Growing up i always had flakey dandruff spots in my hair that was super itchy and when i itched them they'd scab over and heal but show back up again. I don't know if this had anything to do with the tinea but I was diagnosed with tinea versicolor when i got pregnant at age 23 and had my first child. The doctors said it shows up commonly in pregnant women who have boys and i indeed had a boy. Honestly i didn't really try anything specifically for it. It showed up around my bra area underneath my breasts. It was red and itchy but not scaley or raised. I started washing my bras better and stopped using bras with underwires that harbor bacteria and it went away within a couple months. I'm now 29 and had a second son and it has never come back yet. The only thing i can say i did was keep it dry and that helped. I also use dove shampoo and soap which it great for sensitive skin

I've had white patches on my neck, hand and arms for a few years and never knew why until lately. I was out in the sun alot this summer and the patches on my neck area went pinkish. Just the past couple of weeks my neck area started a rash that is so itchy and the more I scratched it has gotten inflammed.
I have just started with dandruff shampoo on it with selenium sulfide which helps to calm it down.
Could you suggest any over the counter fungal creams. I would really appreciate it. Thankyou
