- In this secrets video, I head back to WCW vs NWO Revenge for the original game for a lot of these secrets and easter eggs that would show back up in later WWE games of the same engine. I was surprised to see no mention of using the control stick to break a pin or hold. (Of course, in the latter case, this may cause you to immediately tap out.) This secret/glitch was also in "World Tour".
I thought that was World Tour exclusive and that they fixed it by Revenge. Thanks for sharing. If I make a follow up I'll definitely credit you! Hope you enjoyed!

@@beanomac3126 it was in Revenge and unique submissions couldnt be broken up by it. The Crossface, Rings of Saturn, Aki man's GnP, Liontamer
Sting and Bret both had the deathlock, so it could be broken. This made some submission more valuable than others.
it does NOT work 100% of the time.
Hayabusa didn't end his career in ECW. His career ended during a botched midrope moonsault in a match in FMW in 2001.

There was a rumor back then that you could play as the truck driver from the intro. His clothes are even available with Larry Zbysko.
Yeah, his outfit is available for a few characters. Would've been cool if he was the final secret unlockable. 😆

I loved this game. Hogan also says that "yeah" when doing his corner punches. I used to steal taunts all the time. The FUNNIEST thing I used to do was always pick Kevin Nash to fight Alex Wright. I'd do the jackknife on Wright & have Nash to Wright's dancing taunt before pinning him 😂😂😂 Memories!

Sting will also come down from the rafters during championship mode if you have the settings for allowing interference. It is rare though, as a variety of wrestlers can come out.

Voice over was beyond fine and as a brand new viewer/subscriber if you didn't say anything I never would have thought of it. You're easy to understand and your voice narrates perfectly without taking away from the background footage.

Yeah, those were the days. Time changes so fast though. Technology advanced so quickly in the 90s to early 2000s. Feel like everything changed when smart phones became mainstream. Not complaining but its intriguing to look back just 20 years ago and think those things are long gone. Thanks for Watching!
Those were the good ole days. The only time I regretted going to blockbuster was when WCW Backstage Assault was released.

excuse the comments. I just LOVE videos like this. Hogan's finisher is Ric Flairs ( as many would know, guessed) BUT, it can be seen as the Finger poke of doom. in RARE cases, the opponent will be TKO'd, or their spirit will drop very low. Hogan's true finisher can be done by throwing opponent to the rope, then press b for the big boot, then do the lego drop. Sting's scorpion death drop can be done in Vs the world and WCW MAYHEM.

this and no mercy were played 24/7 on my 64 all the time lol.. i started as a wcw guy so this and wcw/nwo world tour were my first wrestling games
Honestly never a WCW or ECW guy. But obviously they had names I would love in later WWF/WWE. World Tour also holds a special place in my heart!

@5:56: You are absolutely right! I'd do the stage rebound with DDP (w/Special) vs Raven so i could do the pop-up Diamond Cutter and he would come out with a chair and smack me with it... it was an unexpected jump scare lol

@beanomac3126 Yes, I'd try to create my own OMG moments in different ways. Another cool thing I'm not sure if anyone knew but if you use characters that have combination attacks, the default is 4/5 when activated but it skyrockets to 10 if you have a special activated. Ultimo Dragon was one of my mains lol

Great job if this is your first voice over man. You’re right about the monotone, but that’s okay. That was really the only complaint. I will typically close a video once I’m disinterested by a voice, but this is a super passionate project and I’m glad I gave it a shot.
Keep doing it, you’ll get more comfortable and even better at it with reps. Appreciate the stroll down memory lane.
I’d love to see a video about urban legends we used to perpetuate in those days. There were all kinds of strategies we used to argue over and all sorts of secrets people swore work that didn’t do a thing haha. Would be really cool to get a look at some old GameShark stuff too for WM2000 and No Mercy - there were some pretty wild ones you could find online.
That is a great idea for a video! I would love to cover the urban legends and playground stories from a bygone era! Also as far as those GameShark codes go, I do have a lot of the channel. Unfortunately some of the codes turned out to be urban legends it seems, (more than likely my emulator won't let them work properly) but I do have a few arena hacks for WrestleMania 2000 and some codes showcasing disabled characters using GameShark codes. Big Show is also showcased from No Mercy in a few of my videos including my recent playthrough of Championship. So check out those hack videos in a playlist on the channel if you'd be interested. Countless hundreds of hours playing this game as a kid......followed by no mercy....if u had a gameshark it took it to another level!!!!!
Yeah, I explored a bunch of GameShark codes for Wrestlemania 2000 that changed the arenas and allowed for unused content such as the Light Heavyweight Title belt.
Using the playing possum technique while you are in a hold will build up your Spirit meter. You will never tap out because your spirit meter will be full.
When you release the stick the hold is released and your spirit is full.

@@daniellewolf3697unfortunately I don't think they were. And what I'm referring to isn't exactly unused models. Just a similar concept. You'll see this upcoming Sunday though.
If I remember correctly, during Tag Team Matches, if you use Goldberg or Perry Saturn, their Finishers (Jack Hammer, Rings of Saturn) can't be interrupted by their opponents

Idk to be honest. I don't have one that I installed myself so if there is any enhancement, it's done automatically through the M64plusFZ emulator itself. I use it on android but I'm not sure if it's available for PC.

Both games certainly captured peak periods of their respective companies.
I remember the silver titles, but I vaguely remember holding start when starting it, or some other button maybe? Holding start while turning on the console accesses the memory card of the n64 so its probly a different button, but I remember holding down something to get the silver titles
You hold down the start button immediately or before you turn on the console for the memory pack screen. But after the first 2 seconds the game turns on. I think any button though that skips the intro at the black and white section triggers the glitch.
Loved this game! I remember playing 4 players with my friends and different wrestlers having different boosts and attributes. Jericho was OP because you got a spirit boost each second the Lion Tamer/Walls of Jericho submission was applied. Chris Benoit got a double spirit boost each second if you countered/reversed an arm strike into an arm bar submission. I think it was either Sting or La Parka (?) that got a weapon every time they went into the crowd.
Do you know if there were any other specific boosts like that?
I'm sure there is. Damage has to do with it as well as blood type. I'm not an expert on the A.I in these games though so I couldn't explain the details of how it all works or who has what effects.
so something that’s interesting that i never see posted about this game.. and it’s probably just a bug but u can actually be invincible if u go to the entrance and hold up on the d-pad and down-c. you can’t be attacked but u also can’t attack so it isn’t very useful but kinda cool anyway

Did you know that Hulk Hogan created Dr.Frank and did it on the same night that he beat Dake Ken? Also on the same night he flew over seas to the Silver dome to slam Kim Chee while pinning THQ Man with his patented Shooting Star Press that he would later teach Billy Kidman before using the leg drop?

It was a fun watch. With regards to any constructive feedback, when you were listing off the real references for the fictional wrestlers, the voice over wasn't in sync with what was displayed. Not a huge deal at all, just something to think on.

The Z Button was not a glitch. Lol. I remember one of the game guides in the early 2000s made an article about this because it was one of their most requested guide but they didn't want to cover it because it's a feature that's highlighted in the original manual.
Intriguing. It still feels like a debug option left in or something. But cool nevertheless. I couldn't imagine the frustration of having to take a bathroom break, turning this feature on, and then returning to see your character had been eliminated. 😂 Thanks for watching. There was a rumor or I guess it was an April Fools joke in a magazine, that if you won every belt with Billy Kidman, which is impossible cause you can’t pick two of the same guy for a tag. But it was supposed to unlock Renegade, Discipline and 2-3 others. It bothered me for years and I’d always hoped it was true but it wasn’t.
I know it works!!!!! You just have to do it 100 times and input the specific combination in order to select Kidman twice!!! My big brother told me.
Dake Ken was amazingly good. Great special, KO'd all the time. Only AKI man and the ninja character were better

I never forget the day when I was playing againt's a friend with our created players and he finished me with my own finisher. I was mad as shit. Then he was like well I got to go home. It was Wrestlemania 2000.

@@beanomac3126 Yea good stuff mate! The game came out like 4 months before he switched to the singlet attire...I've seen mods that include Norman Smiley, Ernest Miller, Bam Bam, Regal and Sid that look really good.
A cool thing I did for ric flair was had Finlay with Roddy Pipers attire it actually works ,and name change to Ric flair
The things we had to do back in the day. 😆 One of the best things about modern games is community creations.
@@beanomac3126 a few more things I did was change juventud gurrera to Micheal Jackson in the jean clothes lmao,or changing Chris Jericho to Kurt Cobain with ravens attire shirt White pants green,or taking Kevin Nash and Wolfpack sting and making them undertaker and Kane,I gave kevin Nash Stings cloak attire and changed the scorpion to purple ,an gave sting either la parkas attire in red for classic Kane or mortis's attire in red swapped out with green for Kane 01 it was weird,another one was pink Dr.frank as FrankenBerry from the Halloween cereal lmao 🤣 exactly tho the things we did as a kid man 🙌🏻💯🤡🎈

The weapon usually comes when you run into the back area.
Idk I tried like 20-30 times for this video and it just wouldn't work for me. Maybe it was an emulator issue somehow.

Can you do a video on how to do the finishers I can’t figure out how to do Rey mysterio jr’s
To do a finisher. You must have your spirit meter blinking. Then use the analog button to taunt and have it flash special. While it is flashing, hold A to strong grapple, and flick the analog button to do your finisher.
If I remember correctly,quite a few wrestlers had corner finishers, ie: Buff Bagwell,La Parka, Psichosis etc.
Just strong grapple in the corner when you have a special meter built up and use the stick to perform the finisher.
There are a couple with Irish whip finishers as well,such as the crippler crossface.
I had revenge on Nintendo 64 and mayhem for PlayStation I loved that game
I remember having a WCW Mayhem phase. It had promise but unfortunately the sequel we will not name was one of Wrestling's biggest disappointments.

Yeah, him and WCW had legal disputes. By the time they were solved it was too late. He actually almost defected to the WWF at the time. It's sad when fans have to suffer because of behind the scenes issues.

Why couldn't Big Poppa Pump get nWo belt? He was in black and white when he changed to the BPP gimmick. I like they gave him the first attire that he debuted with tho..but he had nwo, BPP, and old school long dark hair attire

@@beanomac3126 it makes no sense because I remember it was a fact that Steiner was in the nWo white faction on the game...and in the opening cut scene literally.. with Hogan and Bischoff posing while Hogan has the nwo title...and I believe he had an attire where he could where nwo shirt with shades and jeans BPP. The old school attires were priceless. I always liked some of those Luchas. Some high profile excluded wrestlers...that was ridiculous. Especially when u have playable characters like Norton and some game programmer. Even for today's standards, that was a big and nice roster

How do you reverse grapples on these games?
It's a very complicated affair and I'm honestly not good enough to explain. There are some guides that go over the basics to reversals on RUclips though.

Here is a guide I've checked out myself. It's definitely the most difficult wrestling game to learn the reversal system of though.

Yes, it is possible. It's done through repeated use of the "eye gouge" upper ground submission move.
This move will also eventually take the face paint off of both Sting and the fake nWo Sting.
You missed the biggest secret. Booker t’s secret taunt
