Masha'allah, I was silenced because i was a woman. I believe that, but your speech is powerful backed by hadith and Quran, I now know better, may Allah always increase in your blessings and knowledge.
I think the point she was making is that right now being outspoken or having a solid voice for women is seen as an "unpopular personality trait", but that it shouldnt be because having a strong opinion on something doesn't/ shouldn't make you a loud mouth, insubordinate, no good [bleep]. That women should be able to speak up and out against or on things that they don't agree without being looked at like "shut the **** up", ya know? Then to support her claim she just cited hadith, not unlike citing hadith for other major matters. I think that she said what she said how she said it because of this train of thought. Your comment resembles so many other peoples train of thought. That if you actually opened your mouth like that to your husband, he would leave you high and dry. Her point is that she should be able to say "hey wait that doesn't seem right"(respectfully of course b/c you shouldn't disrespect your husband, just like he shouldn't disrespect you) and this is why, and not be told shut up and have a seat.
Hazrat Ayesha رضی اللہ تعالی is the great mother of Ummah, mother is supposed to be mahram, hence Ummah is advised to get half of Shariah knowledge, my opinion.
Its sounds like she searched to justify her unpopular personality trait to sell it to other sisters. If you want to have peace in your home, don't take her advice. You will be alone raising your children. Im married over 20 years with 3 daughters and a son.
Sister I don’t understand what is the unpopular personality trait that she has ! Being able to speak up for women rights or telling us how allah and the prophet pbuh empowered us ! Do you know how many married women are suffering and they are so afraid of standing up for themselves and how so many people are telling them suck it up don’t say anything to your husband or else you will be a bad wife. For example, one married women told the scholar about the domestic abuse Her husband done on her and her kids you know what he said ! He literally said sister be patient this going to be the reason to enter paradise! You see how this brain washes us into thinking we have no right we just have to obey that we can’t speak up when we are being mistreated because women are not supposed to! tShe didn’t teach us how to be bad wife she empowered us

Unpopular personality trait how? To know your Deen and stand in your power? Islam have women a voice, culture took it away
Did you even listen to the whole talk?
