You forgot 2 recent points :
-the vision of Eisenhorn in Magos. A vision of a man with 18 man and one girls.
-the second is the mysterious saint in plague war, a saint named anathem by a demon.
In regards to Plague War I only managed to read that after I had done this video xD
I say that just for complete your excelent vidéo Inquisitor Remleiz.
The ''Anathema'' refers to the Emperor. That's how the Daemons call him, and in Plague Wars, the Living Saint is controlled by the Emperor himself, hence why they call her the ''Anathema'' because they can sense the Emperor within her.
Celestine for exemple was never called like this.
@@quelric3297 Celestine story is far different, she had powers granted to her by the Emperor, while the girl in Plague Wars is a host to the Emperor's spirit, that's the difference.
Also, Celestine died in combat but if she hadn't, she would've been immortal.
The Living Saint in Plague Wars is slowly dieing because of the immensity of the Emperor's spirit within her, she's basically possessed by the Emperor, instead of empowered like Celestine was.
You know, the more I think about it, the more I think that the Emperor IS humanity.
He embodies our greatest successes and characteristics, along with our struggles and, one could possibly say, our flaws. One's goodness shines brighter when compared to one's sins. It shines brighter when compared to darkness than other lights. And that to me is the Emperor.
Yes, 40K is a work of fiction, but it is beautiful and thought provoking.
The more I read the novels, the more I am convinced that the universe is speaking through the writers and leaking reflective details of what is in actuality going on in reality. There is so much historical and esoteric knowledge incorporated into these works that it is almost impossible to ignore it. If you know anything about esoterica you know that it has a way of signaling its presence by "coincidence" or synchronicity.
The More i learn about this universe the more I'm fascinated with the lore the horror and the War

New 40k theories video: "REAL SH!T?"
I am convinced that there is some kind of warp god of the emperor. Be it the actual emperor, the star child, or a gerstalt of the beliefs of the imperium.
Because the chaos gods get a second hand kind of devotion, for example, most people who fight do not do it for khorne. The emperor however gets devotion shot straight into its bloodstream
well, it would be more cartilage than blood.
Good old 'gerstalt'.
@The God Emperor fucking Lorgar was right all along

The Space Corgis.
Kitten is the savior of humanity and the Imperium. Not only has he helped bring the Emperor back into direct communication with His Imperium, but he defeated the Chaos God of fate, plots, and bullshit at his own demonic game.
Since 40K draws so much from Catholicism, I will propose this:
There is what is left of the Emperor, in his throne.
There is the Star Child, which is the humanity that the Emperor expelled from himself in order to destroy Horus.
Then there is the manifestation of the *idea* of him, from countless humans believing in him.
The Father, The Son, The Holy Ghost.

I think you missed out an important point. The Living Saints, the Sanginor and the Legion of the Damned have all been speculated to be daemons, for lack of a better term.
What if they are Daemons of the Star Child, much like a Bloodthirster is a daemon to Khorne.
Actually, the Legion of the Damned are supposedly created from a Chaos plague. The serve the Emperor because they remember their duty as Astartes, not because they are true daemons.
I agree with you, im pretty sure they are just examples of the chaos version of big E Sigmaring himself a new army out of those he deems worthy.
Robert, during the Fall of Cadia, the Legion of the Damned faded from existence along with Celestine's power when the Necron pylons were reactivated and began suppressing the Eye of Terror along with all other Warp phenomena. This can leave no doubt that the Legion's creed would be "Even in death, duty does not end."

Does this mean, that before the emps removed his love and affection, he actually loved the primarchs, so what Guilliman stared upon was really a emotionless husk, not the father that loved him? If this theory was real
The Emperor must have „loved“ them, I always felt it was wrong that they changed him from viewing the Primarchs as Sons to viewing them as Tools, because if he view them as tools it would make no sense that he hesitated to kill Horus.
@@Swiss_femboy the Emperor hesitated to bring his full on battle to his son Horus, but saw the slain son Sanguinius (hallowed be his name) and ripped his emotions from himself to psyker kill Horus. I believe the star child is that bit of the Emperor to make him whole once more.
@@AzrealMaximus Newbie to the lore, so this may be obvious, but: Would that mean conceivably, if you could somehow drag the Starchild out of the Warp and reunite it with the Emperor on the throne, he would be "complete" enough to actually start recovering from his injuries instead of being kept barely alive by the Golden Throne, instead of needing the Emperor to die to fully empower the Starchild's apotheosis?
@@Swiss_femboy Couldn't it be a case of both? He mostly saw the Primarchs as tools, but also felt affection and even love for some or all of them to varying degrees. And he seems to have some affection for humanity, too, but also contempt for and lack of understanding of much of what actually *makes* us human. Like our emotions.
Noob here. Is the "Emperor removing part of his humanity" schtick canon?
So, the emperor removed all kindness and good from his heart. That explained why he was a ass to Papa smurf. But the “Goodness” in him has started to help the Imperium through Miracles and Saints. Throne on Earth, that’s a lot of problems to fix.
The God resides on earth on his cold golden Throne,
The man resides in heaven within the warmth of human compassion.
See what they do alone.
Imagine what they'd be united.
16:22 My understanding was that this was Guilliman speaking to him. Hence the “I was once, almost, for my sins”, referring to him nearly being declared emperor during the imperium secundus.
The figure asking him if his duty was ended was essentially Guilliman seeing if he was suitable for internment in the dreadnought casket - Guilliman not being the type of commander to do such a thing without first assessing the candidate.
An interesting counterpoint, I will admit ^^
Though it doesn't quite explain the aura of golden light and angelic choirs, but yes it is admittedly feasible :)
40K Theories Good point, think I had glossed over the choir and halo rather than stopping to think through the possible implications. It is interesting to think about in context of the fact that Primarch are described as having a nearly oppressive presence (take the clone of Fulgrim, for example), like the Emperor, but on a lower magnitude.
With the fact that the warp was almost certainly used by the Emperor in the Primarch project, maybe both could be true?
As much as he would hate the idea, maybe Guilliman can be used as a psychic channel by the Emperor/star child?
Anyway, thanks for the video, top-notch as always!
I was thinking the same thing.
40K Theories that could be a hallucination, considering that Cassian was mortally wounded and had probably lost considerable amounts of blood.
The aura of light could be : psychic light emanating from papa smurf or the light of a medical table.
As for the choirs: space marines, especially cult members, often cosider themselves as paladins... It wouldn't be odd if theyd had choirs sing in the background of an operating room of wounded space marines..
I think the Emperor doesn't really want this apotheosis- after all, he's proclaimed repeatedly that he's not a god and even told Lorgar he didn't approve of the Lectitio Divinitatus that has served as the basis for the Imperial cult ever since the end of the Horus Heresy. But if it does come to Emps carking it and what's left of him merging with the Starchild, then yes he might not be too keen on the apotheosis, but things rarely go the way anyone wants them to in 40k. The Emperor might not become a Chaos God, though, but all the deities left over after Slaanesh came along are all playing their own games and he could get caught up in them, sadly enough, if he doesn't outplay them first.
...hang on, that's the Inquisition knocking.
ClockworkFreya Nobody expects the Imperial Inquisition!!!!! Our two weapons are fear and surprise!!! Fear and surprise and a fanatical devotion to the emperor, three things!!!!
I think, you speak of heresies by insinuating that they are gods. Nothing more than entities to be slayed for the glory of the Imperium.
maybe in 10 thousang years he decided to take that apotheosis . .
ClockworkFreya Man, he’s gonna beat the hell out of Lorgar once all is said and done. That public humiliation at his greatest city is going to look like a gentle swipe on the hands after he’s done with him right here.
Choir boy better hide his buttcheeks, cause that ass whopping gon’ be biblical.
I think he didn't want it initially, but has since realized that his ascendacy is now the best possible route left to achieve his goal. Which is probably why he's quite happy about Guilliman being back.
Khorne: Oh, it's you, big E.
(Makes a place for him to sit.)

What if thay psychic blast did not destroy Horus but PURIFIED him? God emperor the irony if he returns and Saves humanity from chaos. 😀
Bruh that would be the ultimate plot twist, that it was actually a purified Horus all along

“Once. Almost, for my sins.”
He was the emperor once. For his sins, he is paying for them by being in pain as a corpse, not really complete as the emperor, but he will soon die and be reborn. Hence the “almost” he revealed, meaning he will soon become the emperor once again.
I'm curious of what will happen when the book series gets to that point. It seems a bit odd now the idea that the Emperor was too attached to Horus. Like a parent, when the books show that the Emperor doesn't actually think of the Primarchs as children but as tools.
TearDownGenesis I think it was just an excuse to cover up the Emperor being weaker than Exalted Horus. Or the Emperor could have had a crisis of conscience at the worst of moments. After all, he did raise Horus, unlike his other sons.
@Zach cash I believe the part I'm thinking of was how he viewed Girlyman
Or there's the get-out-of-jail-free claim that "All Black Library works are of questionable canonicity", meaning the Emperor could be a doting dad or just an Oscar-worthy puppet-master.
Old Golden Bollocks told that Tech Priest who was assisting him on operating on Angron back in Master of Mankind that he just saw the Primarchs as tools.
However, that was what he said. The Emperor lied.
Add to that, that Arkhan Land himself expected this answer from the Emperor since he deemed him the Omnissiah, and Emp needed the rest of the Mechanicum to play along.
The Imperium has worshipped the emperor for millennium and given how the warp reacts to worship the star child most likely exists as a minor chaos god slowly gaining power. Well the inquisition has found me.
@Woogoo Gaming you would have to bring army if you want to kill me inquisitor
I love how all the lore and history of the Warhammer 40k universe is so vast but also intentionally ambiguous. It just keeps growing as new officially recognized contributors add to it. @@logandelaharpe6362 he would bitch slap him for splitting up the imperium's forces like the last imperium butter on a galactic loaf of bread.
I often thought about this idea if the Star Child is all of the emperor's love, and then speaks to Guilliman then this would probably make Guilli believe in his father ones more maybe even as a god
This is interesting ... if its true about the expelling of those warmer parts ... it would reconcile the issues a lot of people have with Guilliman descriptions of the Emperor in the newer books .... claiming that they are changing Big E ... as he did care and love his sons ..... but with this that can be true as well as Guillimans descriptions as the Emperor before being shattered did care and love his sons but did not let if it prevent him from doing what he thought was necessary until his confrontation with Horus .... but what remains on the Golden Throne only has the devotion, duty, ambition, drive etc. of the Emperor .. what you would call not necessarily negative but colder aspects of his personality ...

id like to point out a mind blown: the entity the primaris spoke too in death said "once; nearly; foolishly" the emperor didnt foolishly plan anything, and he was the emperor not trying to become one. so plot twist boys n girls. that is horus. horus born anew by his fathers love, a different horus, a new one more powerful then his father before him. who has spent an entire age of men within the ether likely cradled in his fathers spirit merging with it and becoming something new entirely.
this merging is why he also says once. the emperor is part of him, but only in so far. and that this entity will come to the land of the living and destroy lorgar as he tries to corrupt the imperiums faith in order to establish a new church. the emperor makes no mistakes, he wanted horus warmaster, he wanted him his successor not another one of his brothers.
so the emperor decided to give his favorite son a second chance. this time by actually being a father?

I believe the Star Child is, in fact, the compassionate shard of the Emperor and is coalescing in the Immaterium to become the true God-Emperor thanks to the adoring masses of the faithful. Simultaneously the Tau God of the Greater Good is forming, while surviving Eldar deities await the maturity of these newborn deities. The outcome, I believe, will result in a pantheon of Light and Order directly opposing the lords of Chaos and Darkness. Hopefully this will herald the dawn of a new age of GW leadership that recognizes that their products are too expensive and their codices need to be combined under broader categories like Forces of the Imperium, and Forces of Chaos. Last time I checked. Fyodor was the host body of the Star Child and was on his way to the realm of the Dark Elder.
Yes
The Star Child turns out to be Emps' shard of compassion and he possessed Fyodor as his new host.
You forgot the possibility that age of Sigmar has become bound to the 41st millenium's universe and is in fact within the warp now.
That the Emperor held back against Horus has always been one of my strongest arguments against what Guilliman experienced when he came back, the argument being that after 10.000 years of suffering and seeing his dreams die he just wasn't ready to exude feelings of fatherly love, even if he felt them deep down. Then someone made the argument that if it truly is Ollanius Pius that dies, maybe the emperor had kind of given up this reality (refering to "the emperor being a multiverse-being and each reality is an experiment to find the right way"-theory) and half arsing it through the fight, but when he saw the perpetual Pius die he realized that Horus could give him a "real" death and that why he went all out to win.
Now I'm even more disillusioned, but it fits the grimdark too well to not make sense.
I love the good quality of your videos
I like to believe that the old ones, the chaos gods and the Emperor are the in-game manifestations of GW. So, in a sense, creatures in wh40k interacting with those beings were interacting with their creators and thus breaking the fourth wall.
What if 40k theories was the star child 🤔
He would be reborn as the Emperor made entirely out of cyberdongs
nice..... but most importantly Magnus did nothing wrong
Yes Magnus did nothing wrong. It was all logars fault
Ahzek Ahriman Lorgar did nothing wrong! Istvaan/Isstvan/Isstvaan* was an inside job!
*i have no clue how it's spelled.
@@lioneljonson8556 yea....is it emperor's fault :)
Logar told the furry boys to distory my legion so everything is his fault

3:04 and there is the answer as to why he treated Guilliman so coldly upon his return in the latest novels.
I think that the Emperor's staunch opposition to any kind of religious cult around worshipping him might have had the main purpose to prevent the forming of exactly such an entity in the Warp. Such an entity might probably be completely autonomous from the Emperor and might wield considerable power, creating one problem more for the Emperor to manage. Complete and automatic alignment with the Emperor's goals and wishes would not be a given.
On the other hand, the thought is intriguing that in his present state the Emperor might even welcome the forming of such an independent entity because it might somehow allow him to return from his present state, for example by usurping the entity's powers in the Warp and ascending to a new level of might. That way, somewhat ironically, the billions and trillions of people worshipping the Emperor for 10 millennia against his wishes might still have contributed something worthwhile to his great plan.
I love the narration at the end about the dream Casien had. That narrator is fantastic
Hey, Here's an idea- are Ynnead and the star child linked in some way, like say that they are one and the same or that the eldar god of the dead is actually using the starchild as a sort of foundation to come into existence?
Your elaboration is downright beautifully crafted, my good sir! I can only hope that this is theoey is proven correct in the long run!
For the Savior of Man to rise, Terra must be sacrificed.
Let the Golden throne fail.
Let the Billions of lives on Terra be consumed by the warp.
And from the ashes, the great Savior of man shall be born!

40K ''due to the fact'' Theories
My question is if the chaos are so powerful how have they not already won, where are the gods of order that protected and shielded the universe?
David Schmidt
because they are no unified. They fight each other as much as they fight mankind.
They *can't* 'win.' Not in the sense of pulling all of the materium into the rift or turning all sentient life into meat puppets or whatever seems like the current goal. Without thoughts and emotions generated in the materium, Chaos would starve. What Chaos *can* do, though, is keep the materium unbalanced and full of the yummiest emotions. Which they're succeeding at just fine.
My personal head cannon is that the star child is the emperors humanity his sole weakness, he exorcised it after he realized he couldn't bring himself to kill horus with it in him.
Eldar and humanity are somehow linked with this star child. Aldo, I hate to say we have anything in common with Mon-keigh pains me.
But here are some of my theories.
What about Ynnead, learns of the fate of the corps Emperor and get Guilliman to take her to him, they pull the plug and Ynnead does her thing sending or his souls to the warp to become one with the star child or she pulls all the emperors energy from the warp into his body making him hole again. He would be far stronger, his warp half has matured with all the devotion of the trillions of humanity. Some say Angels of death the burning Legion are already daemons/Angels of the emperor, that protect humanity. As the word of the Lectitio Divinitatus say: The Emperor Protects.
There jet another theory i have, is that Ynnead revives the Emperor and out of love for there children, they fight slaanesh and Nurgle to free Isha to rebirth the eldar race and create a new pocket in the warp or a new level of space time itself, for human and eldar souls while they rebirth. Maybe both of them can force korn to his knees and make khaine complete again with his blood.
We know the golden throne is Xenos and probably partly eldar, sins the mechanicum has no idea about most of its workings. It is possible that with help off Ynnead followers, remember there harlequins with her, they know more about well basically everything. But the web way and the warp and the gods especially sins there god is still alive and laughing and now the book of books in the black library has opened and fore told, The seventh Path a way to save the eldar. Maybe the ascension of the Emperor is revealed to them as there salvation.
But he is the trickster god so maybe they resurrect the emperor to fight chaos and gifts Ynnead his rose to give to the emperor as a token off love between there people. The new goddes not knowing that his rose is a god killing weapon kept safe over the Eons for just this purpose. And thus ridding themselves form chaos and the tainted humanity. Or more tragic could be she smells it herself and so death is destroyed and taken away form the eldar ones again, making them Immortal like there ancient kin was.
Ynnead and the Emperor get it on and Ynnead births the star child for both races as its savior after failing to defeat the chaos gods.
But as most eldar gods are like the primachs in there perfection and reflection of there race. ynnead is a bit hard to look at and resembles Slaanesh a bit to much for my liking. Maybe this is just all a trick for what do the eldar desire more then salvation. And Desire is a Trade of Slaanesh. Just like temptation is. Was it her words that tempted Eldrad to create Ynnead but he created a new slaanesh deamon princess, that seems to wave her word in people minds like honey. A xenos allowed near guilliman, without any ultramarine saying: -To protect the Imperium and deliver mankind from the evil of the xenos, the mutant, the witch and the heretic! Open fire! Is a trick off mind control of godly scale. Then their is her birth, during a Dark eldar orgy in access, a arena of blood and then a dual between two legends, would that not be a delightful offering, cant you tasted the sensation of that moment. But why you would say well the dark eldar and humans, have been sacrificing humans souls for a long time and there less tasty but there a lot of them. So if see eat the Emperor, I get human as a bonus. But in killing his body, releasing his mortal bonds the star child is fully born and the Eldar are even more extinct then before.
Its GW you never know.
Thanks for another great video!
I'm curious what anyone thinks about the possibility that the fetal positioned humanoid (11:40) is a depiction of a primarch (horus) being cast into space after having been snatched away from the emperor...Especially if the missing tablet portion depicts not just fire or the aquila but infact an aquila that is on fire #LetTheGalaxyBurn. Especially if the tablet depicts the possible/ alternate future foretold by "the Cabal", wherein humanity burns out along with chaos. Especially if the tablet reads chronologically from bottom-to-top.
I misheard you and my brain started trying to figure out what the art style "warp spawn deco" would look like.
i think that the unrelenting, and truly heartfelt belief in the god-emperor by -most- all of mankind is creating (or has created) a deity of sorts within the warp...if that deity is simply one of the chaos gods (chaos loves to kill chaos, so its not technically impossible), or truly exists as a benevolent force born of the same energies but completely apart from it....i dunno. either way, i consider it a 'new' entity. a being created by the collective unconscious of the galaxy-spanning human race. the MAN Emperor of Mankind exists separate from that. its not him, its just fashioned in his image. which brokers the question...if the true Emperor were to return to us some day....how would he react to the existence of a god thats basically him?
I remember a Necron leader once talking about a "dark seed in the east". The image of the human fetus on the broken tablet you talked about may refer to the very concept of this "dark seed". Considering that Earth is located in the galactic east it would seem to me that Humanity may be that "dark seed" that he referred to. Seeing as humanity has wrought utter havok upon the children of the old ones, the Aeldari, orks and various other xenos, humanity has unwittingly performed on the old ones xenos exactly what the necrons wanted, Vengeance. We unwittingly weakened them for the necrons and all they're doing now is a mop up. On the tablet the human fetus is located behind and above the necron image as if the human image is something that would come after and/or from the necrons. It can be concluded that the necrons are the ones to have planted the seed of humanity. Look at ancient human architecture being so similar to necrontyr architecture, human words like pharaoh being similar to to phaerons of the necrontyr ruling council, the way that necron heads are shaped so similarly to human ones, the similarity of human occult symbols to necron symbols, our psycholgical tendency to be very morbid and warlike, our predisposition to be worshipers of death and our internalized fear of it and lastly our constant search for some way to become immortal. These were all traits of the necrontyr before their biotransference. Humans have these very same traits. It can be rationalized that the necrontyr could be a distant ancestor or they may have visited Earth and passed their ways on to us. Considering that they took their sleep almost 65 million years ago they may have been responsible for the very extinction of the dinosaurs in order to make way for us to evolve and become what they could not, the destroyers of the old ones children and the rulers of the galaxy. But something must have went wrong the humanity that is now isn't what they expected or maybe the plan all along was to sow chaos, havoc and destruction. I've heard the theory that the Tau are the children of the necrons but it seems like they took too long to evolve into what they are compared to humans. I know it seems like I'm speaking heresy but I'm just positing a theory based on evidence of visible parallels between humans and necrontyr.
TLDR: this is a thoery that humans are children of the necrons and the star child image on the tablet is just their "Dark seed in the east".
That would explain why it sounded like the Emperor was kind of a prick to Robute Gulliman (can't spell his name well lol), it is possible that if the entity known as the star child was still apart of him he may of actually have been happy to see his "son" and not give Robute the impression that he was just a tool to be used and tossed aside. It also clarifies, at least for me WTF!!! happened in Text-to-Speech, I didn't get it till now lol.
Really good video. I enjoy a lot.
The starchild theory is explained in full in the inquisitor trilogy by Ian Watson and is old canon, which was retconned for the most part ever since. Give it a read
Been waiting for this one! :D
It exists that's for sure. It would also explain the living saints and the legion of the damned behaving like warp entities but for the sake of humanity
Long live the star child
I wonder how GW keeps track of this massive, massive continuity they have on their hands.
Sounds like the birth of Malal, Emperor "shedding all kindness from his being", leaving a being of pure Anarchy and Hopeless Destruction...
Going off an earlier video about Logar and the Cult of the Emperor, I believe the Star Child is Logar atempting to acheive apothosis to become a God to take out his anger on the Gods of Chaos who twisted him into giving them his brothers and destroying the very thing he loved and worshiped, ie his father, Most of this is due to way people in the books discribe seeing the Emperor in visions, the angelic forms and stronger emotions would be more characteristic of Logar rather than the Emperor as he never saw himself as a god or wanted to be considered one. So in my opinion if this image was the emperor then it would have less pomp and realism. Again if anyone has more to add please do i have not had a chance to read all the material i would need to make more informed theroy.
After watching the video, i got an idea. If/When Emperor will become chaos entity. There may be a group of eldar that worship God Emperor in hope of not losing they're soul to slaanesh. Thick how great would be eldar with batteries of "For the God Emperor!" and "The Emperor protects!".
The stuff about the emperor not wanting to go all out due to compassion, or lamenting the lossmof sanguinious is interesting, but we've repeatedly seen that the emperor only thinks of the primarchs as tools, not sons. It'll be interesting to see how the books will handle this stuff
Where is the warp entity of hope and redemption, aspects of these I would assume be shone threw many chapters and humans and even eldar
40k Theories, do you read many of the BL novels to obtain further 40k knowledge? If so, I think you would be a fantastic book reviewer. You could make videos reviewing different BL novels you've read. 😁
It is something I have been considering making a series out of :)
It really would be fantastic. I have a massive BL collection, so I would definitely enjoy it 😁
 Is it possible that if the star child indeed had many religious aspects to it like the angelic choir, is it possible that big E's compassion was like the germ that the religious energies were attracted to? A mote of dust that attracts water in the air and eventually forms a cloud?
I dont know if the gravitas and significance of the duel between The Emperor and Horus could be realized in film or animation media. The head cannon will always be better in my head. It is so ridiculously epic and such a defining moment in the 40k universe.
This totally explains why Guilliman believed him to be cold and devoid of love, right? Perhaps they'll have to journey to find the Star Child and reunite him with it in order for him to revive truly
This is very similar to Berserk. The Star Child is more of an egg,a chance for the emperor to be revived. After his soul gets hole again it will get back into his body and ressurect himself.
Does the blast of emotion the Emperor use against Horus explain the later scene where Guilliman goes to the Eternal Throne and gets the impression that the Emperor never really cared for his sons? That they were instead only tools?
Will the star child improve my interplanetary funkmanship like in the Pfunk song "star child"?
Imperial faith might as well breed two gods from the warp. One being the Star Child benevolent and pure representing all thats good about the emperor and mankind in general. The other one being a dark entity fed by the endless killing and fanatism in the emperors name, spawning demons like the Legion of the damned and living saints. Who will prevail? Or these two gods become one and change their name to Gorkamorka.
If I remember correctly the imperial saints started emerging after the emperors fight with Horus. It’s possible he really is a deity now but at the moment a minor one due to his soul not being complete but empowered by the beliefs of humanity over time. My question though is this: Do you think that’s why Leman Russ had his vision and took off into the warp? Supposedly visions can be granted by warp entities. Maybe the emperor wants to restore his physical form to have a perfect vessel for real space? If he is a warp deity he can’t return to real space anymore unless he can have a vessel to contain him.
I would love to see the story continue with the Emperor's body dying and him being reborn or something else.
There's an old theory. That the Star Child is in fact the part of the Emperor's soul that he cast into the warm during the battle with Horus. The part of himself that kept him from killing his own son, whom he'd grown to love. That part of him has been feeding off the light of the astronomicon for millennia, growing ever stronger. And in turn, helping spawn the Emperor's saints such as Celestine.
I think the "simple solder" was an agent of Chaos, whose purpose was to make sure Horus lost. Even if he was an actual space marine. The only reason he made it to the bridge was to ensure the outcome by "inspiring" the emperor, he was a pawn of Chaos.
Finally, a 40K god worth following.
Could this also explain the emperor receiving guilliman as a lost tool. Not a lost son?
