For the plague riddens foul conduit if you look at it again it says Auto 100% 1/turn so it can only do that once per turn like some of your knights auto's. The armor point you gave to your interceptor isnt flat armor but an additional armor point for when they use their aegis shield. Be careful when putting points into your purgators because the abilities on the top and bottom left side of the tree are for different guns so just keep that in mind. Also yes Vakir can get injured if she gets smacked hard enough
you can always tell when you really get in to a game the videos just start popping up like mad but not that it's a bad thing I love this and Vakir is insane

Odd, you were fortunate not to have her wounded. I think if its just two points your good, but in future missions with her, you dont want to let her get wounded.
The reason you could move to the squares adjacent to the Plague Marines without getting attacked is because you didn't move outside of his zone of control. It seems very much like the D&D attack of opportunity, where as long as you are engaged, you can mover around them, but if you step further away from them, they get a chance to hit you.
The psisilencer, I dropped one with armor piercing and 6 ammo, and it's an absurd sniper, especially against the SPOILER unit with lots of armor and very low HP
@@nevetz845 Yeah, I have one with +4 damage to demons and +40% crit versus demons when upgraded so it does 10 damage to demons and with some skills and wargear it is sitting at 90% crit rate at all times when fighting demons
@@ChristopherOdd The Psilencer also has the Disrupt Shot ability when targeting units, which prevents enemies from using their Auto abilities. This is absolutely ESSENTIAL especially when going up against bosses and larger enemies, as many of their more dangerous abilities actually comes from Autos, and preventing them from using it for a turn makes dealing with them so much easier.
I got an armour or skill where I have a 50% chance to refund 1 ap on ranged shots and my lance cannon has 7 ammo. Best chain I managed was 6nshots. Very fun. But it's good for stopping overwatch and the priests channels
Really hope in future mission he remembers his strategems, dumps the smoke grenade, uses the environment even better and also does the leapfrogging when moving better.
When picking gear at the end of missions, the base stats on them can change too. Storm bolters base is 4 dmg, and the storm bolter on reward had 3 dmg but had 4 ammo (base is 3 ammo i think). All stats can change, dmg, range, ammo, HP, Armour etc. But the game doesnt show this well imo unless you memorize every weapon stat.
Yeah seems you need to keep manual track of what you already have and what the base stats are. Especially as having say 3 of the same weapon just different seems a waste of a requisition.

Chris, very important. On the Knight's ability tree, whenever you hover over a skill, the pop-up window in the center of the screen will show all abilities within that discipline. As an example: In "Eclipse Thule's" ability tree, hover over any of the 4 abilities to the bottom left, and you will discover the 'Rapid Reload' ability show on the pop-up in the center(MAIN ABILITY is always at the bottom). I dont think I've ever commented on your videos, but you're the only "Let's play"- Channel i watch anymore, so it hurts me to see you with so much knowledge of XCOM, and then miss-pronouncing ""**Om-knee-sigh-ah**"" Omnissiah! one thing i have found myself doing while i start playing, if i find a situation where i dont have much i can do, pop your aegis shield, get that armor stacked up for when the crap hits the fan..
I dont know if youve noticed yet, but if you overwatch in heavy cover, your knight steps out into the open to overwatch. But if in low cover, then the knight stays there to overwatch. I dont think its explained in game, but can be important.
Warp meter wise, the percentage you see is the current level, the curved bar under the number shows what it will be at the end of the turn, with the white part of the line showing the amount it will increase. Once it shows it going to 100% feel free to use wp as much as you like as you can only get max one surge per turn
Do your best to remember your strategem Odd, you've run into a couple situations so far where Quicksilver could have helped. The playthrough has been great so far though!
If you are in doubt about whether to buy an upgrade, save the Requisition and spend it with the Grandmaster to get even better options available later.
@@ChristopherOdd Some of the bosses under immune to afflictions part of the info card are immune to banish explicitly. So I thought it was an affliction. Clearly not :D.
@@allanpeter7700 Yes but there are some things that it says are immune to affliction, and it clarifies it as Banish amoungst other things. Like for example the boss in the eldar craftworld. The implication being that banish is then an affliction. When it is not. Either that or it should give the list for the plants instead of ALL.
I get that stun is a new thing for you, but you really need to do it more. A lot of enemies when they get stunned can be executed, which is a free ap for the whole squad. Don't hit weapons during crits on weaker enemies, stun then execute for the ap.
This is much less of a thing that it was when the game released, as the devs nerfed it a lot since then. You need something that deals a lot of extra stun to execute a lot now.
On the Justicar, would it not be a good option to give him the extra wargear slot? This way you could carry a skull and a grenade, if I understood that well.
So Odd, although I doubt you'll see this. How has the game been so far? Is it something you would see yourself consider playing regularly like XCOM, or is that too early to tell?
With xcom, I'm right with you thinking the same thing....but this game is a little frustrating to watch because I want you to do different things; be more aggressive, use natural hazards, use the physics more. That said, loving it.
I feel like you are overvaluing overwatches in general. I am finding overwatches are best when planning a trap or facing only melee units that are either outside range or at long to medium range
Yea, this isn't like XCOM where you can overwatch and kill half a pod with a single overwatch if you position well. I think you're better off literally being on top of the chaos gate, so you're at point blank engagement range when they come out of the gate.
@@c0horst And ontop of that you get free melee attacks in if they spawn in next to you and move and if you have a glaive then you have a chance to attack enemies that step into your melee range

Overwatches still work well in half cover though as you won't step out of half when you use it. I can't wait to see when you get into the second half of the campaign where you can have some nasty builds

You only get willpower on the extra surge if the planet is covered by a prognosticar, so keep that in mind.

You definitlety need to try the other heavy cannon, the psy one, I forget the name. It has a really long range when built into, like 17+

Most Autos like that Warp thing with the flyfaced priest has 1 activation per turn which can be seen in the description of the skill
