- Finally installing solar panels and batteries.
12v system, 2 x 200watt panels, 3 100ah agm batteries,
Upgradable for sure.
We are using 6x6 square cedar log and we are building a cabin from start.
This will be primitive cabin , no ac but will be heated by a cubic grizzly wood stove , Lighted by propane / oil lamps. Powered by the sun
Pretty well worth it to have two inverters. I use a 60 watt inverter (75 peak) that uses approx. 120 milliamps at idle for lights and charging various items which stays on 24/7 with minimal power losses. I also run a 500watt (700 peak) inverter that uses about 750 milliamps at idle for a fridge which only runs during the day when I'm at camp. I also have a 1500 watt inverter that uses over 1 amp at idle that is barely used but have incase I need it for more demanding appliances like a slow cooker.
Just a PSA for anyone looking to cut phantom power losses. Not all inverters are the same.
Looks good! Nice to have power, you can put the batteries inside. Those are sealed , I have the same ones.
you dont need a fuse on the neg as well but i would also put one on battery pos
Going to need 2 more panels . I have a 400 w system myself . I got the same equipment too.
Great job!
Those are really nice 6x6 logs. Where did you find those? I use 4x4s for my raised beds but they're almost $20 each. O_O Also, where did you buy your fuses? I'm shopping for some now. Thanks!
What size cables did you use?
Like the cabin did you do a video of building it?

if you can run everything low voltage try and stay away from stepping voltage up as much as you can as this wastes alot of energy
Great info here, been working on my system, seen thousands of varibles and found that epever 30amp controller is perfect after I calibrate the MT-50 meter for my lithum 48v system , I'm running 2 x 180 watt mono panels in serries 360 watts producing 43.4 volts incomming.. The inverter is not decided yet, even though I like the one you selected, How is that inverter powering your items as far as a slight decrease of power compared to pure sinewave converter, I am only running an ocassional bench grinder & a fan in my garage and running battery chargers for my cordless tools.
Cool tattoo .
Series bro. Put them 8n series
Great job!
