- Salutations friends! I had a little trip to my nearest TJ Maxx today, and I decided to pick up some Le Monde Gourmand fragrances and body mists. These are exclusively sold at Urban Outfitters and are relatively affordably priced! so I wanted to share my first initial impressions of them with you!

Chai Eclair is one of my all time favorites- ever. I have never been a huge white floral lover but am starting to like them over others, like even peony, which I never thought would ever happen. The Ru du jasmine (or whatever the name) smells really good- not crisp or soapy (Nemat Jasmine Blossom). It took a minute for Ambre Etole to grow on me and not be too strong. Le Soda pop is great and mixes with cherry ones - it’s similar to Du jasmine on the dry down.
Vanilla mousse is awesome, a little weak but good for layering (the names for some have changed, like chai eclair is chai Epice, so I hope they smell the same). Other loves - Appletini, Mia Biel, Santal Supreme, Açaí Bae. I’m sure I spelled some wrong and forgot some. I just got Fleur Monoi today and hope it’s good. I (again) just started liking things like gardenia - those florals used to repulse me.
Different brand, but I got Sun-kissed Sea Salt and Pistachio Delight - can’t decide if I love sea salt enough to keep - I love Skylar Salt Air but sunkissed is not as smooth to me- it can smell minty on my shirt (depends on what else I’m wearing) and it’s a little screechy, but better when it mellows out - have you smelled it? Also, Pistachio reminds me of Praline and Pistachio (TJ Maxx) but not as sweet (I’m terrible at describing or picking out specific notes) - anyway some people might think it’s cheap but it has the chai eclair vibe I like - and ironically I don’t love the dupes of Kayali Pistachio Yum (it’s floral with citrus to me), but it’s better layered with Pistachio Dream - they balance out each other and it elevated the “cheaper” smelling Delight one.
I swear, the Chocolat hazelnut is a dupe for Replica's by the fireplace. A bit less smokey, but otherwise the same, with more staying power.

I have loved Oud Sahara since the days when I considered UO perfumes high end. My friend had it and I still spray hers every time I go over. She bought me the oil bc the perfume was discontinued but I dont like the oil as much 😢
I bought Chocolat Hazelnut last summer… I have used it so many times… love the scent and just yesterday realized why I liked this fragrance so much. It smells EXACTLY like By The Fireplace from Replica, I can’t believe I just realized this. I just came to RUclips to see if anyone also had realized this.
I have it too and thank goodness don’t have to shell out for by the fireplace. Clinique has one called Cookies and cashmere? I think - it’s in a yellow bottle, and it smells smoky like BTF - people get upset because it’s not a gourmand - I always get the little bottles on sale, then sometimes have extra % off for ordering online and picking up in store (Ulta) and I got 5X points- score!
Just got Oud Sahara. It is all gourmand to me. If you ever had cardamom flavored desserts you can really tell. Reminds me of the pastries my mom used to make in early spring. Funny thing I actually got this bottle from my parents house. They used it as a toilet pray 😂 but I smelled it an fell in love with it. I am wearing it today and it’s delicious.
Darn it I didn’t smell any of that - initial whiff was a yuck to me, but I like what you’re describing. Maybe I should have tried it on my skin.
Sahara smells so much more warm and slightly more vanilla-y on my skin than it does in the bottle. I actually like it more on my skin.
Ugh - I had it in my hand at TJ Maxx and put it back from sniffing the bottle - it was really strong - but I love the idea of how you are describing it.
To me, chocolate hazelnut is an exact dupe to Masion Margiela by the fireplace. To smell both side by side id never know the difference
I think it's a bit less smokey and has more staying power than by the fireplace, but I noticed that too. Going to try to find more of these.
It's so weird how everyone's skin chemistry is different. The Chocolat Hazelnut does not smell like chocolate or hazelnut on me, it smells like smoke and wood (still good though). Oud Sahara smells exactly like Al-rehab's Sultan Al Oud. Macaron Rose' smelled like fresh, green rose at first and then morphed into a light vetiver men's cologne (very weird).

What was the one called after the chocolate hazelnut and before oud sahara? I don’t think you said the name.

It’s one of my favorite perfumes all around. Try layering it with something like English Laundry Pink Brilliance , or something similar - I can’t tell you why I had a feeling they would mix well, but they do.

I guess you can tell how long I’ve been purchasing them. I used to purchase online. Now i buy whenever i see in Marshall’s and tj maxx.
How is the Pistachio Brulee? I have to admit that one got me very interested
@@BeautyMeow i love that one. That’s the first one i purchased. It smells like the bum bum cream. Have you smelled the Trader Joe’s Brazil Nut body butter. Thats how it smells.
Is the Pistachio Brulee long lasting? I want to try the dragon fruit mist as well
@@shereserandall809 i can smell it on me about 4 hours. But i can smell it on my clothes the next day. But i first saw a RUclipsr talk about it about 5 yrs ago and she said it last about 6 hrs.
But for me i like reapplying.
I have several but have never seen some yet (like the banana or pistachio ones). Regret not buying the pumpkin one - just literally set down Oud Sahara and Dragon fruit one - should have tried them on. The dragon fruit had a strange undertone I can’t describe - sort of like black currant (sickening sweet?). I have vanilla mousse and hope it’s the same as vanilla creme. Love chai Epice.

Find the body mists to be a wee bit better with longevity but not by a whole lot.
It lasts forever I keep these in my beach bags and gym bags to refresh
The chai spice just did not linger on my skin. At all. I had to return it much to my distress.
Yes the EDP didn’t last but the mist did it’s very strange
