I feel bad for car enthusiasts in the states. The car market is so expensive even though it is so saturated. Here in Japan I can get a FD Rx-7 in ok condition for like $8k-$10k USD. In the states it's like $20k+ USD. Don't get me started on the skylines haha. Here my friend bought a r32 for $8k USD in the states they would go for a lot more.

My Man!.. I had a blue 2006 Infiniti G-35x sedan! With the peanut butter interior!.. it was an almost 300hp AWD monster! I LOVED my G35x.. I wish I never got rid of it.. I definitely think it's a fast lil car for the money!.. I did 144 mph on the highway and the front drive shaft (I think 🤔) broke off and smashed a fist size hole in my transfer case!

european stuff i feel is the new tuner you can get a 2006 mercedes c230 kompressor auto/manual for around 3k-5k mint thats 200hp or an older mercedes e430 thats 300hp for around 3-5k mint too because most mercedes owners were old rich people
The d16 civic need clutch, poly motor mounts, poly front lower control arm bushings, clutch, turbo kit, tune and full exhaust. A 250whp d16 delsol or hatchback is force.

For me depends on price, depends on year, mileage etc, like what year 5.0? Like a new one is 20k+ so I’d choose the Z because you can spend that money in upgrades and parts, if it’s an older 5.0 then I’d maybe go with the 5.0 but iv had a G35 and was super fun, both are very fun cars
You said Eclipse ended in 2011. Not quite correct as they did a 2012 model also. Not the high perf cars you are looking at building I know. But details matter.

dont get a neon srt 4 ive had one and it was a waste, the car is ok for what it is but all the cars are cheaply made and nobody took care of them so its not a wise choice to put money into them and it wont last
none of these are gonna sell for under 5k and if they do, you will be spending a ton of money fixing them up to be stable.

There are 3-4 MR2s in my local junkyards a few 1st and 2nd gens, but our junkyards don’t want to sell whole cars, only parts so it’s kinda wack

SRT4 are an amazing car, and super cheap to work on and fix, same motor as the turbo PT cruiser so parts are cheap, They are great
