Dream plant Frideck ❤
All 6 or 7 of my Alocasia love PON. Excited to watch your Hoya journey
Beautiful ❤
Always nice to find another black plant content creator! Just gave you a follow to support the channel
I know Kevin from Hankulaplanta puts cuttings straight into Pon and his Hoyas are chef kiss. I am curious about Pon. Good video Pam 🧡🌿
@@angela86753 I am as well. I hope it works out. I’m testing it out before I buy any more.
He also uses a LOT of light.
Like at least 2000 foot candles. That allows the plant to root much easier.
@@jessicapetrin1655 That is a lot!
I have used a shot glass for small plants it helps
Pam just a lil suggestion for easy clean up-put a piece of paper under the vessel you’re potting then when ur done the mess will be on the paper then you can just pour excess back😊👍🏽
@@terrynorman1222 you know I usually use my repotting mat. I was being lazy I guess. Thanks for sharing the tip. I may use a piece of paper because it’s quicker to get too than my mat at times.
Hello Pam from PR!! I love pon for my Syngonium, Alocasia and most of my Hoya. It was a game changer for me and less watering chores 😊😊 I do make my Diy pon since it is pricey.
@@Plantlifewithnina Hi Nina! If this works out. I’ve been thinking of making my own as well. Thanks for watching.
Hey girl! I am just starting my own pon journey too! I have some kind of an alocasia, and some sort of either a cactus or Hoya or something, anyway, so far the alocasia is thriving and the other two are alive, I did do an equivalent to myco that I got from my local nursery. I found several glass vessels at several different sizes at the dollar tree. Just an FYI, be mindful that the larger the glass vessel the increases in weight you are putting on maybe a weaker surface because we are used to having soil and not thinking about that weight of rocks in our beginning pon journeys! I think you did everything perfectly and btw I have been using my same fertilizer water so far and no problems yet! Finally you’re right about if we grow we change and it’s usually all good in the end my friend! Lots of love ❤ Ginger
@@gingercaudill7219 Hi Ginger! Thank you for watching and sharing some great points to consider. ☺️
I always run my plant under water to remove soil and place directly into PON for my hoyas and other tropical plants. I also have my Peace lilly and I believe 6 different prayer plants in PON. Most recent is a Fiddle Leaf Fig that hates me. 😅 Today I noticed its getting a new groeth point.
@@gennybunner7825 . My original peace lily has been giving me problems. I may have to put her in Pon as well. Good luck with your fiddle. I’ve never had one in my collection but I’ve heard it can be tricky to grow.
Hi Pam. I just started using pon on a few of my smaller hoyas. I thought I'd test it out. I had them all in leca but decided to try some in the pon, some in coco coir, coco husk perlite mix. I'm watching to see which is the better substrate since all hoyas don't do as well in the same type substrate. Pon is expensive and I don't want to spend more money than I have to but if the smaller ones thrive better I'll just keep them in it. As you say patience is key and that's so true. Thanks for sharing as usual. Dee, NY
@@deeb2000 Hi Dee! Thanks for watching. Testing it out and patience is the goal. I figure I’ll have to wait anyway since we are entering the non growing season.
I love growing in my soil mix. I repot my plants at least once a year (sometimes more) because it's therapeutic. I did a great job fighting fungus gnats and other bugs for the past 2 years, but this year the fungus gnats came back with a vengeance. I've decided to transition my medium to small plants to pumice next spring.
@@theloftons8297 pumice is another great medium to use.
I will try it as soon as I can find son 39:03 39:04

What is the brand of pin do you buy and where do you buy it from. I don’t want to get the wrong thing
@@MsScorpio67 well I wanted to buy lechuza Pon, but the wait time was insane so I brought premixed from plantlife lex; an etsy seller.
It is pricey 😭
