Paul’s a good guy.
He is.
💯
For sure!
Yeah I appreciate him as you can tell he’s not a spoilt little rich boy. Works hard for what he has achieved.
And as much I am a fan of Sam, he's gotta reign in the shit he gives Paul - it's getting borderline condescending.
I don't really like supercars of London. But boy do I like Paul on the podcast!
Same here
Totally agree. Mind boggling how different "those two" characters are. It's as if this is grown up Paul and the one on his channel is stuck in time back in 2016 still doing what the kids did back then in an endless loop. And i'm saying that respectfully but in all honesty. He's just mature and chill and knowledgeble here. But hey, different crowds/targets, different tastes I guess?
@@duffyt26 stop talking lil bro
@@irs4486 er what does that mean?
Unnecessary comment
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m really enjoying Car Park Chat!
Really glad Tony acknowledged the intro to Sam's F-Type sendoff video. Those two minutes are some of the most spectacular RUclips auto content I've ever seen. Well done!!
Fair Play to lads for helping each other out filming their content 🤝.
The 3 of you together add a massive extra dynamic to the episodes
That bet is an insanely good idea for content. A series on this I think will do well. These 3 have great banter and finally see Tony "go flat out" would be fun. Sam and Tony please actually go through this. I feel like it'll be almost Top Gear vibes.
Please figure out a way to bring the F1 chat back to RUclips. I'd watch it even if it's 2weeks later than it was released
Fully agree 💯
They won't until Hamilton does well
Big loss not having it
Was thinking the same
Nah, F1 is a farce in so many ways it's hard to talk about with a straight face(s).
When I watched the f-type video the first thing I thought of was the top gear piece on the v12 vantage. Amazing work mate keep it up. I’m glad your inspired by the work of top gear from the same era I watched it. One of the main reasons I got into cars 👍
im sorry sam but you are wrong about this f1 thing. you wouldnt be within half a minute never mind less than 5 seconds
Not happy to find out the F1 broadcast is now exclusively on recast. Can't you repost it here even if it's a day or 2 later?
I don’t mind paying for it, but I hate having to deal with different platforms. Why not having it on a RUclips membership page?
@@Henning_I suspect RUclips as a platform isn’t that profitable. Google made quite a lot of wonky changes to the monetization system over the years
It's on Spotify lol
@@callummccubbing4506 no, it’s not. Just similarity named, but that’s not it
Best episodes are with Paul!
Deffinatly paul needs to be on this podcast aswell great episode
Conversation completely fell off when you started talking about non professional drivers getting in F1 cars
"Average punter walking down the street in his Fiat Panda" 😂😂😂
Sam you're wrong! Sometimes you have to hold your hands up and say no, actually Tony, you are right 🤣🤣
F1 cars are of a completely different level to Football
The whole f type piece was amazing Sam. Well done.
Some context…Copse @ Silverstone in my Caterham Academy 125bhp race car last year with crappy tyres is into the corner @ 109mph (depending on wind) and minimum speed point around 86mph 👍🏼 would love to see you guys out in similar machinery to see how you get on vs each other 😁
ADORE THIS BLOKEY FORMAT! WHAT WE NEED! FINE INTELLIGENT CHAPS!
The Roma Spider is absolutely gorgeous!! LOve that car!
This channel made me binge all 5 seasons of drive to survive on Netflix. Thank you for making me a new Fan of F1
What Tony said at start regarding start of Sam's F-type video. Totally agree with him million percent
What a great way to start the weekend, thanks lads
Think Sam is forgetting that both Hammond and Clarkson drove F1 cars on Top Gear back in the day and they stressed that even with professional trainer's there with them they struggled to get to grips with an F1 car and it was by chance more than anything that Clarkson managed to beat the Stig in an Ariel Atom on the Top Gear short circuit
Hey guys! Greetings from Romania! Transfagarasan is a beautiful road, but I would recommend going there only really early in the summer, or September - early October, as it is reaaaly busy during the summer. Sibiu and Brasov are some great places to visit/stay in (especially Brasov). I would also recommend Transalpina, maybe you could do both since they are not too far from each other.
Sam, please bring back After The Chequered Flag on RUclips.
Agreed
Absolutely not. All he will do is complain and moan until a brit is on top again. It's insufferable. Lewis dominates for 8 years and Sam is all about f1. Max wins 1 year and Sam is already claiming that F1 is a bore
Avg persons neck could never hold up more than a few laps. Even in a two seater open wheel ride-along most peoples necks would give out after a few laps.
PS, good to see Paul on the pod. Would love to see the 3 of you on here every week.
You’re talking from experience of driving a F1 car very very slowly for a few laps… It’s a totally different thing and you’re entirely deluded Sam. As for being able to turn pro at golf after one year of practice… even more delusional. 😂
I was about to say that about the F1 topic😅
He's becoming some what arrogant and unlikable
Great content Sam, don’t underestimate a Formula One driver though .
You guys can keep Paul here and there good lad.
Tony: are you well? Paul: no! 😂😂😂😂
I know Sam is being nice in trying to convince Tony he could understand the feeling of F1 drivers and be close to the back drivers in F1 but his argument is ridiculous. These guys have been training since they were kids and Sam is saying 10 laps and a simulator will get you close to them??? Come on!
Your F-Type will sell in a second. Best spec I've seen
On the question of what sport would you be best at if you trained for everyday; this question was answered in terms of Olympic sports. Apparently archery is something that they consider the quickest to get up to your peak at, with a training time of about 2 years until Olympian level.
F1 drivers are probably on par with fighter pilots in terms of reactions, concentration and ability. 15 - 30 seconds down per lap is huge. Bit like running the 100 metres in 12 seconds.
Please have a guest most weeks, it dilutes tony talking out his arse for most of it.
"How fast would an average person be in an F1 car?" They'd crash.
They wouldn’t get outta the pits
@@natbarron They'd stall in the garage.
About the F1 topic I agree withe Sam. Last year french F1 journalist (Julien Fébreau) drove an Alpine A521 (2021) in Monza. Before the test he had a training in the team’s sim at the factory and tried the same Lotus E20 as Sam at Paul Ricard for 3 laps, so not that much training after all. For the test in Monza he did auround 10 laps and was 6 seconds away from Ocon and he was as quick as Piastri in T1. So it is possible !
when you did the video on the jag i did think it was like and as good as the clarkson v12 vantage send of
Jags give you a warmth that the 911 just can’t. And the engine is solid and it’s better value.
Sam the Transfagarasan road is in disrepair at this time, I recommend the Transalpina which is in better condition, it's longer and more pleasant to drive.
These episodes need to be at least 2 hours!
This F1 bet has to happen and be a Behind the glass exclusive!!
Very interesting debate, I think there are very big differences between; practice, aptitude, skill which is all needed for any professional level sportsperson. The big missing element for almost everyone, but not the 0.00001% of the elite is....TALENT.
Do the yearly Monaco roadtrip please!!!
In a year, you could probably do 2000 or so hours training. All elite sports typically talk about needing 10,000 plus top level training to achieve a professional level.
The F1 drivers are racing since kids, you wouldn't even come close mate sorry. But we'd still cheer you on 😂
Great episode guys. Really enjoyed this one.
Hey Sam erm very scary subject!. But I was wondering if you guys could just do a small segment on encouraging guys to check themselves!. I literally thank god and know I’m very lucky that the lump I felt the doctor confirmed to be a cyst!. But it made me realise how important it is and just you guys saying guys check it’s important can really help reduce that embarrassing feeling!. Forgot sorry of course I’m talking of testicular cancer!.
Doesn't matter whether it's football or F1, an experienced amateur is far closer to someone with no experience than a professional. The gulf between amateur and professional sportsmen in any field is difficult to overstate.
Tony.. Vegetables.. as thats so posh haha brilliant...
This is the argument about knowing about something vs knowing something. Sam knows about driving in an F1 car at HIS pace (not Lewis) but he has no clue what F1 is like at a pro pace, 0 clue. no offense mate.
Please do the F1 experience with Tony!
Agreed the f type video was absolutely stunning. 👌
Car park chat with a bit of structure works well. For a podcast just need to be careful taking turns talking. But like it !
Sam's rational this week re F1 vs football is drivel 😂
Sam is some what deluded regarding being competitive in an F1 car. Tony speaks sense. F1 drivers are some of the fittest people in sport. Sam couldn't run to catch a bus 🙂
Can we get the f1 pod with paul here too.
Paul gets portrayed as the bimbo. But he’s actually super knowledgeable and articulate when it comes to cars. Whereas Sam just waffles and is nothing without google searches. Tony is a legend and should start his own RUclips channel.
Facts.
I honestly appreciate the content especially the effort that goes into the videos. The recent Ftype vid and fuel vid are a testament to that…
but when it comes to being knowledgeable and articulate, Paul is understatedly levels above Sam who does Google a lot on the spot.
1.967 height (110 Defender).....most of the multi story carparks around here are 1.8 max height.
Imagine the difficulty if you spec a roof rack as well!
I’m hearing an F-Type R v Vantage video on the main channel! Maybe throw in the AMG GT for good measure
Tony’s opinions baffle me sometimes 😂😂 … the Porsche sport classic! Exactly why wouldn’t you! It feels like T likes the characterless / easiest cars to drive 🙊
Make Paul a permanent guest
Loved this episode - had a good laugh!!
Tony: "Jake Paul."
Sam: "Is he? Is he? No, but like, is he?"
😅😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Color me surprised, I thought with that beak, Paul was a boxer
F1 on recast is a pile of pooo 😮
Haven't watched it their miss it here
Proper banter here. 😂
So THAT'S where "After the checkered flag" went off to! I see. Guess i'll sit out. Have enough weird apps and platforms and accounts for many many things. :/
“Wow there good, that was a lot” was so fucking British 😂😂😂 - American
Sorry mates but no way you can match an F1 driver within 5 seconds in a week maybe a lap and 5 seconds 😅
42:30 no way would you be within 3 seconds of a proper f1 driver in the same car. Get yourself a fanatec wheel, a ps5, Gran Turismo 7 and see how quick you are online compared to the top guys.
These episodes are hilarious
Eddie the Eagle 😮
Come on Sam, 40 seconds off?!? In professional karting if you are 0.5s offf you won’t even start top 20.
Tony is right....
love these
For someone apparently so rich Tony didn’t like hearing the £17k bet hahaha 🤣
Would you ?
Behind the glass race team on the cards?
Sam's on glue, no chance 5 sec's
Ferrari have taken the Roma, their prettiest car for decades and turned it into a munter. Great man car park chat episode.
Forget the F1 car but do the top gear 24hr race with all 3 of you in a m3 or similiar
Ski Jumping! Ask Eddie the eagle!
Please come to Bulgaria
I define beeing pro in any sport as when that is all you do for a living.
Hey guys can you watch after the checked flag on you tube still?
I wanna see the manual gearbox on the roof 😂😂😂
Lookin like a train conductor in a car lol
Bromley - 9th in the Premier League!!
NHRA top fuel drag racing
Given a year and 200 passes in that year.
Sam's like a little brat that has to get his way and his point across, and no one else is right
High IQ conversation.
Bring back the cars lads, please...
Carpark chat is literally once a month dog. Dont like it then dont listen. Dont try to get it off at least, many like me love and enjoy these the most!
@@harvinmahal are you suggesting I should not give my honest feedback?
@@BubuBarong im saying its not a big deal that this ONCE A MONTH episode is not fully car focused as theres three pretty focused podcasts in the month. You gave your opinion you don’t like it, i gave mine that i love it.
@@harvinmahal great! They'll sort it out accordingly, then (if they just read the comments LOL). Cheers from Italy
@@BubuBarong sort out what? 🤣 cheers from Antarctica
PINK CUSTARD !
Poor Tony... It's not what an F1 car is capable of or even Tony's driving capability... instead, it's about the effects on the body caused by G forces, etc... which with respect Sam with the lap times you produce you may not of experience fully...
Incredible as always. Love your podcast, whilst you speak a lot of rubbish, Tony, there isn’t another podcast with the incredible banter and rapport you all have together not seen since the original Top Gear 3. Now Fred’s left Top Gear, would be great to get you all on as replacements if traditional TV is your bag!
You’d never be able to play a match with Messi for 90 minutes though haha which was your argument about driving an F1 car for 50 laps? I’m with Sam, in both instances yes you can kick a ball with Messi just like yes if you can drive you can get an F1 car around a lap with a bit of practise. The lap time wouldn’t matter because it’s as inconsequential as thinking you could actually get close to Messi on full chat? Does that make sense?
You have absolutely no chance to even come close to 10 Sec to an F1 Driver. Not even 5 sec to a proffesional Porsche Cup Driver in a Gt3 Cup. Try and see…
The Ferrari is absolutely stunning car
Not with Sam now hahaha within 5s of back of F1 grid. Not a chance. We can’t get within 3 seconds of the top 10 lap times on GT7! Not a chance. Even with all that practise. You would need way more than ten laps in the F1. Also Tony would need to be in the gym for at least 6 months prior too. He’d be battered trying to do 10 flat out laps.
One of the biggest factors in racing vs many other elite sports such as football is money, it's no coincidence that 95% of the current F1 grid come from a very privileged background. The drivers, whilst talented, have been afforded more opportunities in life growing up to get to that position.
Wait a minute, you're saying that a racing vehicle is more expensive than a ball?
@@RAZGR1Z No, I'm saying it's infinitely more difficult to become a professional football player for example as it is talent alone that gets you there whereas you can buy your way to the top in racing, think Nikita Mazepin.
