Being a young 7 y/o when he passed I wasn’t even close to comprehending Dre’s music from the start. As I’ve gotten older and understand what he was doing and what he was saying. Man people were telling me when I had my locks how much I looked and reminded them of Mac Dre. I always wanted to be original and had my own style. And I didn’t realize how much of a compliment that was. We were so similar and I am honored as all can be to have reminded people of such a legend. I learned about him when he passed. I thought he was just some gangsta rapper person. Had no clue he was a square bear Bay Area product of his environment. One of the most saddest things seeing a lack of originality in today’s world especially in the bay with the new identity it has. He was so ahead of his time and such a trend setter, he is the poster child for authentic original organic creative style and freedom of expression. Isn’t it obvious? This was his last interview for a reason. The interviewer either didn’t like him, was down wit 40 knew he was gonna die . One thing is clear.
