ya gotta find a way to publish and sell these sketch books, there too good not too!
Jovani Pokemone, fabulous name 👌
