Hi Willow! I'm a cis-hetero male in quite a conservative country. I had always had difficulty in finding articles/books to read about the LGBTQ community and feminism. But over the past couple of years, I have found ways to broaden my knowledge on these matters and they have changed my world-views and ideals(if that's the right term to use here). You are one of the reasons for that. I have received a lot of fantastic recommendations because of your channel and blog and thanks a lot for that. Hope you have a good day!🙂

I recommend Our Wives Under The Sea to everyone - whether they care for Lesbian novels or not. It is incredibly unsettling and introduces people to grief in a way that is very powerful. It took me weeks to recover emotionally. I don’t read books or watch movies that make me sad very often, but this one is worth it.

Just added 4 new books to my to-read list (I've already read Confessions of Frannie Langton) and I just know the rest of my list is mad that I'm going to ignore it in favor of these lovely recommendations 😪😪 I've been in a bit of a reading slump lately and I think that Our Wives Under the Sea (I loved Annihilation, and this synopsis reminds me vaguely of that) and/or Adventures of China Iron (I read excerpts of Martin Fierro, the gaucho novel that this book is an homage to/critique of during my degree) are just what I need to get me out of it, so thanks!

Thanks for the list! I've yet to be disappointed in one of your recommendations.
I'm very angry and sad today because the patriarchy won a major battle in the U.S. today with the Supreme Court stripping people with a uterus of their personhood and reproductive rights. One Justice made clear that same-sex relationships, same-sex marriage and contraception is next.
So I appreciate you using your channel to send out positive messages.

I’ve been watching the news closely and I’m so, so sorry. Fascism is on the rise here as well, with the policing bill effectively making most useful forms of public protest illegal. Our human rights are being stripped away on both sides of the pond.
