FYI even USA tourists and immigrants departments confirmed that "Asian" category includes Indian subcontinent as well. Now what are you gonna say? That brown South Asian people are the same ethnicity as Chinese?
PLUS even East Asians are of DIFFERENT ethnicities. They might look the same mono lidded (mostly) to western people but they're not the same ethnicities.
Now, what about SEA?? Many of them share some features with East Asia as well but many don't look like them at all.
Asian is not an ethnicity, its just a regional thing. Like how European is not an ethnicity, but a region.
