I have two going but my wife weed wacked one of them on accident. It's growing back. The tree I got seed from is loose and open like the one you showed. Not known here on Kauai at all, only lychee.
Too bad you gave away part of your haul. Would’ve been awesome to catch a glimpse of the full pulasan collection. Still, another really great video. Thanks!
@@allthefruit welcome. How to send you... Near to Kapit we have two locations one only accessable by long tail boat the other easier. We have dabai and durian
I think this is a good question for any fruit fan. I have never gotten the opportunity to try pulasan. Litchi/Lychee is my favourite and Rambutan second, but sometimes I get some REALLY nice rambutan and I start to question my opinion. What is your preference? I think it would be fun if we all talked about our favourites.
@@AwesomeFish12 Same here, I haven't had the opportunity to taste pulasan, I will probably have to make a special trip to Borneo, just to taste them. I did try to grow some pulasan trees in my garden, but they died in winter, they are very tropical trees. My favourite is litchi, rambutan and then longan. The other similar fruit which I need to taste is matoa. Thank you
I love the beautiful exterior colors of the fruits! 😍
Yeah

Good luck bro. They can take several years to get to fruiting size so you'll have to fight your wife off for a while before they produce fruit.
I imagine a stout Hawaiian woman weedwacking her way through the orchard 😂 scary
@@allthefruit More like a petite Portuguese hottie.
Even better 😂
I really wish i could get these in Bali I still jave never tried anything but the regular rambutan and they are definitely one of my favourite fruits
Best texture and sour/sweet balance
No idea why they dont grow them
Wow, that looks delicious. The yellow one is both prettier and more good tasting, maybe some commercial potential?
Idk with many of them if they are not commercial varieties

A good litchi. Pulasan is second, then rambutan. But dont eat too much rambutan, youll get a sore throat
@@ahmedlunat1248 Matoa is weird. Its almost savory. My least favorite from this group of fruits.
