Actually I'm surprised about how many product those stores in Japan managed to get. That's a good news. I'm starting to dream about a japanese style set collaborating with japanese artists.

I am surprised too! But I was even more surprised that after I done the teaching event at the store, the boxes sold out in 2 days!

Nice to see an update Haine! It's fun to get out there and spread the word. It's a great feeling to see players having fun, asking about how to get more into the game and stores picking up the product!!
    Great work man!

That was a fun video to watch. It was really interesting to see S:CR being played within a non-western culture, with good insights into how explaining the game can be adapted for those who don't have English has a first language. Good stuff!

Yeah, Japanese people really like the game. The fact that any culture find this game fun really shows how well Sorcery is designed as a game.

What a well organized video.💯 Thank you for the feedback regarding your events. Great ideas for those looking to hold LTPs. Could you elaborate on the cards in your teaching toolbox kit? Thanks Haine!

Thanks! My toolbox includes card that explains all the keyword abilities, region bound proximities, body of land/water, timeline, casting cost, spell types, triggered and static abilities, and different kind of artifacts. I have everything that can explain all the contents of the rulebook.

You've inspired me to do my own. My friend runs a card shop. I need to buy a bunch of precons and playmatts and make somerule books for them to take home. Idk when im going to do it, but i know im going to.

Great to hear you will be doing the same too! It's a lot of work but it feels rewarding when they return back on casual meeting!

This was so great, Haine. Love it.
Question. Are you providing the Beta booster boxes for draft?
Did you purchase a large quantity of booster boxes and pre-con decks prior to these events?
I've been wanting to start Learn to Play events as well but product is needed...and most in my community do not know about Sorcery.

Yes. At beta release, I bought lots of extra precons and boxes for this purpose. Most hardcore players like me bought boxes not to open them, but purely for draft purposes. I have a stockpile of boxes to use it on events.

Haine, around 4:40 you show examples of your lecture sessions and event spaces. Do you have a link to purchase the "half" mats shown in the event space sample image, or do you make those yourself? Also, I was in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka for the better part of a month earlier in the summer this year, I wish I had known if you were running an event, it would have been so cool to pop in!
Edit: never mind! I was too eager and you explained it literally a minute later in the video.

    • @wizardsden666

The mats were designed/printed by myself and it was printed in Japan. If you want to make it yourself, I have the data linked in the video description. I don't sell it overseas though, only Japan.
There is at at least one Sorcery event going around in Tokyo every month, so you can catch me again next time!

Hey, great video and effort for growing the community so far. We've been trying to grow the game locally in Malaysia, 1st thing that we would like to do is to print the single player playmat. I remember seeing one of the outlined solid black playmat in one of your videos. Could you have any chance to share that template / measurement to us? Thank you very much

Curious to know what cards you include in your 'teaching toolbox' deck. Is this something you can share (perhaps a curiosa decklink)? Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply, I had other stuff to do. I put a Curiosa link in the description for the Toolbox.
