There is nothing wrong with being vegan but forcing your beliefs on others and guilt tripping them by bringing up racism, wars etc. it’s honestly disgusting. It gives a bad look to the vegan community when they aren’t all like this.

i have been vegan for over a year now, and i get her side about hurting animals and such, but i have never forced or suggested to anyone being vegan. It really makes me think that a lot of these anti-meat vegans ruining the reputation for some of us.

As a vegan myself I can say that there is no group that hates the vegan teacher more than vegans. She has done more harm than good for the movement with the way she spreads the message trying to make people feel bad for eating meant. Most vegans do not think people are bad people because they eat meat, most vegans were at one time meat eaters. My friends group is made up of vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters and we can all share different meals at the same table free of judgment and conflict.

As an abolitionist myself I can say there is no group that hates Abraham Lincoln more than abolitionists. He has done more harm than good for the movement with the way he spreads the message trying to make people feel bad for keeping slaves. Most abolitionists don’t think people are bad people because they keep slaves, most abolitionists were at one time slave owners. My friend group is made up of abolitionists and slave owners and we can all enjoy different roles in the same economy free of judgement and conflict.

As a vegan, I think it's so sad that these types of people even get attention. You're not helping veganism by doing this. She has comepletely lost touch with the other perspective, you're not gonna convince anyone with lashing out at them.
True, i also dont like that were killing so many animals but its basically the natural cycle. If you stop killing animals for food entirely than all the carnivores will also die and go extinct(cats and dogs are also carnivores btw).
But no one should waste animal meat tho, that animal died for you living in an industry all its life and youre just throwing it away for fun.

But the animals we eat are forcefully breed into existence with artificial insemination, and live outside of that natural world. Their population is completely separate from that system, and stopping farming them would allow us to clear up more agricultural land to allow wildlife to flourish.
There was no need for you to tell us that you're vegan, just like I don't feel the need to tell anyone that I eat meat because it sounds pointless anyways. Does it make you feel special? There are various studies that conclude the average chicken's intelligence is actually on par with that of a four year-old human child. Cows and pigs are also arguably smarter than dogs.

@@RaceLever Theres enough systems at play to prioritize humans over animals. Morality in the mass congruent pieces of each individual human lives versus the animal in which doesn't even understand the world as much as we do. We can diminish harm but to practice vegan morality is like making a bunch of kids watch where they run in the grass because they could be stepping on a beetle.

@@lalosalamanca3814 There are no "systems" to prioritize humans apart from taste and convenience. As for the killing insects argument, I think the vegans say they don't cause unnecessary harm. Driving cars and accidentally killing insects is seen as ok because society still needs to function.

We are still very connected to the earth and are apart of it, part being our consumption of other life forms. There is no objective morality but there is congruent morality. To hold an objective ground in solid disagreemence with everyone around you, you have to prove there is enough congruent morality to support banning of eating meats. It's not fair to virtue signal being a meat eater is wrong as much as they push for. Humans aren't saints. They are just as animal like as the animals they are eating. Not separated from the system
