I have return in Tekken after arround 20 years because i couldnt stand to watch my Nina getting uglier since T4 - T7 but now they make her beautiful again almost like Original Nina i ve decided to come back. The problem is that all these new styles and methods of T8 are light years away from Tekken Tag in ps2 haha. I wish i could play like you some day. The match with Jun @ 9 minutes if i am right, it was fantastic, the oposite of Victor's who used so match bullet spam... Win without honor is no win at all. I love your Nina play because its very strategic ^.^
I just subbed this Nina is nasty!! Question! I just picked up Nina myself. When you hit a heat engager and start running at your opponents, what are the best options for the low mixup and high mixup? When I hit an engager my mind just goes blank! So I would just df1 2 for the mid mixup and db 3 for my low mixup but I know I can get more damage out of those situations! Any advice would help!! Love the content!
Thank you so much!! To answer your question, it really depends. What is your opponent doing, have you conditioned them, where are you on the stage, can they break throws, are they in rage/heat, etc... There's no right answer and a lot of it is situational awareness. For right now stick with what you're doing and as you develop more game knowledge, you'll be more prepared in those situations.
Just go for a grab or a launcher if you dont want to get heaps technical, its as basic a 50/50 gets. Dont talk about high/low mixups because they can just be entirely crouched, mids and lows/throws. Highs are for the frame advantage.
@@zackariahp1873a good mixup for moving in outside of heatdash is her qcf 3,4 (extend with1+2 on hit confirm) and her qcf 3. I’d advise learning her sidestep cancels too. One you use them a few times you should be able to land her wavedash chain throws easier as its a mindgame if you’re even going for a throw then.
But yeah dont overthink the run-in after heat engagement, they have no time to do anything but duck or stand block. So just have a launcher and grab in mind, 50% chance it works the first time then its a mindgame after that, ninas lows dont tend to go anywhere unless they mash
Hey how do u do db2 consistently in uf 4 uf 3 df 3 2 db2, In my case if often miss the hit of db2 although the db2 action is completed but doesn’t get hit
I love how Nina is basically anti-Victor spam with her movement haha. How do you deal with people spamming during your f4 ss1 pressure? I understand that mixing it up with ss4 can help but if they mash you can sometimes still get caught out. Any advice?
When playing against Victor, I like to sit back a bit and observe how they play. Victor's gameplan is pretty one dimensional but he can catch you out pretty easily. Make space and let the Victor player come to you, block/step and punish the running move, block the sweep and launch, know what stance transitions are fake, etc. Basically just sit back and let them make a mistake and punish them for it.
I don’t understand why Nina is not appreciated so much and few people use her in the game. She is really technical and in my opinion better than some mishimas and other characters. Nina 🥰
I’ve been thinking about it. I just wasn’t sure if enough people would want one from me because of other guides already out. If I get more request it’ll definitely come sooner.
Love the Nina play and the outfits. I’m maining Nina and I’m learning a lot watching you.
Thank you so much! That makes me so happy to hear!
