Alycia gave a very carefully, respectful and grateful answer to that question that so many were waiting for, almost since her amazing loving role as Lexa was killed in the show "The 100", 7 months ago.

The girl with the unexpectedly long name that has nothing to do with her profile pic Well cause Lexa was already losing a lot of blood and she is a nightblood so it will be difficult to get other noviciates’ nightblood cause in Polis they don’t have the proper tools. Lincoln didn’t lose any blood, he just went into cardiac arrest but they could still shock his heart to give it a jump start. And because Lexa’a wound came from a bullet, it would’ve been lodged in pretty deep making it hard to extract the bullet. And usually when shot by an arrow there is minimal bleeding because the arrow is still in place keeping everything else in place.

Alycia just didn't and still doesn't understand the impact LEXA had on people. The issue for me is she and Eliza never interacted with the fans on Social Media to see the impact during the 16 episode Lexa was on T1OO.
For example: Right Now there is the Supergirl couple ship "Sanvers"; both actresses are very much invested with the fans interacting and seeing the out pouring they are getting.
With Alycia and Eliza they never interacted with the CLEXA/Lexa fandom, then post 307 they stayed away for sure!
Eliza and Alycia were disconnected in that way; if they saw or maybe interacted a little more with fans during the time period of CLEXA both would have understood the impact overall.
petrinajc oh well i think Alycia now after that Comiccon Copenhagen she could really understand the impact. Yes she still a little bit shocked and try to figure out in her mind how Lexa became so important to so many. About not interacting with her fans, i can tell you this for sure cos i was there and i listening Alycia surprising many of her fans telling them that she know them on Twitter for example, kind of make everybody knows that she read and see EVERYTHING and that she is very grateful for them. Yes, she never reply to her fans or give almost likes to their post, but she do see them and know them. So i guess she did have an idea of the impact of Lexa, but nothing prepare her for what she experience in her first alone Comiccon as she did in Copenhagen.
Who the fuck cares? Everyone is different and just bc you think they didn't interacted doesn't mean they didn't care. Alycia for one is not a big social media fan, she is shy and not as comfortable as the "Sanvers" actresses. She is literally thrown into this who fandom shit and ya'll just expect her to be the LGBT icon you want her to be. Ya'll threw her into this image of "You played a lesbian so i expect you to know all about it" just fuck off. She is not in the LGBT she doesn't know what to do etc she already said that she think she has no right to talk about it bc if it. but she tried!! She talked about it and support it as much as she can and so does Eliza get your ignorant ass away from them. jay lee i agree with you in many aspects i also see Alycia & Eliza doing A LOT to support the fandom and the community and i think is great but what i dont accept is the huge pression some part of the fandom do over them. As you said they are both very very young and nearly starting in their carrers as actresses, no experience with impacts like this at all and in my eyes both are doing it AWESOME! Here is the issue with YOU STANS! People can't talk openly about Eliza or Alycia in anyway way shape or form without getting crap for it! I'm over it! I can speak freely about them if I chose to.
The thing is when YOU as an actor or actress play a character who is a minority in a country like the United States. You need to do your research; learn what playing a character that is a lesbian means. Learn the culture, learn the history. You can't say "i read the script and it was just there" being young doesn't give you a pass on being naive about certain issues. Alycia is a VERY smart girl, but she comes from a place were LGBTQ issues are not as massive like in America or other places.
She did say that she didn't feel she had the right to speak about the issue. Here is the thing; once you see the impact your character made based on the performance given. Go to your phone and computer and start doing some research and learn about it. Fast!
You can't ask Alycia questions in regards to Lexa as a lesbian because Alycia never saw Lexa as a lesbian but a woman. Which is fine; she should and a lot of people should. But at the end of the day Lexa is not JUST a woman. Alycia needs to understand the impact; to not understand the impact of Lexa's death even months later blows my mind. Even at this con she understood the surface of it and the trope. She hasn't gone in depth with it. The reason for this is because she wants to move on from the show and role.
If you look at her IMDB her "Known For" doesn't have T100/Lexa on it! Her team is making sure to separate Alycia from Lexa. This is a BIG thing to do.
So again don't come at me like a child and throw a fit. If you want to debate do it; do it like a calm person with facts to back up your claim. other then that! Have a good day.

Listen, I'm super late to this ship (and let me just acknowledge that it's such a terrible idea to fall in love with a ship KNOWING that one of the characters died almost THREE YEARS ago, but here I am, and I regret nothing). But I've seen this panel a few times in the past month, and watching this video, I noticed something for the first time and I don't see it mentioned in the comments. When Alycia puts her hands up to shield her eyes from the lights, she gives herself a raccoon mask, and I'm laughing so hard, which is a nice counterbalance to my other emotions. If you're watching this in 2019, I hope it helps to notice this.

I loved Lexa. But she's gone and I'm still watching the show, because this show is more to me than one character. Many Clexa-fans quit watching the show.. which is a huge disrespect to the whole cast and especially Eliza. If you really quit, it means this show is too good for you. And if I had older kids, I'd want them to watch The 100.

i stopped watching mainly because of lexa but let’s be honest here, Lincoln and Lexa died in not even a single episode from each other (they were two fan favorites) and season 3 had a HORRIBLE plot, half the time I didn’t even know what was going on. And lexa deserved a better death at least, Raven crashed on earth and didn’t have any major injury, but lexa gets shoot ONCE and dies, it didn’t even hit any of her major organs. That’s why most people stopped watching. Season 3 made no sense whatsoever and I stand by my decision of not wanting to watch it.
Yeah I still continued because with truly love the show and it has become one of my favorites

@Demo Gorgon Indeed, I've noticed that too in many TV shows, they can please the fans with gay relationships, but end them so fast without any particular reason and especially in a very cruel way for one of the two, which is pretty dumb, I mean I dont think Lexa's death was humiliating but it was surely unnecessary and stupid to get shot, especially by someone who doesnt use this type of weapon, besides I think season 3 was a disaster, thankfully I just watched the 4th one and its WAY better. Not as good as season 2 in my opinion though but its enough for me

I am not surprised that a lot of people who are not gay do not think what impact it has when a relationship between same sexes lead roles in mainstream series is portraid. It is ignorance. Only when they have relationships from close relatives it gets picked up On their radar. Being gay you are already happy when One of the 2 characters doesn't suddenly turn heterosexual, dies,... I do believe there is a difference between films, series in Europe & Us. In Europe in Some countries Sweden, Denmark, Norway even Belgium there is room for independent funded film, tv industry where Relationships are more portraid in a realistic way. I do believe there is more room for it know then 10 years ago. Doesn't everyone wants to Go and watch,... they can relate to? Travelling, getting to know other people certainly helps to brothen your horizon that is if you are open for difference 😀

Lexa did deserve better, no doubt. However to say "Love is Love" is not something I can see. The love for a Mom is not the same as Love for a brother, nor a Grandfather". Even the Greeks understood this and had 7 different words for the different kinds of love that exist. Saying "Love is Love" is oversimplified and can be very inaccurate. I shall still what has come before as it has been proven to be so across all time and cultures.
1. Eros: romantic, passionate love
Eros is passion, lust, pleasure. It’s an appreciation for one’s physical being or beauty, and is driven by attraction and sexual longing. It describes desire and obsession and is most similar to what we think of as romantic, passionate love between life partners. At least in the earlier stages of courtship, when everything is crazy-hot and you can’t get enough of each other, that is.
2. Philia: intimate, authentic friendship
Philia is characterized by intimacy, knowing, and soul-to-soul bonds. It’s encouraging, kind, and authentic; the stuff from which great friendship is made, regardless of whether it’s with a platonic best friend or a romantic partner. This love is also based in goodwill, or wanting what’s best for the other person. Philia is a connection akin to that of soul mates; it’s one part destiny, another part choice.
3. Ludus: playful, flirtatious love
