Don't listen to the na sayers, what some don't realize is even AFR enforcers are cast in China, what I found out about mine is you need to check the springs, I found a few that were off.
Your ground game is off the charts, I couldnt agree more. Im a apple, pecan, cherry or peach pie fan, meat pies kick a$$ too!!!! Pie's are for winners! Lol
I use Powermaster Mastertorque starter 9612 never has done me wrong. You are correct on some alternators drawing power. Easy fix, if you come across that problem is to just wire it to a turn key power and boom done. So for all you folks that do not live in a desert area, Using ground flat straps can corrode easily and fast so make sure you only use them in a area that needs to flex or move and cover them with shrink tubing that will keep oxygen off of them and will not corrode. Use cable grounds in areas that do not need to flex. I run 30k watts on my CB in my 76 K5 Blazer trust me I know all about grounds lol and live in a corrosive state.

My first experience with their heads started and ran great for a few months. Eventually, id have to have the throttle half open for the engine to start. I finally pulled the heads and found all the valve guides "egg shaped". If the valve job is off center the valve stem will stress the guide and wear. I believe that would be your worst case scenario down the road. Shit.....good running engine for now. Keep Sarah busy....
That’s good info!!! I’ll be watching for that for sure!!!! If it happens I’ll film that too!! Thank you for watching! And commenting!!! And Sarah is a very busy girl!!!
Yes If you run a jumper wire on your alternator to constant 12v, it will leave the field energized and draw your battery down. Originally, that wire went to a switched 12v and the other wire in that connector to a bulb(I think). As the field energized the bulb would go out and you knew the alternator was charging.
Ya. You’re right. This car was originally externally regulated. But the true one wire alternator I bought seems to have corrected the problem because it’s staying at 12v. After sitting for over a week and a half now.
The reason the valve guides got egged shape is the push rods may have not been the right length or the tip of rocker was not centered on the valve head, causing side thrust on the valve which wears the guides out quicker. Also, it changes rock arm ratio to be off...
Spend the money and change everything over to AN fittings with black braided stainless hose, No clamps or water leaks. This for rad. and waterpump. Rad. size: AN 16 or AN 20...
Is that the promaxx 215 heads? If so they are good heads and the 215s flow right at 300 cfm right out the box and you cant beat that for the price of them what cam shaft is that ? The lil motor sounds good. Eric wingardner put a set of the 215 on a 406 and made over 600 hp.
@@richardsmith-qy6vl the Promax heads I used on that 350 were the smaller 185cc runner. Which is plenty for a little 350. I did a couple videos on the assembly where I showed all of that stuff. But it’s been in the car for a while now. No issues. I’d say bang for the buck they are pretty good heads. I’ll probably use them again.
It should run faster with a 800 cfm carb. My 350 ran faster with a 800 Holley than the NHRA 750 cfm carb. At that time I was using a GM LT 350-350 hydraulic cam, power right to 6,000 rpm.
Its too bad the headers bend so quick off of the heads, it cause the engine to loose a lot of power. The straighter from the heads before the bend will alwas make more with out reversion, if you have the room to do so on the engine bay...

If your 60 ft. times are slow, put longer collectors on it and it will pickup the 60 ft. times because it gives you more lowend torque...
