Finally a warmup where kids are not holding their arms counting to 10. Those are post baseball stretches and the ones in the video are for warmups. Thanks for sharing.

I'm a tball coach in my town. I have no baseball experience other than watching games.
This channel has helped a ton. Thank you🙂

Yes I totally agree with you doing stretches before practice or even a game is very important and before throwing and there were some stretches that I did when I played youth baseball and highschool baseball. But if you are coaching a team that is 11-12 year old team or 13-14 year old team most of them is wanting to play highschool baseball. So if there are any coaches that played highschool baseball and beyond that then this kind of stretches and baseball knowledge will help them get to the level that they want to be in. The one thing that I don't miss about baseball is the running because when I got to youth baseball and highschool baseball I never ran so much in my life I mean at our highschool we would run on the track and then we would run on the football field and then there was a hill that was facing the road and we would have to run up that. But if you have players that is wanting to play highschool level or higher then now is the time to get them prepared in what they are going to face. Because highschool are only wanting players who really wants it and I'm sure the higher level that you go it will be the same concept

Matt it is so awesome to see a father out at the ball park with his son! Where did you learn this warmup routine? At the college level? This did not exist 30 or 40 years ago where I played. The coaches let us do about 30 seconds of stretching then it was time to start throwing.

This looks like a good warm up for me to do before swimming. Nice!

So many people need to hear and follow this advice, especially coaches. They are the ones often time that control what players do or are allowed to do before beginning practice/tryout.
Do you recommend any more of the jband exercises for warmup/training?

Love the video. I coach 10u and 12u rec teams and wondering if you have alternate exercises or stretches to replace the jband routine. We don't have enough bands for every player to use in a timely manner. We actually only have one set. Appreciate any info that can be provided. Thanks.

Should send this video to Aaron bummer of the whitesox. Haha I swear the guy is not warmed up every time he starts pitching. You can almost guarantee he falls behind the first hitter he faces every time.
